Only posting here because at least a couple of people have asked me. So this is a sort of PSA.

Note that Fairlay has moved to a new site. I'd ask to update OP or to make a new thread -- so newbies don't get misled. I quote from their site message that you'll only see in the trollbox:

Quote
Fairlay is closed for registration. To get an invite code for registration at our new platform https://app.bitcoin-betting.com/ reach us via [email protected] email or direct message at our X page: https://x.com/_bitcoinbetting

P.S. I no longer play at Fairlay. Was my favourite site for a long time, still think they're very good with longshot odds, but the liquidity will always be an issue for big players, as well as perhaps the issue above you'll see.

cool that a new platform will be released soon

i understand that on Fairlay there is always a marketmaker for a listed sporting event. The exact offer of different matches, and the exact same odds, fairlay using Pinnacle "terms and conditions" for betting, as well as reading other peoples comments i understand that the default marketmaker on fairlay is Pinnacle. That is most of the bets are matched by Pinnacle, unless some other fairlay member was willing to accept a bet, thus creating a market offer.

I was curious about it and followed odds of some markets. I noticed that when odds change on pinnacle, they automatically change in Fairlay also. They are always the same as pinnacle, always a little bit (very little to be honest) smaller. Also the way fairlay website works, it doesnt update the odds in real real time, but if you refresh fairlay market page after a change in pinnacle, it will always show the exact pinnacle odds (minus the small commission i suppose?).

So, @Ognjen-Support, am i right that Pinnacle is the default marketmaker (the ones actually accepting users's bets) on Fairlay ?

So did anybody test if they are taking new members now?
Since betfair won't make any moves to add new payment options it's time for me to find a new betting exchange. Betfair just doesn't go with the time and stay on the same stuff for a decade now.

As a person living in Japan they offer a whopping 3 (!!) options to choose from to fund the account, it's hilarious. And these options are as lame as credit card, bank wire and payz, which is a total joke company.

I have never tried fairlay, hopefully the market liquidity is somehow close to betfair. If so it might be a good alternative.
I don't know if they are accepting new members now, but I have been a member for a while and I felt that the liquidity is nowhere near Betfair's liquidity though it is decent especially on popular markets.

I suggest checking out Orbit exchange which is also similar to Betfair with great liquidities though you can only access them through agents like Betinasia etc.

My account is still active, and they seem to be up to date with wagers and activity, although I haven't played in a long time.

I found this message on the Chat from April 4:

"Registration is disabled as we are working on the new platform. On it, access will be possible only via invites by already existing members."

On March 23, they said: "It's already in the testing phase, so hopefully soon.:

That's the first good news, since very long time, and it's quite surprising to be honest because they haven't posted anything on their twitter account since months. I don't know if they are afraid of vicious bugs hidden on their brand new platform or if they are afraid of some AML, anti-crypto regulation asking KYC, casino license or something like that but I hope I will be able to be invited by some members soon.

let me clarify a few things - an account on Fairlay is not really a private account per say, not like with any other bookmaker. It does not contain any of your personal information, only the email address and password (both can be changed before transferring). These accounts were really easy to come by, as anybody could register "a thousand" of them with just a different email. Fairlay says that they are in the final period of testing and a new version will be available soon, so people will be able to register for new accounts.

To answer your concern points:

1. I am totally aware of all the risks associated with my proposed transferring procedure and i am ok with them. If you think about it, all the risks are MINE, while the original owner of the account gets paid and has ZERO RISK afterwards. I think its a pretty good deal. I will be able to register there myself soon, but i just want it to be done quick, thats it.

2. I think English being not my native language played a role in that and i was misunderstood. I need a valid account, that i can bet from. Thats it.

with all that being said, i would totally prefer somebody of stature from Bitcointalk to act as an Escrow (for a fee of course), somebody like yourself, for example.

1. This is a fairly sound approach, although I am absolutely against private account trading, no matter how simple it may seem. If the status of the platform is still ambiguous, it is really dangerous to risk what you want to do. The question remains about why you insist on using Fairplay as if it is the only platform available.

2. thank's for the correction. Your English is very good and I can see that your level is very good. In general, do not hesitate to use a translator if other methods are not possible.

Thank you also for your trust, but I do not like to act like Escrow regarding personal accounts, even if they are paid. I can also confirm that any approved Escrow here on the forum will not accept this. Unfortunately, your options are very limited, and this increases the risk.

We are all surprised that the activity of all channels and representatives affiliated with the platform has stopped, whether here on the forum or on any other website. It's been more than two years and no updates of any kind. What is even more surprising is that we stopped accepting new registrants at the same time that we did not hear any complaints about the disruption of withdrawals or deposits for old registrants. This ambiguity is not in the platform’s interest if it intends to remain in the market, and I find it necessary to warn users about it until clarifying updates are issued.

At the same time when questions about Fairplay are increasing, you are looking to buy accounts on it. Can you explain to us what you intend to do with these accounts or are you aware of updates to the platform that we have not heard of?

its GAMBLING Wink

i want to start betting on that platform and i am willing to pay real money for the opportunity (as the registration is currently closed, i will pay money to somebody, who has opened an account, when it was still possible). Accounts are totally anonymous, so "transferring" and account like that is really easy and totally safe.

I am willing to take that GAMBLE with all the uncertainty about this platform.

Although I do not encourage anyone to sell a private account or buy a private account from someone else, I find your idea reasonable to acquire a Fairplay account since registration is not available. But except for two points:
- First, because of the current situation of the platform, which we are no longer sure of what is happening with the absence of official clarification on any of its channels. This means that it would be risky to use the platform in this case, in addition to the risk of having an account that is not even registered with your correct info.
- Secondly, in your previous answer you did not specify that you intend to purchase one account, and whoever reads will understand that you want to purchase several accounts.

i really want to start betting on Fairlay, but since the registration is currently not possible, i can not.

So, if you have an old account on Fairlay (an account is ONLY your email and password really (which can be changed), no other information was needed to be provided to Fairlay by you), message me, i might buy it from you.

Do any of you currently bet on Farlay?
How about liquidity?
It would be great to have some news from the staff indeed because it's the first time I see a sportbook not allowing new registrations for such a long time, it lasts for more than one year and a half now, if I'm not mistaken. In addition their twitter account seems to be dead for several months, I don't understand what happened (a hack?) but it seems to be serious.

Fairlay is great! Never had a problem with liquidity, but I wasn't a big player. Just play contests now.

the minor league limits dropped drastically.hope they raise them after the update

You guys crushed em too hard.

But I hope you realize you can hit the lines multiple times, it just moves after you max bet it one way.

Also it moves the whole market, like pinny will move instantly if you move it via Fairlay and other sites that tail them will also move.

Kinda crazy esp on small markets like I was betting rugby 7s on there a while back and moving lines hard everywhere. Feels powerful

Truly for the experts tho, only the best in the world can beat these lines. If you do you're literally a market maker

Makes you curious, I've heard they're associated with pinnacle before. Or at least they have an API and an account into there and are laying off, it seems.

So if limits go up there on something, they'd go up on Fairlay as well, one would think
