A message we got today:

"hi,
Please Send 2 Bitcoin for me,
Send BTC to Stop DDoS Attack for ever and i leave you forever,
I promise ! I'm not a liar.
this attack is for test.
Send 2 BTC to stop it.
my BTC address: 1MJ8yBfFKVVzUr3XFoP37unwDDx4sjyMZi
Thanks"

obviously we will not pay. But if fairlay.com does not response in the next time this might be the reason. We will see how it goes but we are pretty confident that we can handle it even if fairlay.com is only hardly reachable for a short period of time.

We are very sorry for the delay of detection of deposits and the delay of some cashouts as well.

i sent back the 120 mBTC you credited to my account to the BTC address your FairlaySupport account mentioned in his pm to me.
However the cashout still seems to be delayed.

(i sent another pm with a screenshot to the FairlaySupport account)

Thanks - we are on it. This is still a consequence of the block reindexing but should be solved very soon and no further actions are required from your side.

P.S: We are eager to get some feedback on the API!

We are very sorry for the delay of detection of deposits and the delay of some cashouts as well.

The reason was we where adding a new feature. Now it is possible to use the anonymous bets without specifying an address where we send the money back. If you choose to do so we will send the money back to one of the input addresses. For this function it was necessary to reindex our server Bitcoin node. This took way longer than expected and during this time our server could not proceed any Bitcoin transactions.

Now we are back and all set. This new feature might especially be useful for those who want to use Fairlay from a mobile device, because with this it is a hassle to copy in a Bitcoin address. However - a ticket to improve the appearance of the site is one of the things we are doing next.

So, stay tuned for more improvements soon!

P.S: our next sport will be e-sports. What are other wishes?

Hi blueparrot, we manually sent you 120mBTC while we look into this matter.

thank you  Wink

However it is starting to get even more weird!

I see your 120 mBTC credit on the blockchain and it has already 3 confirmations.
However I still don´t see the mBTC in my account.

now the deposits have been credited to my account!
(my original deposit and the 120 mBTC you have deposited).

Will you deduct the 120 mBTC from my account or should I withdraw them and send them to one of your wallets?
(if you opt for the 2nd, please tell me the address)

any plans on offering more coding examples for the API?
(e.g. a simple application that inserts a new open prediction for 1 BTC in front of the current best offer in the order book at 0.01 better odds for every market from category "xyz")

Any additional API user should be good for your service because it would increase liqudity... besides, you´ve posted that
you may charge for API fees in the future so this may become a viable income in itself  Wink

I´ve also discovered your API browser but only get the error message:
"Unable to read api 'outcome_names' from path https://www.fairlay.com/api/browser/api-docs/api/v1/outcome_names (server returned undefined)"

So, based on your suggestion we have added more examples to the api and you can now request an API token in the user interface. Have a look: https://www.fairlay.com/api/
If there are any questions we are happy to help! We would be excited if the spread between buy and sell would become even smaller than it is right now!

great, I didn´t think you would offer more API examples that fast!  Wink

However I have an unrelated problem. I made a deposit today and the mBTC aren´t showing up in my account in spite of already having 3 confirmations.

edit: 18 confirmations now, still nothing in my fairlay account

Anyone up for a none sport prediction?

Will the blocksize limit be increased until March 2016? Currently the market thinks it is only 10% - what is your opinion?

Your site is unusable.

You do not refresh your markets liability on your browsing pages.

On the browsing page you show that i can bet on a lot of markets, but when ...
I opened 156.5,  there was no price offered, then i refreshed the browsing page and it showed   -  -  (now correctly showed you cant bet on it)
I opened 157 , there was no price offered, then i refreshed the browsing page and it showed   -  -  (now correctly showed you cant bet on it)

before opened 157

after opened 157 and refreshed the browsing page

This is your site bug, not on my side, do not suggest me anything (cookie, etc bullshits) , only fix it. thx

Thanks for your suggestion. Indeed we are currently chancing stuff (this is why you got the error message) We will fix it and post the example you mentioned soon! Looking forward to more market makers and better odds.

Hi tonyq,

our hoster had minor connectivity problems at that time. It was resolved quickly.
