Just so everyone knows, Fairlay has recently unfairly voided my sizeable esports bet (7.99 mbtc won) and refused to give me my money after numerous support requests. I want my money back, and they refuse to do anything. I've been a fairlay user for years, but now it seems they've started to steal money from their punters. Do not bet with fairlay if you want your money after you win. There was a dispute about if my bet was made inplay or before the match started. I made the bet during the draft, like I often do, and then they claimed that was during the match. . I suggest other betting with other books, provided you like not having your bets unfairly voided.

I'm not quite sure why, but Fairlay has decided to incorrectly interpret Biden's swearing in as the time when he became president (11:48am).
The Constitution says: "The terms of the President and the Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January". Obviously having two presidents is impossible.
As such, they are incorrectly unsettling a small (12.1 mbtc) bet for Biden to be president that happened at 11:52am.

I'm not that upset because this is for a small bet, but I would rather see Fairlay follow the rules of the bet which said NOTHING about swearing in.
They also unsettled the entire market with 147,000 mbtc of volume - just so they could do this mistake.
I guess their argument is that the oath was a pivotal moment, but I'd say it wasn't. There is no clear point between 12:01am on Jan 20, and 11:59am Jan 20 where there was a sudden shift in the odds that Biden would become president. There were many gradual things that happened: Trump leaving the building, the inauguration starting, the military band not kidnapping Biden, no noticeable protests that could prevent it, Harris getting inaugurated, the snow and weather being very mild, etc.

I think the defense stuff they put in place might be the cause of the slow response but it is working now and zero issues
the most important thing is that it works well and that there are no problems and it may also be that the customer service is busy and they therefore have difficulty with the number of requests but if everything works well you do not need the customer service quickly in that they attach less priority to this

These exchange options were always present of their site, but it's easier to find them now on the homepage. I like how they organized everything though I wish they set the default odds as decimal instead of percentage(Minor issue).
I actually didn't know that haha, suppose I've never really explored Fairlay so much, usually I just head straight to my bookmark filters and look for my games.
I don't even remember default odds. Mine have been set to decimal though so since my login is saved, it always shows as decimal. Just save your account settings =)

Performance of the site doesn't seem great like before on my mobile and I am on a 125 Mbps broadband connection. Hope the team makes some much needed tweaks to the performance asap.
Just noticed the new landing page for the site greeting me now (I usually bookmark markets so haven't checked landing in a while) and it's a whole load of exchange options. Looks pretty clean, and haven't had the time to properly check out the rates, but talk about p2p exchange in a whole different way, eh? Might consider using it down the line for LTC/ETH as I do get some of those in lieu of BTC.

Did they disclose the backend issues that they are experiencing and can you share an update if it is serious issues that needs an asap response as you are talking about funds, so I am wondering if it has been fixed already.
Receiving an attack is a serious problem for sure especially if it is affecting the flow of the money in their platform and what is worst is if incase there are funds that were stolen and they just said that funds are secure just to make the users calm.

Edit: Apperantly the site's been under attack and some services are not working including my balance update issue. They can't give any ETA for things going back to normal since almost all of their technical staff is on holiday.
Damn. Did hackers steal funds successfully or something? I tried accessing the site and it loaded up fine, but the message about the attack was displayed on top. Horrible time for an attack.I was planning on betting on the Biden-Trump winner bet, but that might be risky considering current conditions. I hope they restore all services asap.
They said funds are secure. It's just you can't do much at the moment until they sort it out.

I wanted to check here first if there's something wrong with the site in general since recently I saw a couple of tweets that mention problems with the site without going into details. Anyways, I'll contact support then.
