The USA losing really opened up the field. The USA should have won easily since they dominated the match. I see another upset here with Nigeria.

It was a match between the first and third rankings so we can see that both teams played very well, there was no dominance even though the United States had more chances than Sweden, but Sweden's main goalkeeper Musovic played very impressively by saving his goal several times from USA attacks.
Penalty Shootout USA had taken the lead when the shooter from Sweden failed, but the pressure to take the penalty was so strong that it often became an obstacle for the players and they failed to complete their task, and that's what the last kickers from the USA experienced

One of the most interesting matches I witness in this round of 16 where the Sweden women's team won against the United States women's team

In FIFA Women's World Cup Yesterday Netherlands vs South Africa team match Netherlands scored two goals to win the match. I thought South Africa can do well in this match but South Africa team players did not score any goal in this match due to very bad play. But South Africa  If they played well, they could have drawn the match, but South Africa could not. In this match, Netherlands scored the first goal in the first 9 minutes of the game. the match between Sweden vs USA was a moment full of tension, based on match statistics, since the beginning of the match the USA women's team had made 22 shots and 11 shots on goal but they were not lucky because the Swedish women's team's defense was very good and they were very lucky.

while the Netherlands managed to win 2-0 over South Africa.. then in the quarter-finals, Spain vs the Netherlands and Japan vs Sweden ^{(because USA was eliminated, i chose the Spain women's team, which is likely to win the woman's world cup this time)}

One among the African team have lost. Anyhow South Africa played good and in the match stats they aren't that bad. They had played well, but missed chances to turn shots into goals. Netherlands were very careful from the beginning and dominated the match. In the other match USA lost in the penalty shootout. Sweden, Netherlands, Spain and Japan have confirmed the entry into quarter finals. The match between Nigeria and England will be interesting and my expectations were much on Morocco against France for some reason.

As I said yesterday, Netherlands won the game with 2 goals. I said they would score 2 or 3 goals difference.

I think it will be an easy game for England tomorrow. Nigeria is expecting a tough game tomorrow.

Yes penalties have a big luck weighting on them and Sweden had the luck  but the
USA could only secure second spot in the group stages so ended up playing Sweden who
topped their group and are a top tier team anyway. The USA team havent played as well
this tournament as last one.

The penalties were great as are most, its nail biting stuff and a cruel way to get eliminated.

My other team the Netherlands won 2-0 against South Africa, they could be outsiders ATM
to win the tournament, obviously England and Sweden have to be favourites too.

One erroneous mistakes I have seen many gamblers make about their reactions to the women's world cup is how they comfortably compare the women football to that of the men which doesn't just sink or relate at all. The women's teams mustn't play like the men's teams and it's obvious because they aren't men.

There are many women footballers that are always in better form to some male footballers in their country and have also brought titles to their country same title the males couldn't. Checking through the years we can see how the women's football has evolved more interestingly gaining much spectators than ever and using this 2023 WWC the number was beyond expectation and that's a significant plus.

Anyone can miss a penalty kick no matter how a GOAT you are in football, Messi , Ronaldo, Benzima, and so on have missed penalties, and I can remember John Terry missing a penalty in 2008 against Manchester united that was supposed to give his club the UCL victory for the first in their club history in that year but he missed it like a 2year old kid and yet no one talked about wasting of time In organisation. Except you wanna tell me you think women are not supposed to be playing football which I want to believe that's not what you mean.

If we were to pit Nigeria's main men's team against Nigeria's women's main team I am convinced that it would be a very humiliating defeat for the women's team, I would even venture to say that we would see 20 goals for the men's team and 0 goals for the women's team, and why I I say that, and because in this World Cup it is evident that women are still very far from the level of men, the way they play is similar to the street games that children are playing, even after so many years women still can't reach at least at 30% of the men's level, I particularly can't watch these women's games, I tried on the first day, but soon I saw the size of the disaster and gave up

so I prefer to watch the highlights, for at least they make me less tired, you saw the us game against sweden until the 90th minute they were playing very well, the game had such quality that it looked like it was a men's game from some 4th division league, but when it came to penalties the funny episodes started, man it was so funny that I couldn't stop laughing like they took the penalties, the collective way in which they failed was something unbelievable, it even seemed that I was seeing 8-year-olds taking penalties, I got to asking myself what that was, is this the maximum that women can achieve in football? soccer and is it really worth wasting time organizing competitions like these when you can see that the quality is extremely low

honestly, they need to have critics to see if they've improved a lot, women are claiming equal rights and I agree, that's why their coaches should also demand that they don't clown around on the field, we can see women doing very well in the sports of fights like boxing and mma, but in soccer in this world cup I'm seeing a very low performance, the women were supposed to show that they also play well like the men's world cup, but from what I could see from this cup, they still lack a lot and long years to play in the same way as men

That was amazing penalty shootout, especially that last penalty. Without goal line tecnology who knows how it would had ended. From first glance it looked like obvious goal, but as replay show, it was question ofmillimeters. And Rapinoe missing penalty, which turned to be last her penalty in her international career.
In general, USA was slightly better during whole game, but it wasn't enough. I'm glad that their dominance is over and we will have new winner finally.
And not Swedish name - such things shouldn't be surprising these times when wotld become such global. After all, Sweden best ever player Zlatan is from Bosnia

She failed to save a single penalty but she was the player that took Sweden to the extra time and penalties because of her uncommon saves. The USWNT was the better team but the lack of goals in the regular time caused them to lose the opportunity to be in the quarterfinals. The Swedes will have to face the Japanese side in the quarterfinals. While the USWNT will have to go home which is the first time they didn't make it to the quarterfinals in the female world cup since inception in 1991.

What I could say of the USA situation is that they are not lucky this time, they actually played well and defended right too. But as we all know, the penalty is a game of luck, and the Swedish side had the luck this time as fate would have it. I only share the pains of the USA team which is the defending champion, it's so sad that they were knocked out at the very beginning of the knockout stage. And as for your analysis, dream on, Africans might surprise you this time, especially the Nigerian team, they are far better than their men.

Nice to see so many upsets happening in this edition of the women's world cup. No one really expected that Sweden will be able to defeat the United States. Now Sweden fill be facing Japan in the quarter-finals. And we may still get a few more upsets. There is a match between France and Morocco coming up, and Morocco is quite famous for getting upset wins. And in this tournament so far, they already have one to their name (vs Colombia). The match between England and Nigeria is also going to be very interesting.

USA had many chances in the game, but they were constantly saved by the brilliance of the Swedish goalkeeper that made many important saves in the game. She is the hero of the game because without her, Sweden would have lost even from the first half. The United States have never lost in this competition at this stage, it is a first time for them, and they must be disappointed with the outcome of the game despite having extra minutes to rest the game. Well, to tell the truth, it hurt me a lot that Portugal left, I think the way they believed was very premature. It's the first time in a World Cup, but there's no denying that they did a good job, I've seen some matches, I really like the job they did, now the Colombian team has me on the edge, they've really done it very good, I liked how they beat Germany because the Germans showed exquisite football and things were not given this time, but I think the Colombian team is doing wonderfully , I like that a Latin American team is shining in this world.


I'm not surprised about Sweden and the USA, because I've always liked how the girls from Sweden play, Sweden is also a very soccer country and the girls play very well, also the USA have good technique, they didn't lose so badly, a taking a penalty or going out for a penalty is not so embarrassing, also what surprises me here is that Colombia has been advancing a lot, the South Americans have done a great job and that is something that I like a lot, because they have already beaten Jamaica and eliminated to Brazil and that's not just anything, the Cololmbnioanas have eliminated the Germans and it's not just any thing, the German girls have a great team and that makes things in this World Cup go in a direction that nobody expected.

Everyone is surprised by the USA, but what? This is normal, this is soccer, many expected the USA to wipe out Sweden, but it was not like that, I liked this result and it is proof that this World Cup things are on another level.

Well, things are over for the USA, I am surprised by the large amount of news about this, they have only focused on rating, they do not praise the work of other teams, I think that the women's world championship was not just USA, things are now focused in another direction, it seems excellent to me, because here it is shown that the players who are considered very favorites and very monsters also fall, sometimes fame makes that weigh heavily on the athletes and that is why it is very surprising worldwide, all the women who had so much seniority and now are here with a total loss, it's not that the penalties are bad, it's that Sweden did their job well and did not allow or let themselves be discouraged by fame or by the ocentarios or by everything that influences on social networks, they played and that's it, they won in the right way and my congratulations to the Swedish team , and the USA will be for another opportunity.

As I said before, USA performance has been poor in the last 3 matches, only winning once against a weak team like Vietnam and drew against 2 other teams, overall USA was able to dominate the game but could not score until they were knocked out in a penalty shootout, USA  weakness is the striker imo. England and Colombia will go to the next round Australia and France will follow in the quarter finals so we have 8 teams there, unfortunately Spain and Japan will face each other in the semifinals even though I predict both teams deserve to go to the final.

My prediction is that the winner between Spain vs Japan will face Australia in the final while England still has the potential to surprise but I'm not too sure. I'm not going to bet in this tournament, they sucked me out last week I don't want to be trapped again lol.

I really surprised to watch performance from South African team because I was not expecting defence like this with my prediction was this match is going to end with the score of 4 - 0 or 5 - 0 but at the end have good play from South African which lowest ranked team in this event and face teams like the Netherlands which is currently in top ten teams.

In second half we have good play from the South African because after first half performance things were looking for some action packed half but all gone in balanced way for the both teams now Netherlands is going to face Spain into round of 8 which beats Switzerland in one-sided match by the score of 5 - 1.

Like men teams now African women's are also improving their quality and having good fights against top teams, but currently things are not going as they need to be, but future is surely bright for them and they can do much better in coming years.
