According to some rumours, Chelsea are looking for ways to bring Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen back to the Premier League. He hasn't been playing good since he left Tottenham. I think he was a big loss for Tottenham. If Chelsea manage to sign him, they are thinking of making a deal like they will send Jorginho to Inter in return.

https://www.calciomercatoweb.it/2021/02/10/calciomercato-inter-chelsea-sarri-eriksen-jorginho/

During his last season with the Spurs you will see that Eriksen wasn't playing as what he used to do that is why Tottenham weren't able to sell him on the price they were asking which I believe was 40 million Pounds back them and eventually they have let him leave for 27 million Pounds which is really a bargain for Inter. Now if right now Eriksen is not working out well with Inter I believe that he won't work out well going back to the premier league, maybe going onto a much lower league with a greater role like what Memphis Depay did is a better option for him. Going with Chelsea will just bury his value for good.

Mauricio Pochettino was famous for his offensive and admirable style of football, but yet, spurs were unable to win the league under him, I personally do not admire Mourinho's style of play, but when you're looking to win the EPL, there are only one or two managers to call on other than Mou, Jose has won it on numerous occasions, he prolly wouldn't win it this season, but if you sack him, who then do you employ in his place.

Maybe Spurs needs a couple of new players to strengthen the team the more before they can challenge for the title, and not a change of manager; at the beginning of the season, they looked like title contenders, but not anymore, if they lose to City tomorrow, then their chance is gone.
I don't know who can fill Mourinho's place if they sack him. For now, it seems there is no better alternative who is ready to do this. They should absolutely sign new players to improve their game quality. They are very good on the attacking side but I believe they should strengthen their defense and midfield more.
Sometimes having one good manager is not really enough, sometimes things get very bad and you just need to fire the manager and get anyone in to make that season anything worthwhile, and it could be just until the end of the season. Hell I have seen interim head coaches do a better job after the good manager leaves, all because players are afraid that there could be reprecussions for them as well, and start playing a lot better.

In any case Tottenham lost horribly and I think Mourinho served his time there and should start looking for another team and Tottenham should look for another manager, it could be during the summer break in order to not disturb the season but I think next season they should definitely part ways. Tottenham is a great offensive team with players like Son and Kane and many other offensive beasts whereas Mourinho is a great defensive coach, I think team strategy didn't fit, neither Mourinho nor the team is responsible for it.

It seems like Chelsea manager Tuchel doesn't want to talk much about Dayot Upamecano and Erling Haaland transfers. They have not a big chance to sign them too though. Bayern seem that they are the closest team for Upamecano right now.

It looks like you were right. According to Loïc Tanzi a sports journalist for RMC Sport Dayot Upamecano will join FC Bayern this summer.

Dayot Upamecano has chosen Bayern. The club has reached an agreement with the Frenchman. Bayern will activate Upamecano's release clause [@Tanziloic]

L'Équipe is reporting that FC Bayern will pay about €40m for Upamecano.

Since FC Bayern will lose David Alaba this summer, I really think a transfer of Dayor Upamecano is a wise choice. At the age of 22, he is already one of the best defenders in the Bundesliga.

It looks like Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is not under the danger of getting sacked for now. But I want to indicate that they got quite poor results in the recent times. They actually put up a good fight against Everton in Fa Cup. But in general, they are having big problems in the Premier League. In my opinion, he is not the most appropriate manager for Tottenham and they need a manager who likes to make the team play a more offensive game all through the match.

At some point Upamecano was also on the radar for other EPL clubs,,, so much in demand but clubs do not want to enter bidding wars anymore with the financial situation now.

Haaland should stay where he is and prove he can get his current club out of their slump first. Chelsea signings from Bundesliga should prove as a warning sign;)

That’s the thing.  Dortmund can’t afford his wages.  And with the club at 6th and looking likely of not having CL football next season, meaning less money coming in, they have no choice but to sell...  And no ticket sales.

From your own impression, you believe Mourinho couldn't handle Tottenham? The Tottenham problem didn't start now and if could it started long ago when they are unable to win any major trophy since the year 2008 and haven't won the FA cup since 1991 but it shocked that whenever the team is having a problem the whole blame will be on the manager. They ought to let him stay till when his contract is over on Jun 30, 2023.

You're right about the thing that Tottenham haven't got a major trophy for a very long time. But in my opinion, their performance is way worse than before. I don't like Mourinho's playing style. It is not just about him. I don't like managers who prefer making the team play a more defensive game after scoring one or two goals. It is not good for Tottenham too. Still Son and Kane are playing really great but the team can play much better than this.

Every clubs currently thinking about how to survive in this pandemic situation, players must accepted if the clubs take a decision to released them or cut their salaries to help their current clubs. and players agents also need to evaluate every players under his control, so the transfer for players not too expensive as normal condition. If agent put high price for players, the next transfer window will be same as January transfer. Look at Inter Milan and Barcelona conditions, after COVID both of them have bad financial conditions, if players price still expensive, they are very closed to bancrupt.

That's true but the saddest story is when you know the real Messi's salary lol, it is 555.237.619 € (including every concept), so you can also hear and read about the clubs are in troubles and bankrupt situations.... this crazy football world is getting crazy day by day.

hmph..
That's true guys, COVID-19 was a real disaster for every single club and some of their new signings were suspended or rejected for this pandemic situation. Otherwise we have the main clubs cutting out the player's salaries so I can not forecast many new signings for this 2021. Let's wish and preach a fast solution with the incoming vaccines because that's a bit boring, no new top signings, etc

Covid cut the clubs' budgets significantly and we're basically talking about older players with no resell value. Most of them are still really good, some of them not even that old (Donnarumma, Alaba), but their salaries are becoming too much of a burden for their clubs.

Take Wijnaldum's example - he's been great for Liverpool, he wants a bigger contract now and Liverpool simply does not have room in their budget to give him one. And we're talking about the champions of England and recent CL winners.

I was about to say the same thing but I think they could be looking out to sell one of them and not all if all those financial situation of Dortmund is true. Out of these selling Haaland and Jadon Sancho should be enough to get out of their financial crisis. We already saw that quite some teams were interested in Jadon Sancho but Dortmund were asking for a higher bid and Man U were only looking for negotiations if could be made and met. Still I think selling any of these players will dent their squad a lot.

But before that I am wondering if this financial situation as they say is all true (?)
I do not know if their situation is true or not, but I am sure if they end up selling all their roster, they could gather enough money to get new players as well. It is not an easy task to build a team, and they already have a decent one and everyone says sancho is so great and haaland is so great but in the end Dortmund is playing bad right now and losing games.

It means having good players do not mean anything if you end up losing games and do nothing. That is basically why they are probably looking to sell their players, Haaland specially could bring 100+ million easily, and with sancho being very expensive as well, those two alone are good enough to get at least 3-4 good players, and with the rest sold as well, they could maybe finish up 5-6 good players instead of having 2 great and others decent, they will have many good players, so averaging the talent in the starting 11 instead of having few great.

Interesting article today on the BBC:  ''The summer for a bargain? Some of Europe's best players are available for free''
The list of these free players is really impressive: Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan), Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), David Alaba (Bayern Munich), Fernandinho (Manchester City), Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Angel di Maria (Paris St-Germain) etc.
Who will be the lucky winners and get these players?
It's actually hard for me to understand how it's possible that so many top footballers can leave their clubs for free.

Tuchel sees Chelsea's back line in need of improvement, so from now on he is eyeing several top defenders. So there are several choices of defenders
who want to bring by Tuchel, including Upamecano and Alaba. In fact Tuchel really wanted to get Alaba, because the status of Alaba is free transfer.
But hampered by the problem of requesting a very high salary from Alaba, may now turn to Upamecano. Even though the chances are very small,
because Bayern are getting closer to Upamecano now to replace Alaba. Then regarding Erling Haaland, it's not Tuchel's priority, so I'm not sure Chelsea
will compete for Haaland.
