Hey guys, I need some help.

I've got two rigs for mining right now and one is running pretty solid with a 7990 and two 7950s. My problem is that my second rig I'm trying to get going is being very fussy.

Rig 2 only has two Saphhire Radeon 280Xs for it right now but I can't for the life of my get it to run ethminer without crashing.

When I run ethminer it instantly crashes after creating the DAG and the error is always an appcrash with reference to msvcr110.dll not working properly. Here's some things I've tried to no success:

Uninstalled and reinstalled all redistributables
Tried newest catalyst drivers as well as the older ones that came on a CD with my cards (brand new from GPUShack)
Tried both Crossfire enabled/disabled. Tried one card by iteself.
Updated all BIOS on my motherboard as well as the whole system's drivers
Fresh install of Win 7 64 bit
Brand new EVGA 1000 PSU (eco mode on and off)

I also cannot get the blockchain to sync in Geth...ever.

Has anyone ever ran into this msvcr110.dll issue before how did you fix it? This thing has me at my wits end, need some help from the pros. Thanks guys.

Ah yes, you can use every Port now, the Proxy is supported everywhere, I believe i shut down 3030 some time ago.

Got my old GPUs dusted off and working again. Because of past experience mining other coins here, this is the first pool i pointed my rig at for ETH.

Looks like i should use Sammy's Proxy. How much will it increase my hash rate - 5-10 % ?

Good to see some of my BTC mining pool (ie: kano) mates here too. Smiley

It depends .. Usually it won't really increase the hashrate but you'll have a much more stable connection through the proxy.

Just try it, you'll notice the difference Smiley

Having no luck with Sammy's Proxy. I get this error: No connection could be made because target machine actively refused it.

Here's my config.json file:

{
   "threads": 2,

   "proxy": {
      "listen": "0.0.0.0:8546",
      "clientTimeout": "3m",
      "blockRefreshInterval": "100ms",
      "hashrateWindow": "15m",
      "submitHashrate": false,
      "luckWindow": "24h",
      "largeLuckWindow": "72h"
   },

   "frontend": {
      "listen": "0.0.0.0:8080",
      "login": "admin",
      "password": ""
   },

   "upstreamCheckInterval": "5s",
   "upstream": [
      {
         "pool": true,
         "name": "suprnova.cc",
         "url": "http://eth-us.suprnova.cc:3030/ATCkit.1/65",
         "timeout": "10s"
      }
   ],

   "newrelicEnabled": false,
   "newrelicName": "MyEtherProxy",
   "newrelicKey": "SECRET_KEY",
   "newrelicVerbose": false
}

Also, is this the correct  code to start the miner once i get the proxy working?:

ethminer.exe  -G -F http://127.0.0.1:8546/miner/ATCkit.1/65

Everything looks good, but I believe the last string is different:

ethminer.exe  -G -F http://127.0.0.1:8546/miner/65/ATCkit.1

I got the proxy to work by changing the url in my config.json file from :  "http://eth-us.suprnova.cc:3030/ATCkit.1/65"

                                to:  "http://eth-us.suprnova.cc:3000/ATCkit.1/65"

your suggested change for my ethminer  bat file worked too.

Am good to go. Smiley

I have 4 nvidia cards, how can I mine with multiple GPU's? And should I start geth before start mining or it's not needed?

It's hosted in the US, which proxy do you use ? You can also just use the Dwarfproxy and point it to the eth-apac node.

Ah, that might explain it. I'm in Africa, so the distance probably is the issue.

The port 80 pool on Dwarf is in the EU, much closer to me.

I cant use the dwarfproxy pool you have since I am behind a firewall and cannot connect to it.

Seems like my hashrate will move to dwarf, much cleaner connection for me

Sorry Sad

Ah no prob, mine wherever you get the best results, no prob.

Where is your port 80 server hosted? I keep getting DC/s and ethminer crashes when mining on that pool, even with the proxy running. hashrate was all over the place still, according to the dashboard and graph, only getting 75/mhs compared to the 93mhs reported on dwarfpool. Earnings are aslo a bit stronger

Tried out dwarfpool without proxy and so far and it's reporting my hashrate and earnings correctly:

ocminer, do you have idea whats wrong with Decred in last 2-3 days?
Almost all blocks are being found with lots of extra shares. last 24h pool luck is 154%
Same % are with coinmine and maxminers

Can you confirm that the old "fake shares" bug is not used atm?
Thanks

PS: at yiimp, where stratum is used the "income" on decred looks much closer to normal, even tho due to low hashrate they have only 3 blocks in last 24h

I've checked the stratum code for DCR and it seems there was indeed a bug which allowed some users to send fake shares, everything should be fixed now, we'll see how the stats look for the next 24h.

However this has not much todo with the ETH thread Smiley

Yeah, MSI 7990 do reach that number and sometimes stretch it with a proxy.

Huh?
Having just started to experiment with this pool on 1 GPU, I am very disappointed with the results. I am getting payouts equivalent to 37Mhs when the GPU is averaging 47 on my side. Is it me or is it the experience of others as well?

Which GPU gets you 47mh/s?

Make sure you use this calculator http://karldiab.com/EthereumMiningCalculator/

Try other pools, I also had very bad experience on suprnova - on other pools I'm getting much better results!
