That’s just way too much money to pay for one player, maybe I am an old person who is still used to seeing players at lower levels, and in today’s industrial football age we get to see more and more 100+, but that is a very rare situation that I do not think we should actually consider as viable for these teams, then they end up being in financial trouble and become very bad in a decade because of all these silly transfers ending up on top of each other every year.

But maybe behind the scenes, Mbappe is really not very happy about the Messi transfer, we never know. And we know that Mbappe has been wishing to leave the team for being able to join Real Madrid. If it doesn't happen now, I think it will happen next summer. Maybe it will happen even on a free transfer.

Why is this bad for the sport? The purchase was not for a big amount of money and all the big teams would have been able to pay the amount Manchester United paid.
