Many people think Brazil is a team with great potential to win the world cup but I support Portugal. Portugal has midfielders (such as Jota and Silva) and a front line (Cristiano) who will certainly try hard to bring their country to become champions for the first time. I have doubts about France and brazil.
I still favor Brazil too. but I admit how Portugal played well in qualifying. Portugal has a solid midfield. that's what Brazil and Ilatia used to show in the past.
but what we have to watch out for right now are dark horse teams. they eliminated the strong nations and entered the finals. Of course, this is a big threat to the favorite country. can't wait to see the surprise of this grand event.

For the World Cup finale, there are quite a few teams as favourites now. The first teams that come to my mind are Brazil, Argentina, Germany and France for example. One of these four teams can really make it to the championship at the end. I see people talking about Argentina recently but I think Brazil are a slightly better team than them now. I liked Brazil more than Argentina in the qualification round in South America. Brazil have ended up as the leader. Both teams haven't been the champions in the World Cup for long years so it would be nice to see one of them doing it this time.
I totally agree with you. The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is one of its most likely to be Brazil and. Considering the current form of Brazil and Argentina, it can be seen that Brazil and Argentina have occupied the top spot. And their current team combination is much better.

That is a nice prediction but you can not predict the final game from Qatar because anything can happen inbetween (within). A team can be weak and struggled to scale through in the Qatar level but ironically can be changed at the main tournament and play the final. Although we are all here for the prediction of the main tournament. So there is liberty to say one's mind. Therefore as for me I predict Italy, because they played well in all the world cups I have watched so far. And they were once FIFA world champion, and if I would select 2nd team for finale, I would choose Brazil. These are the ones I will preferably win the cup. But as it was said in the OP, my best team was Nigeria. Since Nigeria is not around again in tournament. I go with Italy.

I have to correct you for a few mistakes in your text. Italy didn't qualify for this World Cup so they can't be world champions. Another correction is that Italy has been world champion 4 times, in 1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006.
At the 1982 World Cup, exactly what you mentioned in your post happened, Italy played very badly in the group stage and barely passed the group with 3 draws and then surprisingly beat the big favorite Brazil and eventually became world champions.
World Championships are very difficult and exhausting competitions and in the end the best team doesn't always win, but the most prepared, physically and mentally.
In any case, a very uncertain and exciting competition awaits us with a lot of candidates for the title of champion  Cheesy

Well Argentina has Messi that really wants to win the world cup and have all trophies possible in the world. But i think their team isnt good enough to reach even the semis ,while Germany has an amazing mentality and they are always one of the favorites to win the title
Agree with what you say because even if there are mega stars of the caliber of Messi, Argentina is still not able to win the world cup in my opinion.
As for Germany at this time it is quite strong but the majority of them are young players.
This makes them a little lost in terms of experience although indeed in terms of players they are very good and decent but sometimes experience is also very important in this case so indeed this will also make doubts.
I still feel for now Brazil is one of the strong candidates for the world cup.

Without being biase on my choices, I think most of the Affican nations a likely not going to make it past group stage. The few that would would likely get eliminated in the round of 16. Ghana most especially seems to have been placed in a group of death with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea, no bad feelings but its game over. From the way I see it, they are the least in that group although, not to mind  the best doesn't always wins but most times, they do and this is world cup.

Anyway  if I'm to pick those I project to lift the trophy and other consolation prizes, I'll go with;
1. Germany
2. Belgium
3. Brazil
I'm sure they've got a few flaws but, that's my pick.

agree.
The chances of African countries qualifying for the World Cup will be difficult to get to the last 16.  we can see the match schedule of opponents from African countries is quite heavy.  senegal vs netherlands, portugal vs ghana.  it is very clear that the opponents for the two African countries are very heavy when viewed from the statistics.  but I prefer to favor two countries.
germany
argentina

Two favorite countries that will become champion candidates.
I think that neither Germany nor Argentina will play in the final. Germany did poorly at the last World Cup and European Championships. Argentina last played against Germany in the final in 2014. I think this year's final will be different. I remember when Argentina won the Netherlands in the semi finals in 2014, I think that if it happens again this year, the Netherlands will qualify for the finals.

Ok, I agree that Germany and Argentina may not be the main favorites of this World Cup but they are not without a chance to play in the final.
In competitions like this with a lot of games in a short time and when the players are under a lot of pressure, experience plays a very important role, and Argentina and Germany have a lot of players who play in the biggest clubs in the world.
I’m not sure the Netherlands is the favorite for the final and yet I give Brazil, Spain and France a much better chance.

I think those are too strong words, Argentina and Germany are extremely good countries, and they can easily end up in the final.

Both countries have won the tournament more than once, so that alone should be a thing to consider.

On the other hand, you never know, former champion Italy didn't even qualify!

Qatar is difficult to compare with other countries. It may be known to the general public for its wealth, but there is also a lot of poverty. Those images are of course not quickly shown to the outside world. I think that the football players in December will also get little or nothing from it. It was a very unfortunate choice to hold the World Cup there. However, there are advantages, a large crowd in that country is looking forward to the World Cup. And the home crowd will also be cheering Qatar on at their matches.
FIFA as the highest sports body in world football is showing direction as the host of the 4th annual event where Qatar has prepared a stadium to make the world cup successful this time, but a series of controversies have begun to blow where the Qatari government itself prohibits various prostitution.alcohol parties and free sex. where it is very close to western culture but the Qatari government implements that there should be no violation of law in the country but until now the statement issued by the FIFA cataract government does not dare to dispute this because they have been bought with money, and until now we also have not heard protests from FIFA officials regarding the application of the law

Qatar is going to be a good host for the world cup. There are a lot of rules but those are for the best. And I am someone who likes rules. Because with rules, we stand for something. Without rules we become very tolerant. So, I think it is not going to be a problem for the world cup.
Well lets see how Qatar manages the big crowd - I am sure they are hiring people too for the jobs.
I wish if I had got to know about earlier I would be working and updating all of you on the forum. LOL Very sad on my part.

@Rruchi man  I think that this would be definitely unfair for these players. Because it is up to their choice to play for their origin country or the other one. For example we can see many players in France squad whose origin are completely different normally. But they have chosen to play for France and they must be contented with this situation. I assume that nobody forced them to choose that national team. This is the same for non-African players too. As a result I think that FIFA shouldn't force players to play for their origin country. This can lead to many problems.

It is a tricky situation. Because personally I feel it is not fair that African nations are not losing their best players to the rich European teams. Imagine how well Guinea could have performed at the world cup, if Paul Pogba was playing for them. Imagine Romelu Lukaku playing for Congo and Kylian Mbappé playing for Cameroon. Algeria would have done wonders if Karim Benzema was playing for them. So I agree to a certain extent what Maurinho said. But forcing the players to represent these countries can be unfair, if they really want to play for the European sides.
After all, naturalized players were players who had the right to choose as long as they had bloodlines from their parents. Even so, the state cannot force it either because again, every player has the right to choose. As long as they don't break the rules and there's no coercion, then I think it's still fine and I think it's very rare for a player to be forced to play in a certain country.

It wasn't necessary starting a new thread for this discussion, so i had to bring it here since it still partains to the world cup.  I came across a tweet

And i have been giving it a lot of thought whether Mourinho could be right or wrong?

What do you think?

Will it be racial to subject African players to play only for their country of origin as many think? or can this actually give Africa a chance to win the world cup?

If this has been the case, Players like Mbappe will not be playing for france but Cameroon where he has origins, Lukaku will not be playing for Belgium but Congo, Bukayo Saka, Alaba & Dele Alli for Nigeria and not England, William Carvalho for Angola and not Portugal, Memphis Depay for Ghana and not Netherlands etc Imagine the quality they would have added to these African teams.

First world cup is going to be played in this region, so conditions are going to have very important role for all teams which team is going to adopt this can go through easily for this I am going to support teams from South America because these are having same conditions instead of European countries but still nothing is sure about this even because any result can happen and any team can knockout as we have good experience in last world cup which was held in Russia.

For me Brazil, Argentina, Germany and France are teams to watch as they are usually best and have quality players but Belgium and England are also not bad with any upset can occurred and these can take place for last round matches.
