Ethereum and XRP are like fighting for a second place under Bitcoin. Of course, this is very interesting for us to continue watching and I think by buying both of these coins will benefit. And Ethereum I think will return to a second place because this coin has very big support.
Ethereum has already recovered its place in rank 2, but it didn't stay long that way, because ripple get back to its track again and reclaim the second slot. We can see some competition on both of these coins.
Due to the delay in the hardfork, we might see higher margin in marketcap between XRP and ETH. It is certain that that of ETH will reduce more.

blablabla I've heard this hundred times. Ethereum lives his own life and its fans live theirs! When ETH's falling down, and updates are delayed, they praise it! It's not okay to be such a zealot!
Am not surprise, this is not the first time XRP taking #2 position, that is how it was later last year but it wouldn't last long in that second position that ETH will definitely come ahead of XRP. And I believe that if ETH take second position and there is rise in price in ETH, some coins will also rise in price with ETH.
Such a change in the place of leaders can be expected throughout the whole of 2019, if the current flat continues, it will increase even more by the second quarter, holding on tight, guys.

I think it won't be hard for ethereum to regain its former place on the crypto market. Especially with the upcoming hardfork (was delayed from original schedule due to security issues) where the ethereum blockchain will experience a great change in features that can compete with newer coins.

Lol for how many times in 2018 ethereum has been overthrown by ripple and this first season of the year the scenarios happens again so theres no sense in asking this thread because the thing is nothing is permanent tin this market so expect many changes in top position this 2019 hopefully not will happen in bitcoin And now, Ethereum is so close to taking back its place. I still trust that Ethereum will still regain the number 2 spot it's still too early to tell if Ripple will rule the second spot this 2019, and the coming fork is Ethereum's big chance to take the second spot again if they cannot regain it, I don't know what will be.
That's good but lot of people still investing in ripple or XRP they have a Big trust on ripple which is ethereum can't reach that. But slowly ethereum getting higher for its price.
Even in this hard perioud of time I hope to see Ethereum at least on the number two. But a perfect situation would be Ethereum to be in number one of coinmarket

yes, if you have XRP, and they get to #2, it should be exchanged for ETH, since at the end, ETH will be above XRP easily

Absolutely Yes and will remain the second coin for a long time, ethereum is being doing well volume keep increasing and it getting more coins base on ethereum.
