So this next world cup will be held in the entirety of North America...
I have got nothing against people from Qatar or Islam, but I believe it is better this way at least people will be able to get some beer, the food their want and won't get arrested for showing support towards anything specific and most importantly, there will likely not be any controversy because the death of workers.

I think during the construction period, there are usually a lot of workers who have accidents and can the USA and Mexico be safe places for construction workers? I think the US, Canada and Mexico will experience similar worker accidents but the media don't exaggerate that, besides that these three countries do not have strict rules and every visitor is free to do anything unlike in Qatar which upholds eastern customs and culture

Because it is alleged they were not able to completely build the place where people were supposed to stay, also they had a deal with an important brand of beer and the government of Qatar cancelled the distribution of Beer in the last second, probably with a negative effect to that brand.
Keeping those things in mind I am almost certain the next world cup will be definitely better organized, more enjoyable and free.

Honestly, I thought this increase from 32 to 48 teams was very good, but making groups with only three participants, and ranking two in order to take two thirds of all teams to a direct elimination duel is insane, in my opinion.
Obviously this is not defined yet, but I would prefer to see 12 groups with four teams each, so that fewer teams qualify for the second phase.
And you, do you agree?

But I'll add something I haven't said yet, I prefer the World cup with 32 teams every 2 years hehehe, instead of 4 years. It's a lot of time to wait until the next one.

I don't think he will play until 39, but it's a possibility since Messi is not a player who gets injured a lot and it's in good shape.
I believe Argentina will have a big problem to make another team without Messi, obviously, but the coach and confederation will probably talk with Messi to make their plans to 2026, where they can plan to build the team with or without Messi.

I agree with you.
Groups of only 3 teams could lead to a lot of manipulation and fixing of results, and the quality of the game and the uncertainty of the competition will decrease.
As for Argentina, it seems to me that Messi has stated that if Argentina becomes world champion, he will play in the next world cup as well.
Whether Messi and Ángel di María play in the next World Cup or not, Argentina is a very good team and will be competitive for the title again in the next World Cup.
Of course, if they play without Messi, it will be much more difficult to repeat the result from Qatar.
Tradition speaks against Argentina because the last team to defend the title of world champion was Brazil back in 1962.

They did not only pay for it, it seems the government for Qatar also tried (and allegedly succeeded) to influence European politicians, in order for them to sweet-talk about that country to other European authorities and the European population in general, there is an ongoing investigation about it, another scandal to close this world cup cycle. Even before the 2022 World Cup is over, the 2026 World Cup is being discussed, which suggests that the 2026 Football World Cup will be organized in a grand manner.
Well.. we need to define what "grand" means. Obviously the North American countries are not going to spend $290 billion similar to the way Qatar did. Also, Canada and United States are some of the top migrant destinations in the world and they don't need to showoff their wealth, and neither do they have hundreds of billions of USD worth funds coming in every year from LNG and crude oil sales. At this point, I am more concerned about the visa requirements. In the US, they have a very strange system where it is relatively easy to enter as an illegal immigrant, while legal migrants wait for many years to get a visa hearing.

Well... it is true that still we have 3.5 years to go for the next edition (next world cup will be held during mid-2026). But the qualifier matches will be starting sometime soon, and especially with confederations such as CAF and AFC, there are multiple layers of qualifying tournaments. Therefore I don't find anything wrong with this thread being created at this point. Also, the tournament format is not finalized yet. We can discuss about the qualifiers and format until the tournament starts. Also, construction hasn't been completed for all the venues.

Well... it is true that still we have 3.5 years to go for the next edition (next world cup will be held during mid-2026). FIFA was earlier thinking about having 48 teams divided in to 16 groups. There will be three teams in each group and the top two will progress to the round of 32. But then, Qatar 2022 worked well with 4-team groups. Most of the matches were fiercely competitive. So they may go with 12 groups of 4 teams each. The top 2 teams from each group will progress to the next stage, and in addition, 8 among the 3rd placed teams will also qualify to the round of 32. In my opinion, I find the modified format (12 groups) much better than what they had earlier.
I also think that this format os 12 groups of 4 is the best, more simple and works well.
Another formats of 16 groups, or even 2 groups is too confusing in my opinion.
However, the distances in the USA, Canada and Mexico are quite big and the teams will have to travel a lot.
There will be 10 matches in Canada and 10 in Mexico, I believe the logistics will be optimized.
The United States is a country of continental dimensions, but the infrastructure is very good, and the games can be divided up by region, making it closer for the countries to travel.
Remembering also that there will be 48 countries in total, so a large country can be advantageous.
I don't believe that Fifa will put, for example, first round matches in cities far away from each other in the United States.
