That is critical if Ferrari is having such failures when they have equipment malfunctions causing a driver to not retain enough water to finish a race in the Miami heat. As you can see after the race many drivers were pouring the water from their drinking bottles over their heads. What if that system error affected his breathing during the race?
So Leclerc would have a hard time retaining proper oxygen levels during the race from the G-Force pressure produced by the speeds these cars achieve?

Of course, I totally agree. Ferrari had this kind of malfunctions before as well. There has been a long time and they are still unable to fix these problems.  Sad  Maybe Leclerc somehow managed here but this wouldn't always happen. It is risking the health of the driver quite much. Vasseur should warn his crew about the importance of this situation.

Thanks for contributing some useful information for the rest of us F1 fans that actually care about these facts and not just the outcome for their bets or pool results.

You're welcome.  Smiley  I find this kind of details interesting and important too. In the end F1 isn't all about who won etc..

I like the commentators who give this kind of details instead of doing their job plainly.

Next stop. Imola, Italy.

Last year (2023) the Imola Grand Prix was cancelled due to heavy rain and flooding.

Flood in Imola: F1 Emilia-Romagna cancelled
Why was the F1 Imola race cancelled?
Quote
Due to heavy rains, the Santerno River flowing in close proximity to the circuit has swelled. The responsible authorities have identified a very high risk of flooding and landslides, and as a result, the Formula 1 paddock at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit was evacuated on Tuesday, May 16. Due to the evacuation, it is not possible to ensure that the race can take place on the weekend as planned. During the night of May 17, all access roads to the circuit were flooded. Although the F1 paddock was unaffected, the flooding affected the F2 and F3 paddocks. Until Wednesday, the personnel responsible for preparing the race were unable to reach the circuit.

This year, it looks like good weather is smiling on them and the race will happen although it might be different as it's getting hot there. Maybe a slight rain too.
Curiosity strikes. How do racers keep themselves cool in hot weather?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pz-v4MFiMdo

1. Some do train their bodies to condition in a high temperature and survive it.
2. Ice baths. This really works. I mean, I am from a high-temperature country, and whenever I go to the pool with cold water and bathe for like 2 or 3 hours. It will take hours before I feel the heat again. The only problem is, it gets you sleepy. Cheesy
3. Cooling Vest. Filled with ice packs.

I think Lando has become a consistent contender and this will turn out a great year for the F1 fans, I think.
It depends. The car needs to stay powerful in the meantime. McLaren brought a huge update to Miami. This also helped Norris a great deal here.

However he is absolutely a wonderful driver. One of the most talented drivers on the grid undoubtedly. He got so many podiums - it must be 15 - until this race but still no win. Finally he took advantage of this chance and got his first career win. I would love to see Norris being a contender for podium all the time but it depends on McLaren to keep up with others in power.

By the way I read that Leclerc wasn't able to drink water during the race because of a system error. Driving a full race without water at 60° and still being on podium is really tough and nice work.

I really do not think that Norris could have gotten a win with that SC giving him such a huge advantage, he definitely won because of that there is no doubt about it.

However, does that mean he didn't deserve it? Of course not, while both the SC being like that allowed him to win plus the new upgrade made mclaren much better, all of that is just shows that Mclaren got the right driver at the wheel when the time hits perfectly. Look at Red Bull, you think they could just put some terrible drivers and hope that they have good enough of a car to win? Of course not, they get the best driver Max at the seat, so does Mclaren, they are aware how awesome Norris is and he deserved the win.

Norris is growing better and better with time as well, he used to be a kid who rushed into things, now he is seeing more stuff and being more mature and I bet that he will win a lot more after this one. Just needs to wait until Red Bull car gets worse or crashes Cheesy.

So Lando takes Miami. A very interesting result where almost everybody thought it was going to be another Max easy win.

Tell me about it, 5 bets lost because I only focused on the second part, I nailed the podium twice but had Max as the winner, I guessed the points 2 times but again with Max winner,  and the only time I didn't pick anything about Redbull I choose both Ferraris on podium.

Anyhow bookies are not impressed, Max still has a 1.16/1.08 ods on next race, So I guess i'll go from now on with head-to-head between Ferrari and McLaren for both cars and pilots.

This is like the race last year in Singapore where the odds are still "the predicted" one with Max knowing how dominating he is. I really think there were a lot of stakes with Lando and was able to take advantage of making Lando the favorite. He really was amazing staying ahead and having a great margin as well.

Saw that and it could ended early for alot of drivers but only Sargent seems to be the one to not make it til the end of the races.

Surprise was Norris lead most of the rest of the race after the yellow flag where most of cars near enough to the pitstop lane were able to pit and change tyres. Lucky for him since he had a clear path to the finish after that. Winning by the margin that he did was so very impressive for McLaren.

I think Ferrari is the only team who has from plan A to plan E or F and that  is kinda embarrassing right ? they are not certain on their calls no matter what and that will confuse their drivers and also take some potential away from them during races. Hopefully Vasseur will change this mentality because Lewis will certainly not accept something like this and it's that type of driver who will make everyone respect him from mechanics to strategists and so on.

Meanwhile , race has just began and Perez almost took out both Ferraris  Grin

Is there anything left to bet on these races unless you go just for the fun of it for over 10 or god knows 25:1 odds?
Betting on Max for everything gives almost no returns whatsoever, the fastest lap, winning margin, for a serious return bet you need to look at what the other guys do, Leclerc has already screwed me twice on a podium bet, Max winning and Leclerc podium is 1.53, I would rather pick Sainz in the top 6 for just 1.45 despite their performance the other day.

So what combinations do you guys still bet, podium, points, or versus?
I need a motive to cheer for some other guy and I can't find one.

The sprint qualifying was last night and the results were a little interesting. Except Verstappen's taking the pole for the sprint race today.  Grin

Leclerc did a great work by finishing between Verstappen and Perez. Ricciardo had a great run and finished in 4th place. Racing Bulls must be really delighted with that.

Now there are 4 hours to go for the sprint race...

She is seen quite often sitting there while watching the races. Could it be from having hung out and spotted with Lewis Hamilton on several occasions?
I don't know.

We have seen them together many times so far. But later I saw it on the news like they weren't actually dating. Maybe they are at a point between good friends and lovers I don't know.
It was a Verstappen weekend in Miami like it was planned to be.
Leclerc came close but no cigar with half a second off Max's time of sprint/qualifying laps.

Actually Leclerc really did an amazing job yesterday as he blundered practice but managed to get that 2nd place in front of Perez who once again proves that only that car puts him in front because without that car I doubt he will be in top 10.

Yep , only a few hours left and I think Piastri might do a surprise and finish in top 3.
Fully afgreed with you there boltz. But Ferrari seem to have driver team issues as you can see from their radio logs during every race. The team seems to be the problem to the drivers. Embarrassed
Whether it be "Lets go to plan D instead of plan B!" or it is during a pitstop giving the wrong tyres that the drivers know won't win them the race to begin with.
It is as if they are purely sabotaging both Leclerc & Sainz to fail out the gate.
So hello Red Bull for Carlos Jr. from the F1 rags on the internet.

Yes, it was a really great improvement by Leclerc. He is starting to be more ambitious seemingly. He was struggling to keep up with Sainz at the beginning of the season but Leclerc was complaining about the car as well.  Sad

The sprint race started with incidents and Norris - Stroll were out already. I got sad for Hamilton as all his effort was in vain after a huge time penalty. As for Piastri he finished where he started, 6th place.

Qualifiers have just began friends and it seems that some bookies gave Norris a pretty good chance to actually win against Verstappen ? I could see this happening as Max said multiples times that his car has no grip but I think he is the only one who managed to feel that.

Anyway, I do hope we will have another driver in pole besides Max because I've skipped last 2 races in F1 and I must say the current season of F1 is one of the most boring seasons of all time ...and I've been watching F1 since 98'.

Qualifying was great for Ferrari drivers.  Cool  We saw Verstappen - Leclerc - Sainz trio in top 3. There was only 0.2 sec gap between 1st and 3rd places.

McLarens were in 5th and 6th places. I feel another good race for them. But this time I believe Ferrari are quite likely to finish ahead of them. They have been quite faster so far.

Gossips. Cheesy TMZ.

But I think you are right, Shakira has been spotted many times during races, and according to reports they are just having fun and flirting while they are trying to get to know each other. Although there's no claim yet if they are dating or not. I guess they just like the company but I bet we know where it will go. It is said that it's Carlos Sainz who became the bridge between the two.
Now we are turning TMZ here. Grin

On the other hand, it would be really great to see Mr. 305 or JLo do the honors and it will probably add more spice to the race and be more explosive, although it already is.

Well this new about F1 i think it can be good for me as a Argentinian.

Globant becomes partner with the F1.

And you are thinking , why is this good as a argentinian?. Well Globant is an argentinian enterprise one of the so called unicorns and is backing since alst year Franco Colapinto career in F2 alongside YPF (argentinain antional oil company), so MAYBE this can put more solid base to Franco Colapinto to become a F1 driver in the future, he is now in the williams academy..... finger crossed.

Adrian Newey is about to leave Red Bull in 2025. But it is reported that he is going to continue on the RB17 project anyway.

What team would you like to see him at? For now Ferrari looks like the strongest route for him. I wonder how many teams will go after him considering how great engineer he is. But I guess not many because of his probable high cost.  Tongue

F1 in Miami should be a wild one and you just know Pitbull will show up for the show.
Might we get a concert by him or maybe J-Lo? Grin
Pitbull, really? It would be awesome!  Grin  I have grown up listening to his songs... It would bring back my memories of 2010s. Pitbull and J-Lo were a really great duo too those times so it would be nice to see both of them in Miami.

Especially in Miami where there is a huge latino population and it's close proximity to Cuba being a good factor of this coming into play.
The Columbian singer had settled there according to this article -
but as with any celebrity gossip rag tag site take caution with what they state as fact and not just fallacy drivel:
