Yes, Brazil have really started to perform badly now and are at risk of not making it to the next World Cup. The last game against Argentina was not the worst performance. But the previous games against weaker teams shows that Brazil is having problems with the team.

But the game has another equally important background - it is important for Brazil to show that South America still “belongs” to them despite the achievements of Argentina in recent years.

I know and I am certainly one of those guys who thinks that it is impossible for Brazil or Argentina to not qualify. Now there is no need to talk about Argentina as they are fine with their 15 points, but this situation could be out of control for Brazil very soon. Everyone thinks it is no issue because there are so many more games to go, but out of a sudden Brazil plays against Chile or Bolivia and what was supposed to be an easy game for them with a couple of beautiful goals in now a game that feels like a game in the knockout rounds. They shouldn't take this lightly anymore, it's getting complicated now.

Look at what Bolivia did last world cup, totally unexpected, or look at any time a different nation joins, like how morocco was a big shocker to everyone around the world.

I believe that even though they may have trouble during the qualifying period, I think a team that may have just lucky 2-3 games, they can shock the whole world during world cup and that will definitely benefit everyone. I believe that we need to end up focusing a bit about the situation and could get better with time if we know what we are doing. @QueenVera to say I’m disappointed with how Brazil is performing is an understatement because I’m literally horrified to see their performances stoop so low and for their sake I hope they immediately recover or their fans won’t forgive them for a very long time. Lastly Messi showed class by intervening against the police and the fans and I’m glad the situation got under control but I hope that FIFA will investigate this and prevent this from ever happening again.

Rodrigo took a kick towards the Argentina goalpost but was unsuccessful. Brazil and Argentina attacked the goalpost with a total of 8 kicks, but Argentina received a corner kick and headed the ball into the goal. However, the Argentine team made the finish line much better. In the absence of Neymar, Brazil team performed very badly because the control was not right.

Argentina won today's match but Lionel Messi did not contribute much to make Argentina win today's match. Messi was not seen much against Brazil. Argentina team won today without relying on Messi. But you have to accept that several of Brazil's regular XI players were absent today against Argentina due to injuries. However, despite the absence of some players from the original XI, the XI that Brazil fielded against Argentina should definitely have earned at least one point. Although Brazil is slightly behind Argentina as a team, considering their home ground, Brazil was definitely ahead of Argentina, but Brazil could not take that home advantage. Against Argentina, Brazil committed the highest number of fouls as well as received the highest number of yellow cards, yet Argentina played at their best to secure victory against Brazil.
