I have a small question. Is there a way to include the date/time on the order history page or even within the order itself?

It is on the todo list.  Since it is a pretty simple change I will start testing it on the development server.

Some people opt for check plus overnight mail as an alternative to bank wire.  Generally bank wire is going to be faster/easier but some banks charge for incoming bank wires (or don't allow bank wires at all).  Starting in on April first we will be charging $1 for checks.  As our volume continues to grow the security measures needed to ensure timely and secure payment of check drafts has been increasing.  Official announcement will be made on Monday.

Another check arrived Smiley Now 5-for-5 on flawless sales.
Keep up the good work.

I've transferred many times right to my bank via ACH and has always worked out great. Sorry if I'm prying, I'm just curious, why are you requesting a check when you can DD via ACH? Privacy?
I don't really know. It seemed like the easiest option at the time of my first sale, and now it's just inertia: my details are already in the system. I don't plan on fixing what's not broken, either Tongue

Ok, thanks for answering. I really was just curious. Like I said, I've used the ACH method many times and has always been deposited directly into my bank account in about 3 days.

Thanks for the replies.

TC, I emailed you about this but sometimes you respond quicker here.
Order# 18365. Can you "push" that through or refund me back to the address I put in refund spot? Everytime I go to send you an exact amount .03 or some very small amount gets tacked on AFTER I know what it will be then I don't have enough to send. I was .03 short and couldn't get the .03 to send. Thanks!

Fixed. The site allows setting orders by either amount to sell or amount to receive.  I believe there is a bug in the logic and in some cases is incorrectly trying to keep the receive amount constant instead of the sell amount when there is a price change.  To avoid an attack by stale dating the selling price is pulled fresh at the time the order is placed this can result in a small change to either the amount received or amount sold.   I will take a look at a solution this weekend.

If you ever create a sales order and it is incorrect you can always just create a new one.

Ok, good to know. Thanks for fixing it!

Now im here mentioning the fact that you have a track record of poor communication and you have acknowledged the fact that a potential customer isnt a "real customer" to you therefore its ok to treat them poorly.

Well a single instance is hardly a track record.  We have done more direct purchases of Bitcoins than anyone else.  Although we are hardly perfect, feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.  I am sorry you had a bad experience, however you have made your point now I would ask you stop cluttering up the thread.

I have a quick question, when I'm selling my bitcoins via the site you are buying them at a lower price then what is the current rate, I just was curious, this is how you guys make money and stay in business right? I'm just curious as to how that buy number is calculated. I would assume it is a certain percentage of the current rate, right? Seriously, I'm just curious about it, that's all.

Somewhere TC mentions that it's based on multiple factors including market price, volatility, etc. They've traded at a loss in the past, but usually manage to make profitable trades, and they try not to be long too much BTC.

That is correct.  Since January 1 we have been trying a fixed pricing model of 2.99% below spot.  To avoid manipulation the model takes the lowest trade in the prior 60 seconds.  As always the price we are willing to buy is always put in black and white for the customer to accept or reject BEFORE they send us any coins.

Tangible I PM'd you but should have posted here for everyone;

Are PayPal payouts scheduled at a certain time of day, or on as-needed basis?

We pay PayPal and Dwolla in batches.  There is no set schedule but generally we pay about 6 to 10 times per day between 8AM and 2AM (unlike the blockchain and Satoshi's ghost we occasionally do sleep Smiley ).  "Usually" that works out to within 2 to 3 hours although due to scheduling conflicts it can occasionally be longer than that.
