The ACL is one of the natural enemies of football players and indeed this is something that will be very difficult when a player is already in an injury like this to get up quickly because there must be a process there which of course is not a short time.

I do not expect that a player like Fabregas at his age will be able to create the momentum that will promote the serie B side to serie A. Even when Fabregas was at the peak of his career, he wasn't that kind of player that produces so much energy to drive a club. That physical and mental force is not there. He is just like Ozil. They play good football and make decent and visionary passes, but they are not team drivers. At 35, Fabregas is going to chill off to ensure that he doesn't stay out of salary till he retires.

Fabregas has always been a great midfielder and I always thought that he can be an essential part of any team. But I also agree that he was not someone who can be effective in a game-changing way for any team. I think he is going to end his career soon. He has moved down to Serie-B and I think he will perform well in this league. But obviously not at the level that some people might expect.

Now I see Barcelona waiting for a high bid for Frenkie de Jong, it means they are giving a signal that they will release de Jong soon.
