Nice promo as always i think im gonna bet on the chinese grand prix.

But i want to have some clues first from the free practice.
Agree with you when it comes betting on the F1, when available to watch how the drivers feel on the track and also a preview on how their cars perform driving out on the surface first before making any decisions on your selections are key.

Pity for the promotion for this race you can't bet on Max Verstappen to qualify.
Just goes to show you how dominate he really is when even the bookmakers can see a big advantage when placing bets on him.

This means there are two things that we are not sure about. First of all, we do not know who will get Sainz, that part is still unknown, but we also know that in 2026 Audi will get him, we just don't know who will get him for 2025 just for one season.

Secondly, we do not know who Mercedes will get instead of Hamilton. Anyone has any clues about these two?

The most discussed option for Sainz is Mercedes now to tell the truth. As Hamilton is leaving for Ferrari his seat is going to be available. Mercedes has Mick Schumacher as their reserve driver as well but would you expect him to get the seat? I don't think so.  Sad  He still couldn't prove himself to be reliable to drive for a big team.

Especially while Sainz is doing wonders at Ferrari this season I believe he would get more attention by Mercedes. Probably there won't be any space opening at Red Bull or McLaren next season so Mercedes would be the best option I think.

Lol, I have seen that shot of Gasly and I was laughing like crazy, dude stole the scene from Ronaldinho in one of the most important UCL matches of the day lol.

All jokes aside, while we do have the break, we should reconsider what seems to be the team orders for next season because that seems like something people are not talking about all that much. What do we know so far that is guaranteed? Hamilton is going to Ferrari, that's okay, that is a done deal and signed.

This means there are two things that we are not sure about. First of all, we do not know who will get Sainz, that part is still unknown, but we also know that in 2026 Audi will get him, we just don't know who will get him for 2025 just for one season.

No F1 this week so there is their void to find something else to fill for those F1 fans this weekend.
Seen Gasly in the crowd at the PSG match in UEFA Champions League the other day enjoying the night watching football with his girlfriend Kika Cerqueira Gomes.

You know it is a slow week in F1 when we begin talking about driver's girlfriends. Roll Eyes

I see this like a meme because here in south america most of the transmitions only comment about Ronaldinho and nobody knows or talk about the guy in front who was Pierre Gasly  Grin

Poor Pierre, nobody recognize him outside F1 lore.

Yeah breaks in F1 are very sad to follow, pure talk of non sense, we just hope to reach the race weekend as fast as we can.

Honestly tired of max winning every race ever  Shocked

Gonna bet on him next F1 just so he loses  Grin Angry
Are you saying that when you bet on something, it's a tendency to lose?  Tongue Maybe you can start now for the next race and hopefully we get to see the race be exciting in terms of racing, like equals with other cars and it's all up to the strategy and the ability of the driver.

I think we all need to do that is like a tribute we had to pay.

The worst part is seeing Max dad complaining about Red Bull.... come on man they give you and your children everything, the most winning car for 2 years in a row.

Just watching the race right now and they are half way done on lap 25 but from the looks of it another formal Verstappen race in the making.
There was a red flag at the very start where Albon and Ricciardo went into the barrier.
But since then it has been a clean race so far.

Wasn't surprised to see another one two by Red Bull on the podium yet again. Their cars seem to love this track in Japan.

Yeah @rohang best to bet on Verstappen so he ends up losing. Cheesy
Think many did last race on the track that his car gave up on him. The only way for him to lose a race all season.

Whoa!  Thanks for the update on qualifying as my television schedule is even screwed up because they said pre-qualifying was 6 hours ago but are still showing qualifying as if it was still live and not done yet in real time.
Had Verstappen to finish first in Q @1.35x on my acca today so that leg is done.

Don't mention it mate.  Smiley  The qualifying time was so early for me as well so it wasn't easy for me to get up and watch it from the start to the end.  Tongue

Aaand the race is also over!  Grin  The podium didn't surprise me much to tell the truth.

Leclerc tried to do his best really. Despite being able to take only 8th place in qualifying he had a great race and reached right behind Sainz by climbing 4 places. This resulted in his being the driver of the day too. If he had a better qualifying I'm pretty confident that he would be on podium instead of Sainz.

Red Bull drivers had a really comfortable race as the expectations. Verstappen is back at top again after the terrible Australia GP weekend.

Red Bull one two once again, as we all know as long as they do not have reliability issues, it's nearly impossible for Max to lose any races, just like last year. Good news for Mclaren, Norris will start third on the second line, that seems to be very good place to be at the start at Japan, could be very beneficial, the difference between second and third place is not that much considering the turn here, so I think it's a good place to be.

They are also showing that the yare good from the start of the season this time around and not at the end of the season. That should be something that people could focus on and we could definitely consider that to be something we could consider as a better way to go at the moment for sure.

I selected Verstappen to win the pole position in Japan and he did, but difference was very small by only 0.066s less than Perez.
Unless some malfunction happens or mistake in strategy both RedBull team members should be on podium.
It should be a hard battle between McLaren and Ferrari for third place.

Qualifying was this morning and Verstappen captured pole position as expected.  Smiley  Perez really deserves to be appreciated this season to tell the truth. Because it looks like he has cleared his mind finally.

The only doubt I have about Perez is his performance in the second half of the season. He started great in 2023 too but started to get stuck below the expectations after a while. I hope we don't see the same scenario again. Leclerc is still having problems in his car. He is still not able to show his full potential while Sainz is doing much better. It looks like Sainz will make the rivalry with him 3-0 in the races so far.

Nice work by Norris as he took 3rd place, maybe a podium might be seen who knows.

This would be a challenging track for the drivers with the S-Curves around the first sector, it's pretty amazing to see some action there. Most cars would have to change in configurations with elevation changes and DRS zone positioning. I can't wait to watch the race.
Nice track I would think they run their Suzuka crotch rockets on so it would explain the S-Curve.

Both the practices were run and just waiting on the third one which will take place in around 14 hours from now.
Looks like Verstappen took the first one and Piastri the second:

Never expected that many teams and drivers didn't try the wet track as RB Honda RBPT's Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Mercedes's Lewis Hamilton, and McLaren's Oscar Piastri were the only drivers  that had time, and tried out the wet track on the 2nd practice and finished the race it was evident that RB Racing Honda RBPT Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez the 2 leaders didn't try out the wet track ASTON MARTIN's Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll didn't show up in the 2nd practice while George Russell was the only Mercedes that didn't come out on the track,

While the results for Practice 3 are out and just like in Practice 1 Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez dominated the scene, and Mercedes's George Russell has come in the 3rd place for sure the cooling upgrade of the RB20 has again proven very effective as the Red Bull don't need to risk it in the 2nd practice to prove themselves that they are the fastest team but not risking it has a better reward.
