There's plenty of games that has no house edge, one of them are sports betting or those that we call as skilled based games. It is not only the house edge that made us lose in the long run but the lack of discipline in gambling, we always want it instant and that makes us greedy. If we think it is easy to win in gambling then that would only make us lose as we will not work hard to discover a working method.

i guess there's also house edge from sports betting if you can see the diff from odd that's consider the house edge, and regarding to your statement it is correct that we make our loses because of lack of discipline when we are in the game we always wanted to win and to keep winning greediness follows and thats why we keep on losing.

That is not even the hardest thing I've ever heard 10-20% of profit is already a good reward for you. Why not try to consider those gamblers who are walking away without something and even lose a lot plus with debts pending to be paid by them? If you won 10%-20% that's a good thing that you should be thankful because most of us are just losing in the end.

I've read lately somewhere that one should not only consider how much you are willing to lose when you enter a casino but what's the limit in terms of profits. I definitely agree with this since most of the times you bet, at least one time you're in the green, but you keep playing and lose it all. The hardest thing is walking away with just 10-20% profit.

I doubt if you really know gambling well, in the first place, why would people gamble when it's impossible to win, knowing that it's impossible to win and still do gambling is only making them fool. I know it's very hard to win in gambling due to the edge they have and lack of discipline in our part but I don't think we cannot have a good day in gambling, we will experience a win and we have to make sure that is huge enough to quit.

At least take the time to read the post you are responding to, I did not say it was impossible to win I said it was impossible for everyone to win, some will win and some will lose, and if you took the time to read my post you will see I was talking about poker and in poker there is the possibility no one wins money in a table because in cash games the house gets a cut of every pot played and if the players are about the same level of skill then no one will obtain an edge over the other players.

I will say it actually depends on the position one is looking at losses in gambling in the log run for individuals engaging in gambling like myself and couple of others, I will say yes it is true but same thing cannot be said to the gambling site which will continue to win whether short term or long term simply because 'the house will always win' for them there is never losses in the long run and that is why for the reputable gambling sites, they have stayed with us for years and still counting.

Yeah, because believing without doing the right action is not enough to win, it should be both present as the factors that is necessary to win in gambling. We cannot just believe in our self and just trust our luck to give us something we are expecting, it's not realistic anymore and most likely we will just lose and blame ourselves in the end.

Even if you control your self, in the long run you will still lose. That's how gambling works and how the owner profit. The more you believe that when you control your self in gambling you will not lose, the more you will stay in the website and the more you will lose in the long run.

yeah actually it has proven by a lot of research about how much chance a player can win against house edge? the answer was below 1 percent or so. pretty clear i guess for everyone to avoid gambling for making profit . do it for entertainment purpose only , it wouldn't be a matter at all even you always lost.

I don't even think that it is going to be lesser than 1 percent because most of the time we are less fortunate with gambling and it is making us lose all the time.

No matter how we are going to be good at any gambling game, higher chances of losing is always there.

There might be people who are really lucky enough but they are really one of the kind and that's not going to happen to us.

but i think there are so many people who are even making good money in gambling and specially in sports gambling. because in sports gambling you have the advantage to use your previous experience, knowledge and skill, but it is a fact the most gambling games depend on your luck except sports gambling.

i think sports betting is different than other gambling games, because in sports betting we need to know almost all about each of team so we can make prediction. but in other gambling games, maybe only a few of that games that need to analyze so finally we will be looses in the long run.
