The goal of corruption is to gain desired result or benefit with the help of funds or other benefits. Corruption is what puts one persons wish over others. If you want to fight corruption, doesnt this mean that you have something that does not suit you (but maybe suits for others), and you want to put your interests above others? Can it understood as fighting corruption with corruption? I think corruption is impossible to beat, because when searching for alternative solution, people plant another seed of corruption.

I understand you try to say without being mindedly corrupted you can't figure what corruption is about and you still can't fight it unless you also have to imply with your own corrupted strategies before you can conquer corruption. That's is literally to say that everyone is corrupted but @bakasabo if a stylish corruption doesn't fit the masses under a government and then there's a certain projection of corruptions that brings suitability to the wellness of these masses where they could bravo and kudos to the same corrupted leaders I think no one would complain about it unless those who were brought down of corruptions for hindering the comforts of the masses.
So I'm on the instincts that if correcting a corruptible activities in the government deserves a corruptible style ways then so be it. All the masses wanted was freedom and a happy and comfortable government.
It's also know that you can't be agitating for peace and goes unarmed to disarm the armed persons. You would also have to be armed equipped with all readiness to accept whatever which ways it requires to achieve your aim.
That's my own thoughts.

How easy for a new president who is been elected to fight corruption in a nation where all the systems of government is been corrupted,  like in the force,  and judiciary,  even the politicians.

Having  the mind to stop corruption is not easy in a nation that corruption  is seen as nothing, making an attempt to do so some politicians will do everything to frustrate the agenda. Do you think a genuine president can easily end corruption of this level ?
In my country the last president that consistently fighting corruption Ending up losing its office because of what he is fighting back fired on him as the big players fooled people and the Law of Him being the corrupt and I believe this will happen when you are working with a total corrupt government.
like in other countries that their leader faces even harder and some being killed because of what they are fighting to change their country in to good,
remember that in our time now Money makes the world go round.

People should demand from the government and shake things up in the police, judiciary and politics like pushing for transparency and honesty. But let's be real, it's not just about rules because you need to change the mindset. Expect resistance from the old guard so you'll need public backing and friends who share the anti-corruption vibe. It's a tough idea really but with persistence and support, a genuine president can make a dent in that corruption mess
The only fight corruption is to change our mindset and have a positive mindset and a good approach that will benefit our collective interest. Most agency that is vested with the power to fight corruption are already corrupt from the foundation and most of them were constituted by corrupt leaders using their corrupt political godson to super head the agency for the purpose of covering their sin while witch-hunting their political opponent and those that will oppose them.

We cannot solve our problem by using the same tools we use in creating them. Corruption is a killer disease that can destroy any nation if a drastic measure is not put in place, so I don't think if there is any government institution that is competent enough to fight corruption because most institution was instituted by corrupt leaders for the purpose of fighting their political opponent.

If the entire system of a country is corrupt then it is not a trivial or easy matter to end corruption there. To win the fight against corruption the first thing that is very necessary is public awareness and participatory behavior of civil society. And it is this public awareness that can ensure good governance and eliminate corruption. It is also possible for the leader of a country to ensure the rule of law, but he must be fully elected by the people and have the love and support of the people at all levels of the country it will be a long-term and difficult matter. But if the state leader wants it then public awareness will be very effective in eliminating corruption. Because we know that the health of the body depends mostly on the head, if the head is good then the whole body will be good and if the head is good then the whole body will perform the activities properly.

It's only possible to happen if the serving president is ready to make the changes from the political geographical system where he has to subdue those who would encounter his opinion. He must be rest assured that nothing good usually comes easy because stones would be thrown at him for going contrarily of their selfish political interests which is the main reasons why politics has become a commission of embezzlements and abusage of powers.
He should in time chain the judiciaries, the arm forces and the medias. These would be his way forward tools for backups and so also consider working along with the masses.
Although this is not an easy task.

The only way corruption like this can  be defeated by a president who is different from other leaders who have served in the past, is if the citizens of that country can fully support and stand by their president. If other bad politicians sees that majority  of the citizens  are against corruption,  I think it will be tough for them to go against the president.
Like in South Africa,  it was easy for Nelson Mandela  to fight for good governance because  he was fully supported by other citizens  of South Africa .

Yes, Fighting corruption is like slaying a multi-headed serpent; you need to attack at all levels of government and society to make an important difference. A strong leader with a sound plan can be a great ally, but they require the people's support to make their efforts effective.

Even with a united front, fighting corruption is a long-term effort. It takes an ongoing commitment from citizens, politicians, and law enforcement to guarantee that corrupt practices do not resurface under new names or in many different forms. And don't forget that corruption has nowhere to take refuge.

Not at all. Cause a president alone wouldn't do anything without support. And it'll be more harder if a country already full of corrupted person. Cause when a president would like to take an action then maybe he'll found many corrupted politicians in his own team. So generally he needs to fight against his own people if he want yo fight against corruption. But it is not impossible at all. He can make changes gradually if he really want.
The president have the power to do anything he wants , even if the president is unable to fight corruption totally the president still have the power to reduce corruption to certain level. If you say the president can't fight corruption that means a country that the whole system is corrupt will remain corrupt forever. Their is a beginning to everything,  making an attempt to stop corruption will yield a good result.

Maybe at some point in life, we are also found being corrupted without even knowing, this all starts when we sure too minded with our own personal self and not being considerate on others, corruption is an act that anyone can fall into if care is not taken because when we are not giving ourself caution on what to do and not, we may eventually go into corruption without having the idea that we are in already.

When talking about fighting corruption is easy said than done, the first question is how much united are the citizens, there is no unity even among the citizens therefore, fighting this corruption in a country can not be possible when there is no like minds. The least you could do is to do your best not to encourage bribery and corruption, in your family, and in your working place and your doings with those around you. Let the change you want begins with you.

Corruption can lead to a lack of confidence, the division in the rule of law, or an improper use of resources. It is unfortunate that corruption has taken over the country and has affected our standard of living, therefore one approach to establish peace and prevent corruption is through transparency. Transparency can benefit us by promoting a culture of responsibility in which people in positions of leadership are held accountable for their choices.
Transparency can also be applied to identify and punish corruption when it occurs. Furthermore, selflessness can be used to combat corruption, among other things.

Yes.
For a Nation to succeed she must have a reliable Leader before the change can take place.
Even the Bible says;A Nation ruled by a Righteous leader prospers,
During Elections, this should be the time the people come out to vote for the right candidate and trustworthy leader who will enhance the growth of a country.
If a genuine president is elected I think his influence will cut across all angles of the government and revive the system of government that is runned by genuine individuals who are there for the people.
Thus, enabling a Corruption free country.

Corruption can be suppressed from a country if the government wants to, but corruption cannot be suppressed from that country if the government tries to corrupt itself. The government is not trying any way to fight corruption in my country, the government is trying more to take corruption out of my country. As my country has now become a one government dictatorship, more and more corruption has started. If there is no dictatorship in the country then there will be less corruption in that country. All the people who are in the government party from my country are corrupting so much that they are building luxury houses in other states by corruption. Govt must try to suppress all these corrupt people who are owning a lot of money even from small positions. Here of course I mentioned my Bangladesh.

If a president that doesn't support corruption finds a cabinet member who is corrupt and would spoil his plans for the people then the easiest thing to do is to relieve the corrupt member from his team because afterall it is the president that will be answerable to the people if the administration doesn't deliver to the people. It is easier to relieve a member of his cabinet position if the person was solely appointed by the president or he can go through same process of appointment to relieve such person from the position. A government that is not delivering because of corruption, the president is the one to be held responsible, so he needs to fire and hire someone else at the discovery of corruption if the president is not corrupt himself.

It doesn't mean anything or be proud, we have an extraordinary country, because in our country it is impossible to eliminate corruption because it is carried out evenly by all state officials, from the highest position, to the lowest, if I may joke a little, if an angel enters the system our government, he is also involved in corruption. In our country, corruption is like a system, even those who don't want corruption also join the flow, or if they insist on not wanting to take part in corruption, they will be ostracized and dwarfed in the cabinet. even if they are caught there is no remorse, in prison they get prison facilities like 5 star hotels, guess which country this is lol. So if someone from us asks not to be corrupt, I'm pessimistic, you say that because it hasn't entered the government yet, if it does, it's the same as corruption too.

It is very difficult to fight corruption in a country like this, if corruption has eaten deep into a nation no matter how the new president fights, the corruption will fight back, is just like taking people unaware to act on something, it is not an easy stuff, corruption is an enemy of progress, to eradicate corruption totally in the society, so many institution of the government needed to be sanitized in other to get it right, despite that this process might prolong the journey but it has to be done if such government want to fix this menace, political position should not be given based on lobby or favouritism rather it should be given to people that can provide solution and technocrats.

Like in South Africa,  it was easy for Nelson Mandela  to fight for good governance because  he was fully supported by other citizens  of South Africa .
I wish Nigerians would work together to support our president in this way, but we never think the same way, all we do is criticise each other's political party, we ignore the hardships in the country, which is why our politicians always brainwash us.

The only way corruption like this can  be defeated by a president who is different from other leaders who have served in the past, is if the citizens of that country can fully support and stand by their president. If other bad politicians sees that majority  of the citizens  are against corruption,  I think it will be tough for them to go against the president.

The late President Musa Yar'Adua had good intentions to fight corruption in Nigeria, but he didn't make it due to the illness that led to his death. We don't even know if the illness was actually the cause of his death or if it was a politician's plan. Also President Muhammadu Buhari made every effort to fight corruption, to the point that he was poisoned. I've seen numerous videos in the media of some of our politicians claiming that people are pursuing their lives in an effort to fight corruption. What benefit does corruption provide that people would attempt to kill you or even take your life?

Eradicating corruption is a near impossibility because the social Political system are dominated by the retrogressive forces that keeps the system stagnant for their continues domination and enjoyment.

It will only take one president with determination to step on toes .
