That is really awesome new's and I wish good luck for Ethereum. However, ETH will be higher than XRP and I think that it is fully deserved. Maybe now we will see a bull run of ETH. Need to remember that normal price of Eth is 0.1 BTC per 1 Eth.
We all saw that coming yesterday. it was obvious that ethereum will pass XRP after a huge market surge last year late december on XRP. As of November 25 last year, XRP was capped at $13,998,356,446 and eth was $11,158,159,719. it clearly shows that ripple has gone ahead of ethereum. the sudden change looks like its related to the ethereum hard fork schedule in this january. lets hope it maintains its support.
The support is obviously growing, everything there is something new about ETH, people come buying. XRP is obviously one of the best coin, but due to its high volume, it will not remain competitive against ETH.
And the fact that ETH has fall significantly last year, with this new run, we might witnessed a great surge prior to the hard fork or could continue in post hard fork.
This race for second place should not be taken seriously. These capitalization figures do not show the real situation. If the price returns to the area of 130-135, again the capitalization of ethereum will be in third place. This is just speculation.
It seems to me that no one doubted this, because the market is already actively beginning to invest in the cryptocurrency industry. I hope that today cryptocurrencies will seriously improve the situation on the market of the entire global financial market.

I second this, ETH deserved the 2nd place. I think it is just a temporary slide off from 2nd position due to the fuds going on. Lucky, it didn’t take too long for ETH to return to number 2.
