Ethereum is useless coin, it is at its real value now, under $100. The ICO bubble in 2017 make Ethereum price high, because suddenly demand of it, after the burst of ICO bubble, Ethereum has become back to its real value, under $100.
Last year ethereum also experienced a decline as it is now, but to my knowledge does the price not fall as badly as this? how could this happen? what is behind it?
Last year the price of Ethereum greatly increased and was at number 2 coinmarketcap. That is because many companies use the Ethereum network. The Ethereum network is used as a platform for developing decentralized applications. so that it can increase the price of Ethereum on the crypto market. Now we see that ethereum has decreased very far, in my opinion, it is caused by companies that move to the EOS network. EOS is faster than ETH and cheaper. The company does not need ETH for Ethereum networks. Users and investors are gradually replacing ETH to EOS because according to the companies, EOS is better. EOS is also one of the strongest competitors for the Ethereum network.
Now Ethereum starts lowering its price and I think this is the beginning of great great bearish that happened this year. But besides of this great deflation of cryptocurrency we need to have enough patience and accept what's the real situation of the cryptomarket this year.
I remember that long time ago ethereum price was around 0.5 $. Having regard to the fact, that everything is possible on the market, why dont we reach this price once more?

Today is VERY VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE LASTS YEARS. Why? Because governments, banks, and traders did have NO PROBLEMS WITH LAWS, LEGISLATIONS AND TAXES. Today, it's a different history. IF ETH went to 0,5$ even 20$ IT'S ABSOLUTELY DEAD.
Again and again, market manipulation, ICOs are selling Ethereum tokens raised in their pre sale, people panic that Ethereum has no future and so on.
The market is going deeper and deeper and I have no doubts that we will reach even lower prices during this year. Ethereum will bounce back in the upcoming months, because I believe that the next Ethereum update will push the whole market up.

not only ethereum,but for all coins, this is worst condition for crypto, i dont know why but its seems like have so many people withdrawing their money from crypto, but this not the end ethereum, ethreum will increase again next years
It is true ethereum for now is really experiencing a low price, I don't know no one can predict when it will reach its normal price, of course this is related to the problem of time, to be able to return to its normal price certainly takes a short time

I have predicted that Ethereum will go low than this since the price of the coin is been dumped by ICOs that raised funds and turns out to be scam. By January 2019,it will be trading around 50 usd.

Some say it's because of these ICO devs dumping their shares and investors are not buying more eth to invest in ICO it's the declined of the ICO that makes the price of Bitcoin going down if you notice so many scams ICO and they are the one immediately selling when they accumulate funds.
The development upgrades took too long to be announced and they were postponed. In crypto it is too long time to wait for and upgrade. They were not communicated on the best way. Lot of different negative things has been added up and now we have ETH under $100. Despite all, ETH still remains one of the most trusted and potential coin.
ethereum gives us another chance to buy at low levels, if the current price is not a sign of another decline, in any case, the purchase for a long term will be profitable.
Ethereum is dropping more then other coins from few weeks and making huge negative sentiment on all ethereum based coins and today again it comes in 2 digits from 3 digits. It is very depressing movement of eth and eth based coins investors.
It seems to me that such a dramatic drop in the price of ethering that we see now can be explained only by one reason - large market players started a game as a result of which they want to oust all smaller players from the market.

The entire market is down as you can see as of today so its not only Eth but all so don't worry if theres a big downfall of Eth because it will recover soon as per crypto experts. So what we need to do is to wait and hodl or best is to buy more so that you will have more profits when bull runs come. 
i think that ETH price low is a direct consequence of ICO market crysis, as more than 90% of ICO tokens are on Ethereum blockchain. I really hope that ICO market will rise again and will find a way to eliminare scams in order to protect investors so that everyone can trust again ICOs...

Unfortunately, I do not have a clear answer to this question. I do not take into account the fall of the market. But I don’t understand why ETH fell so much. Here is the very moment that scares me ETH = $ 99.92
