You guys tried https://www.forgetop.com/ for equihash mining !? Really nice pool, only just found it and very stable/fair which is always a plus these days   Smiley

First block reward already sent  Grin Grin

Also this is a new block explorer gift for the community, since it seems every one abandoned  the old ones.. (it is still synchronizing slowly but it will catch up!)

So in short - you are welcome to the new ZCL pool https://forgetop.com

If you hurry up you will be able to get the 0% mining fee , there is still some days left  Grin

Happy mining to all!

Vispilio,

I`m using ethos and DSTM miner and my rig crashes on regular bases between 1 and 3 hours of running. It could be due to your mentioned spikes. But what is the solution then  Huh

I had to lower my power consumption to 80 %, from 88 % previously. Even though electricity costs are not a big problem in my location and I have enough power on the Titanium rated PSU's, but still was encountering too many crashes recently...

Also now I'm convinced 6 * 1080 TI systems are much more stable than 7 or 8 or above, no matter what they tell you Smiley, there is also a small effect from 220Voltage lines in Europe where outside of industrial zones the 220V feed might falter momentarily during the day, causing most PSU's to reboot when running close to capacity...

We tested it over 100s of rig configurations, and while not the most cost effective set up, the most stable is 6 GPU / rig, for Nvidias running Cuda miners.

how does power effect the crashing?
what i read about power it will only use what it needs ( correct me if iam wrong)
example: if you set the power to 120 and the gpu needs only 80 then it will only use 80 and not 120

i have noticed that zcash miner and dtsm miner are not stable once u OC above 300 mem and 70 clock on my side ( using 6X 1070s amp ex)
they always crash at some point so i have to lower the OC to 50 and 250 to run stable for 24h
i have tested bminer with a higher oc settings  than both zec and dstm (70clock and 500mem ) and it never crashed once in 50hours
but i dont fully trust bminer yet because it doesnt show me correct hash rate although its a super stable app

so i think the power has nothing to do with the crash but the total OC you have done cant be handled by the software
if another software can handle the OC then the software that crashes has a fault imo

but if you can explain more than i will be more than happy to learn Smiley (new to this and learning)

Regards to all,
I'm new to this, so I would ask you for some guidance.
How do I install the program to make my logo fail?
And can I install a notification to arrive when the program is shut down?

P.S. I use the 1070 Ti Zotac graphics card, and I happen to turn off the program and turn it on again, but I do not know for any reason
Thanks for help

With 1070 Ti Zotac you have to fly my dress and dragon feast the mountain.

Hey I have some questions..new to the game. So I see people listing commands like --log & --pec, etc. So I'm guessing people launch their miner from the .bat file? However when I see how to create a log file or how to launch the api it seems I have to use the miner.exe so that the config file is then used instead of the bat file, correct?

So what's the norm here? Is the bat file being used when I use the miner.exe file or no?

I've always used the bat file and I would like to do so but I cannot get it to create a log file.

Edit: Got api working. Just need to get a log file created and actually log some data!

CUDA miners are known to crash more frequently and exhibit power spikes when there is an overload in the network.

Proof?

but no I know it's so much easier to be a clueless weirdo.

I bet you do.

Difficulty of your shares is determined by the pool and has nothing to do with "overload in the network". Also, which network?

Cheers

with the recent difficulty spike on ZCASH, to keep stability under check, you might need to lower power percentage, especially when using this miner on higher end cards like 1080 TI

This is the most ridiculous statement I've ever seen on bitcointalk

why would you comment without knowing anything about mining ?..

CUDA miners are known to crash more frequently and exhibit power spikes when there is an overload in the network. Unless you have designed one of the top 10 mining pools, or have written the miner code yourself, or have developed the ZCASH algorithm, the proper reaction from your side to this statement should be modest skepticism at best, but no I know it's so much easier to be a clueless weirdo...
