the reason is that smart and rich people know how to take money from poor and stupid. and they will continue doing so.
I believe the whole point is that people are now selling Ethereum for fear of losing all their savings. Many people exchange Ethereum for bitcoin. After all, the price of cryptocurrencies depends on investments in it.
I personally think ethereum is currently experiencing a crisis of trust from investors, in general cryptocurrency as well. This can be caused by the many ICO projects that were present, but only a few were successful, and many ended in scams, so many investors suffered losses.
I think 10% for coin second place on coinmarketcap is too much. I think perhaps the capital mobilization projects are selling out the ETHs that they have mobilized investors
No one knows what's wrong with the blockchain, but eth's back-to-back declines have been very disappointing to me. I don't have the courage to look at the price now, I plan to look at the price two years from now.
This is due to market manipulation and Goldman Sachs decision to close its cryptocurrency unit. One of the bears sold in a short period of time more than 25,000 Ether, which led to a sharp fall in prices.
ETHEREUM will continue to slide in price because of too many ICOS within its eco system. More and more ICOS raise funds and dump their ETH so they can go on with operating for as long as possible, or just scam directly and dump the ETH, as we have no new money in Crypto and only speculators who take profits every few days, we just see this downward spiral. Until big new money comes in don't expect miracles if you are an ETH holder. Nothing good is happening right now with the price and it will continue to fall as more ICOS dump their stashes.
This is nothing because eth fall with all other currencies.

ETH crash is the hot topic since a month now. No one knows whats wrong with this blockchain because where it headed to the 1200 last year, it was the best project of all time and then it dumped all the way down to 800 USD this year. Everyone thought that this is might because of BTC and the rest market and nothing else but soon ETH started to revert back to its original prices of 300 bucks and thus shook everyone from their chair!! May be this heavy drop led most of the people to dump the ETH even further and thus as of now things are getting converted into the worst case scenario for the ETH. May be its the highly increased sell wall which is not letting it come up and most of the people are scared to invest into it.

This is a grave crisis that is happening to ethereum right now. It's been sitting at the price 280$ and up but confidentially fall within the span of 3 hours is a very alarming event.
This is the manipulation of the price before launching futures contracts for Ethereum. It s a very promising asset and today its price is greatly understated.
It's not just ETH that falls drastically, but almost all cryptocurrencies including bitcoin. Some said that it is about panic selling cause by the news regarding trashing the plan of Goldman Sachs bank about cryptocurrency trading desk. But don't worry, the market will recovwr again.

Someone with large capital decided to collapse the BTC rate, well, ETH, as well as other Altcoins got it and for dependence on BTC. Alas, the crypto-currency market is easy to manipulate.
I think the reason is the price drop of BTC. Because all the coins may react to the movements of the BTC. We had a big drop of BTC and I think ETH just followed it. Nothing special.
Ethereum is just so disappointing, while bitcoin keeps mooning at least still in $7000+, instead, ETH keeps dropping so badly now at $224 from $289 it was.
This becomes frustrating at times due to such fall which is bad and at times you feel like why does it happens and when will it rise like 500$ ETH touching. It has being a long time where people have being making losses if bought at high price.

Ethereum crash down probably somebody sell big amount, but during this season not only Ethereum the price down but almost all crypto also red .I hope in the couple of months or maybe until the end of this year will recover .
