Only two more matches to go in the round of 16, and after that we will know about the quarter-final lineup. The last remaining matches are between Colombia and Jamaica, and between Morocco and France. Colombia are the favorites, but Jamaica is known for upset wins. And also, Colombia lost out against Morocco in the group stage. Quite a few exciting matches are coming up in the QF phase. The first one between Spain and Netherlands is going to be very close. Another interesting one is between Japan and Sweden. Japan has performed exceptionally well till now.
England kicked another African nation from FIFA Women's World Cup which is Nigeria after seeing South Africa kicked by Netherlands. This time Nigeria disqualified after 0 - 0 draw and 4 - 2 penalties.
Otherwise, Australia made a good job passing to the Quarter-final after winning with 2 goals to 0 vs Denmark.
Last 2 tickets for France and Colombia most likely and we will see nice Quarter-final matches!
To be completely honest, I really enjoy watching the women's match between Nigeria and England because both teams demonstrate their strength, but Nigeria puts in the most effort. England's women suffered a lot today, and one of their best players was sent off; this is what caused them the most suffering. Nigeria's women tried numerous shots, but they were unsuccessful in scoring goals because the England goal keeper was very shrewd and even the defensive player did not give up. A game is merely luck because, if it weren't for luck, I think Nigeria will defeat England since, from my perspective, Nigeria is playing England.
The only issue I'm aware of with Nigeria is penalty kicks, and I believe that's the only thing that affects them. While Nigeria always has a strong ability to play anywhere, when it comes to penalties, they don't know how to play them, and the coach of the Nigeria women should take note of this because if they don't do so, it will have an impact on their next game. They should take heed because they might find themselves in the penalty shootout again in the match next year or any friendly encounter, but I must admit that I am extremely pleased of the Nigerian women.
