yes a specific source used for settlement or something. It seems like they would deal with disputes constantly.

fairlay is it possible to get a json template for a market maker for the API or a collection of APIs people are using maybe???

how do you settle user entered markets, like when will man step foot on mars, who decides it and settles it? and what if there is a dispute.  thanks for all the info!

There should be a specific way in my opinion to settle some of these disputes.

Your example "when will man step foot on mars" is not a good example because it could be 50 years before it happens and until it happens we won't know. Nobody would take that bet.

Problem is with bets like "Are both the England Princesses Both Pregnant and Due at the Same time"? Which appears to be appearing in many tabloid magazines.

Basically Tabloid magazines are usually false, but how would Fairlay handle this situation since technically , its in the news and could be true.

Hence, its better not taking any bets where the results aren't easy to prove.

That's a good question. You may set any account as settler if you create the market via the API. By default the market creator and an account controlled by Fairlay is set as settler. The account that actually settles the market has to put the entire volume of the market on hold for 24 hours.

I  create my own lines for MLB and NBA is there a way for me to post up these games before you post them on your site so I can be the first one to take action on these games? thanks
You can create your own markets via the API whenever you like.

but only in the news section not in the sports section or has that changed?

via the API you can do anything, via website only in news.

can you confirm how long is currently taking you to process regular withdrawals?

been waiting for over 5h and amount is less that 60 mbtc

That seems unusual. My "regular" withdrawal took only 20 minutes.

But it may be that Fairlay has done their part and it is just delayed in being posted on the receiving site? Under Statement, does Fairlay show it as "completed" or "in process?"

they have confirmed me that instead of a withdrawal I made a transfer to another fairlay user.

normal withdrawal
https://fairlay.com/transaction/withdrawal/

transfer of funds to other users
https://fairlay.com/transaction/payment/new/

thing is I did not want to make such a transfer, I know no user.
they told me this

QUOTE
I suppose this was part of your BTC address but our system recognized it as new user that you are sending funds to. As I recall, we had similar problem before and we were able to fix it and send the funds back to original user (in this case you) so there is no need to worry. Just have a bit of patience.
UNQUOTE

this week it is the second time I have issues using fairlay.
last Thursday I bet on a soccer match and since it was the only one betting in that market I was subject to a freeze of funds for 24h....
Now, trying to withdraw this new option to send funds to other customers is on the same tab as the withdrawals.

My suggestion, put these transfers in a different tab (call it transfer, other bookies do have the same, especially when transfer funds between sportbooks wallet and casino wallet.

Finally, bookies usually inform their users whenever there is a change to their terms and conditions.
I believe I did not receive such notice advising about these new features.

Fairlay, please take in consideration the above suggestions.
I do not want to have to read the terms and conditions each time I use my account just to be sure I am aware of all the changes....
