Announcement: PPS fee will be lowered from 4% to 3%, effective July 1, 2016. This new fee policy applies to all coins including Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum.

It is FUD being spread by blockstream because they know that the large Chinese pools are going to block SegWit if blockstream does not merge a HF involving a 2MB+ max block size into core.

He failed to mention that when pools were generating blocks that were 900k+, most nodes were under increased stress due to spam transactions being relayed and a huge backlog of transactions sitting in nodes' mempools.

He was also greatly misrepresenting SPV mining.

Another question I have is: If someone in our f2pool finds a block does our cut increase in size? with a pps system are we getting a cut based on how often we leave our miners on? is pps a good payout for someone who leaves their miner on 24/7?
My understanding is that f2pool uses a PPS (Pay Per Share) payout system. This means that you will be paid based on how much mining capacity that you provide to the pool. PPS will eliminate variance as you will be paid the same amount regardless of the pool's luck. I would say that PPS is a good model for individual miners unless they have a substantially sized mining farm so that even with bad luck, they will still find several blocks per day and they have infrastructure in place that will ensure that any found block will get quickly propagated throughout the network.
PPS has the lowest variance and the highest fees.

anyone else getting double the stale shares their eth proxy is reporting submitted and accepted/rejected?

some quick and dirty forensic work is revealing 3 packets being sent to 139.224.20.191 upon discovery of any share and a packet length of 55 responding shortly thereafter confirming receipt or rejection.

can anyone confirm thats a correct f2pool server?

i'll dive further in to this when time allows, until then any insight may be appreciated.

here is my eth-proxy config that I launch proxy:

###
# Examples of command line for miners:
#
#   ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -G -F http://HOST:PORT/
#   ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 300 -G -F http://HOST:PORT/rig1
#
#   ethminer.exe -G -F http://127.0.0.1:8080/
#   ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 100 -G -F http://192.168.0.33:8080/rig1
#
#  farm-recheck parameter is very individual. Just test different values.
#
#  You can submit shares without workername or
#  You can provide workername:
#   - with url like "/rig1"
#   - or use automatically numbering(integer) based on IP of miner
#
#  Servers:
#    EU-Server:  eth-eu.dwarfpool.com  (France)
#    US-Server:  eth-us.dwarfpool.com  (EastCoast: Montreal,Canada)
#    US-Server:  eth-us2.dwarfpool.com (WestCoast: Las Vegas)
#    RU-Server:  eth-ru.dwarfpool.com  (Moscow)
#    HK-Server:  eth-hk.dwarfpool.com  (Hong-Kong)
#    CN-Server:  eth-cn.dwarfpool.com  (Shanghai)
#    SG-Server:  eth-sg.dwarfpool.com  (Singapore)
#    AU-Server:  eth-au.dwarfpool.com  (Melbourne)

I don't think failover pools are active, but I found them either in this thread or there was actually an ftpool proxy that is no longer listed.
once I launch proxy, I launch ethminer-opencl-0.9.41 bat file:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
SET GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT = 100

ethminer --opencl-platform 1 --farm-recheck 200 -G -F http://127.0.0.1:8080/userid --cl-extragpu-mem 0

Just threw an extra card in my desktop, maybe could be better written out, but works for me. Hope this helps

how are you guys mining eth at f2pool?

i always got:

Code:
miner  11:55:05|ethminer  Getting work package...
✘  11:55:07|ethminer  Failed to submit hashrate.
  ✘  11:55:07|ethminer  Dynamic exception type: N7jsonrpc16JsonRpcExceptionE
std::exception::what: Exception -32003 : Client connector error: libcurl error: 56

when using ethminer directly with ./ethminer --cl-global-work 16384 --cl-local-work 256 -G -F http://eth.f2pool.com:8008/0xMYWALLETADDY --cl-extragpu-mem 0

and

Code:
WARNING proxy # Ethereum Stratum proxy version: 0.0.5
WARNING proxy # Trying to connect to Stratum pool at http://eth.f2pool.com:8008

when attempting through eth-proxy
