Hakan Calhanoglu move confirmed
Chelsea were briefly linked with a move for Turkey international Hakan Calhanoglu when the summer transfer window opened.

The attacking midfielder's future had been up in the air with his contract at AC Milan expiring next week.

But there will be no more talk of Calhanoglu arriving at Stamford Bridge this summer as the playmaker has sealed a move to Milan's bitter rivals Inter.

Haaland price-tag
Reports in Italy claim that Borussia Dortmund have slapped a €175m (£149m) price-tag on Erling Haaland's head.

This represents a new price tag for the striker.

Previously it was reported that a monstrous €180million (£153m) bid would be enough to tempt the Bundesliga side into selling Haaland this summer.

There is a piece of good news for Milan fans, Oliver Giroud is close to Milan with 2 years contract. I don't know how much Chelsea received for that. it will add ammunition for the club to buying a new forwarded to replace him. I heard about Bakayoko either, both for clause contract.

Messi and the Barcelona management will soon terminate that contract and I don't think Barcelona are ready to part with Messi. I'm sure he will stay for a few more season before he decide to retire.

With the current financial situation in Barcelona, maybe letting Messi go is the best way to make finances better. Of course this is not an easy decision for Barcelona to lose a star player who has grown up with the club. however, saving the club, they must take this decision so as not to make the club worse off.

In next 9 days Lionel Messi will be a free agent as his agreement with Barcelona will terminates, then he is allowed where he might want to go. Does he will be Barca players again after being free?

We already heard too many rumors about Messi leaving in the past but it never happens.
There is always something interesting about him that make the media get more money from the rumors that are reported. Rumors will happen anytime against a player like Messi even if he doesn't say anything to the media. I also believe he will stay at Barcelona.

Arsenal are on the verge of signing James Madison of Leicester according to report,It is said that arsenal will have to pay a whooping sum of 60 million to acquire the services of this great player.Nevertheles,Leicester are reluctant to sell the midfielder as they prepare for the new season. It us yet to be seen if Arsenal could finalise the deal in the next coming days or not,but it would really be a good deal for Arsenal if they can pull it through.

Laporta said there will be swap deal coming in in the horizon.
Today, Sport suggested him to "swap Adama Traore for Trincao." The newspaper supports the idea that Trincao's agent is Jorge Mendes, who has an alliance relationship with Wolverhampton, and the Portuguese atmosphere in the English club will be welcoming for the player while Adam Traore goes back to Spain  with the club that he started with.

I am sure Messi won't go anywhere, he will renew his contract in Barcelona.
We already heard too many rumors about Messi leaving in the past but it never happens. As long as Barcelona management agrees with his salary, Messi will stay there. In my view, Messi will be a Barcelona player for 2 years more. He may consider leaving once he is 35 years old, in this age he may think to play 1 or 2 years again on another club before retiring. IMO

As a City fan myself, I somewhat agree.  I’d rather see Pep acquire some unknown, young, talented prospect than see them get all those good players from other EPL clubs.  It’s like the Sterling acquisition.  I hated it.

They blew it with Sancho.  They should’ve just let the guy rank up in the club.  He was obv talented and they saw that...  But still sold him to BVB.  Meh.

The plan is clear with the Superleague if it will happen the sheiks will be resized.

one more to PSG, another 10m€/year salary for them if will happen.

Football of the people.

Looking at it now, I have say that it is just few teams left that can afford these players and each picked one of them so all of these names get only one offer and nothing more. Even Kane who is up for grabs by the looks of it only got one offer, if it was 3-4 seasons ago I would have expected at least 5 teams to offer to buy him because that is the kind of player he is.

City offered £100m for he, even teams that have a good cashier can't buy "two Kanes" at once.
But that's what you said, teams pick a player from the best available and then invest in smaller signings. City still thinking about hiring Gabriel Jesus, Laporte and Sterling as far as I know.

Covid pricing has taken off at least 30% of market value according to some reports I read, and that is just the market price. Salaries also have dropped by at least 10%,,, and Sterling has a big wage deal so clubs have to take the wage share as part of price cut.

More importantly,,, if you have seen him playing recently you realize he is not the hot prospect he once was.
Yeah, but the Covid crisis did not reflect the price on Kane, Mbappe, Haaland... Some players get offers with new contract Pogba for example and high salary.
maybe I'm not credible because I'm thinking that is Sterling one of the most overpriced player. <50mill is probably a more realistic price for them.
I believe it sort of did impacted their price. Not the way you think, the price is still high but there is no competition for them and that is what got impacted. Back in the day if pandemic didn't happen then we would have many teams fighting for these players, even at these prices, sure there are maybe 10 clubs in the whole world that can afford these players but at least 3 or 4 of them would have tried to do something, even if they would pay less than what is offered here, there would be offers all the same.

Looking at it now, I have say that it is just few teams left that can afford these players and each picked one of them so all of these names get only one offer and nothing more. norwich city signs kosovan national player Milot Rashica for the new season from germans bundesliga relegated werder bremen

After being relegated to 2. Bundesliga, Werder Bremen, have sold one of their prized assets and generated much-needed cash. The Grün-Weißen have confirmed that they have sold Milot Rashica to Norwich City. The Premier League club have also confirmed the deal. The 24-year-old forward with a market value of €9 million was the second most valuable player in Werder's squad; he will now receive a contract until 2025 at Norwich City. According to Sky Sports UK, the fee is in the region of €11 million.

Milot Rashica is a player with great potential even though he is only 23 years old, but he is able to appear consistent with Werder Bremen this season, even though this season Wender Bremen are relegated but the performance shown by Milot Rashica is really able to make a number of Premier League clubs interested, and I think norwich city is very lucky to get one of these gems from kosovo, this season Milot Rashica has scored 8 goals and four assists from 24 games, and of course with the joining of Milot Rashica, Milot Rashica can be plot to be used as a center forward as a backing for pukki or indeed menplotkan in the position of winger and left wing striker norwich city next season.

Mbappé' gonna be the best footballer of the future, but he's already taking the place of Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Kylian Mbappé loves to go fast, as a very young player with Monaco he was revealed to the world and at only 19 years of age, for 180 million euros (!!!), he signed for Paris Saint-Germain. This summer will be decisive for his future: his contract with the French expires in one year, Kylian has not shown any intention of extending it, so far. His dream is Real Madrid, but reaching an agreement with Florentino Perez and Al Khelaifi will not be easy.

Many people are on the same page about Kylian Mbappe surely. After Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, we were all wondering who was going to be the next player who we would watch fascinatedly. Mbappe is the one.

When it comes to being transferred to Real Madrid, it doesn't look like it will happen this summer. PSG don't seem to be okay about this. They don't want to lose their most valuable player.
It's very difficult to determine who the world's best players will be after the messi and ronaldo era ends for now in my opinion, and actually there are some players who are currently very prominent in football, but still these players seem to be covered by the dominance of these two players, let's say like Virgil van Dijk who even last year finished second in the Ballon d'Or voting and of course this shows that if Virgil van Dijk has a greater chance of overturning the dominance of messi and ronaldo as the best player in the future and of course we also should taking into account one of the Dortmund players who are currently at their best, namely Erling Haaland, and in my opinion, if he continues to maintain his performance, it certainly does not rule out the possibility that he will become a great player in the future.

Ramsey is fed up with both Juve and Italy. The Welshman in fact has decided, his desire is to return to Arsenal. Not easy to find the right fit, but not impossible either. And the parties involved are working away from the spotlight to find an agreement. It might be a difficult exchange but, if the player does not want to play for Juve anymore is going to b hard to keep him. On the finance side this is all but sure though.

Manchester united seem to have changed goal post,  or rather they have toned down with their Sancho chase after seeing they aren't getting any progress...now United have defender Torres has their next target.  But even with United show of interest the young lad seems not moved as he wants to stay with his boyhood club Villarreal.
I guess this transfer season isn't going to be a walk in the park for several clubs this time around.

It's interesting, Raheem Sterling is a part of this deal. it seems that he is worth less than <50mill. when his value dropped so much?
I remember some speculation 2-3 years ago, Real Madrid interested in them and a possible 120+ million deal was mentioned.

As I recall, Liverpool sold Sterling to City for £ 50mill. Sterling had a lot of potential back then, but I am not sure that he has grown significantly since then.

Transfermarkt still values Sterling at €90m and Real Madrid offering €120m it was jut right after his peak in value back in the beginning of 2020.
and his rise in value explained by having contribution by 24 goals in season 19/20 in EPL alone 20 of them were goals while the season before 18/19 he had contributed by 29 goals 17 of them were goals.
Last season was not his worst in the previous 4 seasons with Citizens, he had a real drop of in finishing big chances, that's what city missed the most but managed to win the EPL but lost UCL to Chelsea. No wonder now they are splashing cash on Tottenham face for Kane.
