Well , for me , this will be the first World Cup that will be held during the Winter and I must say that it will be an unique experience for almost everyone as Fifa is doing this for first time. [...]

There is no winter in Qatar.
There, every day is hot and the night is freezing, as in any desert.
Players will have to accept it, just as they had to accept the high temperatures and high relative humidity when they played in Manaus, Brazil.
It was necessary to take breaks during the games, but in the end everyone survived  Cheesy

This month would have been the World Cup start in a normal year. There has been a change, and I was wondering why. Qatar is experiencing very high temperatures this time of year. In the summer, temperatures there can reach as high as 55 degrees Celsius, making it impossible to do high-performance sports. Due to the fact that it is in Qatar this edition, it would still have been played in the winter months. It is winter for them in November.

It seems to me that such weather conditions will suit African football players much better than European players.
Of course, these are professionals and they will somehow adapt, but it will not be easy for them to play in such difficult conditions.
African teams will have a small advantage because of that, but they will also have to improve their tactical skills and organization of the game to surpass European teams.
This will be a very unusual World Cup because it starts very late, in November and ends almost before Christmas  Grin

True that winter in qatar is still not as people would expect but i don't think the temperature will be that high plus most of the players are professionals i don't think this will bother them much i think the high quality of the stadiums and infrastructure in QATAR will make them forget about it, i still think this will be the best world cup in terms of organization.

Well, there is no denying that Messi and Dyubala together with DiMaria noodle are not going to disappoint, in fact I hope that there will be a match between Argentina and Portugal, because both Messi and CR7 will seek to obtain the world title, the closest to win was Messi and he was disappointed, if something similar happens, I think Messi will not touch another ball in any team, he could not stand it, he also has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, I think he will have to get a lot of help from his teammates, this World Cup will be very exciting, I hope that all war environment ends and can occur normally.

Both Lionel Messi and Ángel Di María are 34 years old. Cristiano Ronaldo is 37 years old. I don't expect these players to play with the same amount of ferocity they had a few years back. Paulo Dybala is young, but he hasn't caught up with the expectations. I am still hopeful about Argentina making it to the final, but not so sure about Portugal. The latter is essentially a one man army, and in case we have a Argentina vs Portugal match, in all probability it will be during the pre-quarter final or the quarter-final stage.

Now ...favorites ? Well, you might find this funny or not true but I don't like Messi at all but I support Argentina national whenever they play with Messi becoming my favorite haha. Why ? Well I think it all started when I was young and won on Fifa 2004 a local tournament with players a lot more experienced and older than me and got around 20 euro and gave it to my mom ...it was all due to Argentina massive team even since then so yea , my favorite will always be Argentina when they play World Cup.

It true that this World Cup will kick off in November in Qatar. AFAIK, the winter in Gulf countries are never extreme. You cant say winter in Qatar are as extreme as they are in Europe or rest of the world. We can say it will be a moderate temperature in November. I too siding with Argentina ever since I started following football, prime reason is there versatile playing strategy aka short passes.

A situation where the center referee takes on a goal decision while on the other side the robot is raising flag for offside. At the end it will now boils down to VAR taking the final decision. To me that will be a bottle neck procedures and it will only make football look boring. Am sure that not what you want as a lover of football!

It is better to get it right with delayed game for 2 minutes to check what happened like they do with the VAR than take a decision in a haste that will affect the game. Am thinking that the linesmen robots will be a good idea. We have seen how the VAR has improved the game rather than slowed it down. Do you know what dint that notorious hand of god goal by Diego Maradona caused football fans in unfair officiating. If it is now, Maradona would not have deceived the referees. Infact he would have been punished for it.

Actually, I am not a fan of what is happening. I don't want robots everywhere. I really like the old way a lot more. Actually, the most exciting part about a human taking decision is that a human can do errors. and if we introduce Robots it takes away the natural human error that could have been there and in my opinion that makes everything a lot more tasteless. The best thing about humans is that they are not perfect. And I think in search of perfection we are changing everything a lot which I don't think should be done. I obviously don't think the handball goal from Maradona was wrong but there is a reason why it was the best goal of the century.

It's impossible to say who will win the 2022 World Cup Qatar, but history shows that the CONMEBOL confederation has won on the Asian continent. The weather aspect will play a huge role, and the scorching temperatures in Qatar, in particular, will be difficult for European players to adjust to. When Brazil beat Germany 2-0 in the 2002 World Cup Final at the Yokohama International Stadium in Japan, it showed that the CONMEBOL Confederation's team was more tolerant of the Asian continent's weather, despite the fact that the UEFA Confederation's team had won the World Cup 12 times while CONMEBOL had only won 9 times.

The tournament will take place during winter season (November-December) and by then the weather will be more tolerable. December daytime temperatures hardly goes over 25 degree Celsius, and during nighttime, the temperature can drop to around 5 degrees. So there will be no added advantage for the AFC or CAF teams. Anyway, almost all the teams that are taking part in the tournament this time are having the experience of playing in GCC nations. So I don't believe that any particular confederation will be having an upper hand.

I'm relieved to learn that every member of the National Team has an equal chance of winning the Qatar 2022 World Cup, as the weather will have no bearing on the team's performance in November and December 2022. The FIFA rankings should not be used as a yardstick for a national team, in my opinion, because each match at the Qatar 2022 World Cup will be difficult to win.

After the results of the Nations League I actually expected that this would have consequences for the odds at the bookmakers, but nothing of that is true. Everything still seems a bit the same. England are also still among the favorites to win the World Cup, despite a 0-4 thrashing against Hungary at home. Bookmakers see it more as a kind of snapshot. It is tough for the players, playing a strong tournament in the middle of the competition. EPL players will experience this in particular.
I guess bookmakers count in the possibility that England and France are still in their experimentation and preparation period and did not offer their best team for the Nations League. Also betting on the popular, "stronger" teams (like France and England) in more popular in general, so why should they raise their odds for them? If you think that the Nations LEague does have a serious impact for the World Cup I would look at the odds of the other favorite teams like Brazil or Argentina, if their odds weren't lowered could might find a good bet.

You are right that the weather factor can have an effect on the qualifying team. But in general Qatar is a hot region and will make it difficult for teams from Europe and will give a little advantage to teams from South America and Africa, but the weather forecast for the 2022 FIFA world cup in Qatar will take place in winter.

New Zealand again had to bury their dream of appearing in Qatar's world cup this year after they lost to Costa Rica in the play-off by a narrow 1-0 scoreline where Costa Rica's goal came in the early minutes of the match through former Arsenal player Joel Campbell's goal in the minute. -3 where the goal lasted until time was over, as well as making New Zealand have to miss this year's world cup again since the last time they qualified for the South Africa world cup in 2010 where they only reached the group stage and did not qualify for the round of 16 great, for Costa Rica themselves they returned to appear in the 4th annual event after being absent from the 2018 Russian world cup
This was a narrow game, mainly because Costa Rica focused too much on defending after their early 1-0 lead. Such KO-qualification games are always difficult, and we have seen big teams (like Italy) struggling against much weaker teams. I am happy with Costa Rica going to the World Cup, as New Zealand is a fairly weak team and I don't see them able to compete against Spain or Germany. Costa Rica also won't have it easy, but they could be good for a surprise for sure.

Costa Rica ended up winning against New Zealand, with an early but not beautiful goal. So Oceania will be represented by Australia only.

After watching the New Zealand vs Costa Rica match, they both look a bit weak to be honest. Not sure how much will Costa Rica advance in the world cup.

Disappointed with the outcome from the New Zealand vs Costa Rica match. But can't expect much from New Zealand, given the fact that they are outside the top-100 rank as per the latest FIFA ranking. The last time New Zealand managed to qualify for the world cup was in 2010, and trust me back then their performance was not very bad. This time they had a good opportunity to qualify. As you have rightly pointed out, Costa Rica is not a very strong opponent. Anyway, it is almost assured that they will play in the 2026 World Cup (since there is a dedicated slot for OFC).

I'm sure there won't be any problems with the referees using their personal views. especially now that there is a sophisticated system that cannot be fooled. if someone insists on doing that, I'm sure FIFA will take firm action. fair play will be number one in this grand event.

this year my favorite is Brazil. they were impressive in the qualifiers. the squad that was brought was also the best. Brazil came to Qatar with great ambitions to restore its former glory.

Brazil and Argentina no longer enjoy a monopoly in football, like they used to do two decades ago. Other countries (mostly Europeans) have caught up, thanks to players of migrant origin (especially in the case of countries such as Germany, England, France and Belgium). Those European teams that are mainly comprised of native players are still a level behind the CONMEBOL teams. I am talking about teams such as Italy, Serbia and Poland. IMO, this time the champions may come from UEFA, and for CONMEBOL the prospects doesn't look very bright.

Europe has always been in the top of the world cup. If you look at historical results, UEFA is at the top, with CONMEBOL as a close second, mostly thanks to Brazil and Argentina(and Uruguay). The rest of the confederations are way behind these two.

To date, the final of the World Cup has only been contested by teams from the UEFA (Europe) and CONMEBOL (South America) confederations. European nations have won twelve titles, while South American have won nine.
Only two teams from outside these two continents have ever reached the semi-finals of the competition: United States (North, Central America and Caribbean) in 1930 and South Korea (Asia) in 2002. The best result of an African team is reaching the quarter-finals: Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002, and Ghana in 2010. Only one Oceanian qualifier, Australia in 2006, has advanced to the second round.

Brazil has always been the favorite to win the world cup trophy, this cannot be separated from how the Selecao team has such extraordinary player material that they are always favorites in each of the four annual events even though their best achievement since the last 20 years is reaching the semifinals when they hosted in 2014, despite having an even squad in every line, Brazil must not underestimate its potential opponents.especially since the world cup is a proving match for every country to beat any potential opponent.including the Brazilian national team, reflecting on the previous edition of the world cup in where Brazil was beaten by the Belgian dark horses even though they were favorites to win their 6th title, but this is football anything can happen

FIFA World cup 2022 will be interesting. It will be like a thug of war. Just that my favourite club, Nigerian
Super Eagle has been nocked out in the Qatar qualifiers stage. But i am still hoping to support another club (Country) in the tournament. Preferably, African club, but what I am afraid of is the referees. World cup referees are not friendly with the African Teams. That not withstanding, fair play can bring out the best in the world cup. European clubs, Asian clubs and African clubs are my prediction to win the world cup.

On your own prediction, whom do you think will win the tournament and carry the Golden Cup? Remember every country's plan is to win the world cup tournament but not every team will win and the three (3) best will be selected. And that should be:

1st winner
2nd winner and
3rd Winner.

Say your mind.

1st- Brazil
2nd- Belgium
3rd- France

This is my prediction. Brazil of all time favourite team in FIFA World Cup.Belgium is strong enough to any team in world’s Cup and France also.Brazil played very well all season. I hope Brazil will win this world cup.
Brazil is a very good team and we respect that. However, after showing good responsibility on the playing field, one might expect to win the World Cup.But Argentina is also a very good team. With Spain a much better level team.Nothing can be said in advance of this World Cup, but as a supporter of Spain, I will always expect Spain to win.
