in my opinion there is no altcoin that is better than bitcoin, because not only is bitcoin the first digital currency in the world, but bitcoin is the most recognized digital currency in society, so this is what causes 52% bitcoin dominance in the market cap and not anyone can rival that
Personally i prefer Ethereum than Bitcoin, because Ethereum is very potential to grow in the future with many potential in the future, ethereum has good platform and developer. So if you want to invest your money, i suggest you to invest your money on ethereum.
I think BTC is better. The price of ETH is very volatile. It is affected by the market. This year's market is not good. If there is no project to use ETH for crowdfunding, ETH has no value.
Bitcoin is not a normal coin, it is what started the whole Ethereum project. Bitcoin is my choice.
In terms of value they have big difference between them bitcoin is much higher compare to ethereum but when you see some other aspects i think ethereum is better using than bitcoin because can be use in different transaction of payment or smart contract platform of ICOs.
For me also I think this time in term of uses ethereum is better than bitcoin but if you talk about the market value it is still bitcoin is the best, ethereum network is always being used by ICOs for their smart contracts and no one used bitcoin.

I believe with you about that and as what I think also Btc has a better planned for the future not only in the crypto world but it may also well-known or recognized to the whole world. I didn't say Eth don't have it but as you can say it is very volatile and affected by the flow of the market investor is not actually sure of the coins they use to invest. 
I can't say ethereum is better than bitcoin per set, I think ethereum is different from bitcoin and both coin address different issue and are solving different problems. In the future, they will still service the interest of cryptocurrency but with different approach!
For me, BTC is better than ETH, now ETH is down to the lowest price, can drop below $ 100. So I no longer hold the ETH now, I keep the BTC and the other altcoin. so the opportunity will be better for me.

for now, Proof of Work from bitcoin is better than Ethereum, because Ethereum's total supply is unlimited, while bitcoin has a total supply of a maximum of 21 million BTC, it means that the possibility of BTC will be very rare and become an epic item in the future (if there is still enthusiasts)

Bitcoin is the king and ethereum is the queen of crypto currency world. So both have value in this world. I don't want to compare between them but if I consider the usage of this two coin, I must say that bitcoin is more valuable than the ethereum.
Both bitcoint and ethereum coint are good and strong but if for a long-term investment I think bitcoint is better, both of these coints each have their own advantages
Both of these coins are equally good they have their own advantages so many people are attracted by coins. This is somewhat different in my opinion currency. Ethereum as a whole looks like a more developed and polished project than bitcoin, but I think bitcoin already has a long journey and remains reliable, that's why it's still more valuable than Ethereum.
Those who think that Ethereum is better are because they believe in technology more and believe in what they can see in front of them. People who believe in Bitcoin are because they see Bitcoin being widely used and highly recognized!
in my opinion good and bad coins depend on the investor itself if the investor is sure of the coins they use to invest, of course the coin is good for the investor

Well, the conclusion to this debatable topic is conspicuous on the market. The most necessary aspect of every coin is its performance on market. Bitcoin outweighs Ethereum in performance in terms of position, price and market cap.
On paper, Ethereum seems to be better. Why? It learned from Bitcoin and fixed a couple of issues in its design plus, Ethereum community is much smaller and therefore, has more developers than speculators. I'm not sure which one has more stability though.
