Portugal with all the advantages of its players will not have too much trouble facing Morocco. I'm sure Portugal is very capable of beating Morocco even though Morocco played defensively such as holding Spain to a draw for 120 minutes.

Portugal's game pattern is much better than Spain's and I don't think Morocco's strategy will be able to survive without conceding. Spain lacked punch in the Moroccan area, but Portugal was clearly different. Portugal have a lot of great strikers, so of course they will benefit.

I would not be to sure if Portugal will really not having much trouble to beat Morocco in the quarterfinal. I mean we basically were all thinking the same about Spain before they have faced Morocco a few days ago and we all know how it went down in the end. Even though Spain was the dominating team in that match, Morocco also showed a great performance and they even had a huge chance to win the game in the overtime.
Portugal showed a great performance yesterday but we also have to take into account, that they were extremely efficient yesterday. If you are up with 2 goals after 30 minutes then everything becomes so much easier. I think it will be a very tight game up until the end unless we see early goals of Portugal again.
Now we have to wait and see the actual game between Portugal and Morocco as nothing is definite and sure that who'll win either chances of Portugal to win Is fairly higher than Morocco but yesterday chances of Spain were also higher than Morocco so we cannot say anything for now.
Portugal efficiency ,attack ,strikers and defense is definitely more than their opponent. So we'll see an interesting game and may be unexpected too.

I'm eager to see how Portugal will respond to Morocco's play style. Switzerland players were more attacking than Morocco and it's hard to attack a goal when there are 5-6 players defending their goal and not thinking about going forward to attack. I might bet on a game with under 3 goals, but I will decide later.

well, Portugal can still play well even though in the first round Cristiano Ronaldo was not played. overall every player has a very good skill. but the individual skills of the Brazilian players may be superior. and in teamwork Portugal and Brazil are really solid.
Portugal manager has learn from his previous mistakes that when Portugal defeated by Tunisia on group stage actually Portugal has gets several good chances to scoring goals but unfortunately Ronaldo at that time who played as striker cannot utilized that even he was displayed poor performance and wasted those chances and after that Fernando Santos realized one of Portugal weaknesses is their forward lines has failed to performing well and yesterday he has decide to put Ronaldo on the bench and the results is Portugal without Ronaldo can playing more effective although Switzerland has slightly dominated the match but Portugal is good in the term of Shots on goals

The reflection of Spain's weakness in the tiebreaker that was seen in yesterday's match. Their misfortune of Spain did not end in the World Cup this time. In the 2002 World Cup, they were eliminated in the quarter-finals after losing to South Korea in a tiebreaker. In the 2018 World Cup, Spain failed to reach the quarter-finals after losing to the host Russia in a tiebreaker. In Euro 2020, they lost to Italy in a tiebreaker in the semi-finals. The same tiebreaker-disappointment in the last sixteen of the World Cup against Morocco tomorrow. But sadly they prepared them self in this World Cup only to win the tiebreaker. It is known that every footballer in Spain scored about 1000 tiebreaker goals as practice but luck did not help them. Morocco won the tiebreaker 3-0.
But all three consecutive penalties were missed, and no goal was scored. After practicing 1000 penalties before the World Cup, the Spain team ended up scoring zero in the shootout against Morocco. Obviously, 1000 penalties practice didn't make a difference. The selection of Coach Enrique also failed. If this side had been more youthful, even Thiago might have been useful. There is a difference between 2010 and 2022. A winning strategy, technique, and skill set are needed. You cannot score goals with ball possession unless you adopt speed and hungriness.

If we look at the results of yesterday's matches, I want to say that it was a surprise for me. Especially the Morocco vs Spain match was a surprise for everyone. Nobody expected Morocco to eliminate Spain. This completely changed the course of the world cup in a way. It is the fault of the Spanish team that they played such a pressing football and didn't score. In penalties, it was the last point that they didn't score any penalties.
Portugal got a result that I never expected. I honestly didn't expect so many goals from this match. Gonçalo ramos showed his difference and led Portugal to victory.

Spanish team played like they are always playing - endless passes and no one to actually score a goal. I'm glad that it costed them because now they will have to change something. Yes, it's nice to see them passing the ball in the center of the field, but you can't win if you don't shoot at the goal. Too bad for some of the older players for which this was probably their last World Cup.
Yes, it was the last world cup for some players.  For example, Sergio Busquets will probably never see the world cup again.  I think he's sad because he missed the penalty.  A bad world cup remained in his memory.  However, they had a great world cup start with the Costa Rica match.  The Moroccan national team must be congratulated.  They really did their job perfectly.  They passed Spain, which is seen as one of the favorite teams.

Portugal's game was different than Spain's game because they were facing different opponents. Morocco only concentrated on not conceding a goal and attacked rarely. Switzerland on the other hand attacked more often and that opened them to Portugal's counter attacks. Morocco is a good team but them remind me a little to Greece when they won the Euro championship in 2004. They were playing anti-football with no attack.

Yes, for some players it will be the last World Cup. In fact, Spain has a young squad, but I think the coach has been incompetent. It doesn't make sense to me that he put in a young and talented player like Ansu fati in extra time. It's just strange that when Olmo and Torres are playing so badly, the other young players on the bench are not given a chance. They have a lot of things to change for sure. I hope they were very disappointed to lose to a team like Morocco.

I'm sure that the coach will be the first thing Spain will change. Maybe they already change him. I didn't read the news today. The problem with Spain is their style of play. You can't play like that against Morocco. Endless passes and no shooting on the goal leads nowhere. And what the hell was with their penalties? None of the Spain players scored from the penalty.
I absolutely agree, first of all the manager must be changed and someone with a mentality that will change the style of play and the quality of Spain's game. This style of play is not good for them. Not to mention the penalties. I can't understand why they took them when there are players who can take them better. If Spain and Japan took penalties until the morning, I don't think they would win. I wouldn't expect such bad penalty kicks from a team like Spain.

When you lose a penalty shootout by one goal, then you can call it lack of luck. But when you lose because three players didn't manage to score from the penalty box, that's not bad luck. That's something to be worried about. Morocco players were probably less nervous because losing in this stage would not be disastrous for them. But for the Spain players it should be normal to play under pressure. I really don't understand what happened to them yesterday during the shootout.

If Morocco also goes on the defensive as in the match with Spain, then I think it will also be difficult for Portugal to realize its offensive capabilities, but at the same time there is a possibility of conceding a goal in a counterattack, although I did not see much enthusiasm from Morocco, a very viscous team.
Portugal has clearly studied Morocco's game when they beat Spain and they will continue to look for strategies to anticipate every style of Moroccan play before their match begins.
Morocco's defense against Spain was good. This is proven by the statistics obtained during the game.

According to my observations when they beat Spain, Morocco won a total of 16 tackles or around 62%. Successful clearances totaled 41. Apart from that, Morocco also won in duel statistics which is about 55%.

Morocco's statistics against Spain indicate that their defense is filled with players who have the posture ready to block if Portugal plays a back pass or long pass.

Regarding Morocco, it's actually not a strange result for me personally, because I also previously said it was very possible for this match to end goalless and it would be decided by penalties. But what surprised me was only the result in the penalty shootout itself, because how come three shots from Spain didn't score at all.
At least that was the only surprise for me, because about a 0-0 draw in 90 minutes for me it's not something strange because Morocco themselves did have that ability in the group stage too.

Concerning Portugal with a big win is a surprise and what's more, Portugal can win big without involving Ronaldo in the starting line-up. I think the Ronaldo era is really over, because so far this World Cup is also the reality that Roaldo only has one goal. What's more, Ronaldo's goal were also only created from penalty kicks when playing against Ghana, in the early match of the group stage.
Also, Ronaldo has had no assists so far and results like this, so Portugal don't really need Ronaldo to play 90 minutes anymore and it looks like this situation is the same as what happened at Manchester United as well.

When Spanish players failed to scored penalties that was a disastrous moment for all the world and Spain,  like what was their state of mind and why they were soo stressed
Spain played exceptionally in starting games of the world cup and yesterday they were performing total different.
Morocco on other hand were more  confident and how easily they scored penalties was amazing.

Portugal and Brazil in the round of 16 really showed their superiority.
Brazil managed to beat South Korea with a score of 4-1. and Portugal also managed to beat Switzerland with a score of 6-1.
Brazil will next play Croatia. and I think Brazil will win in that match.
and Portugal in the next match will be against Morocco. and of course Portugal too I think will be able to win the match. I imagine Brazil and Portugal will meet in the final.

No one ever thought that without Ronaldo Portugal can perform so much better. They have dominated in almost all the games they have played in this world cup. No doubt they are the favourite and so is Brazil. England is also a better team and the next game that they will play is against France. Either of them will stay in this World Cup and since Portugal has not won a world cup the chance of them getting the cup is high.

for England vs France match. I would probably favor France. although actually I'm not sure which one will be superior in this match.

Portugal showed yesterday that they can easily play without Ronaldo. Maybe his fans don't want to hear that, but it was obvious. They have won against Switzerland just like Brazil won over South Korea. OK, maybe Switzerland showed a little more than Korea.

I'm looking forward to the game between England and France. I think France will win and send England home once again without a trophy.

Portugal showed some mind-blowing performance 6-1 what a win and without Ronaldo.  This shows Portugal is strong without Cristiano Ronaldo and can win any match easily.
Brilliant performance by . Ramos he did a hatrick .
With this type of game we are looking forward to see Portugal in finals.
