And now a little more about possible transfers, rumors and news:

Manchester City never made a serious attempt to sign Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly. Are they late?
Spain midfielder Dani Ceballos, 24, says he was determined to return on loan to Arsenal despite Real Madrid asking him to wait a month. He seems to care about playing rather than sitting on a bench.
Manchester City are hopeful Pep Guardiola will sign a new contract but will start looking for a successor if the manager was to signal a desire to leave. Whether a possible new failure in the Champions League will decide?
Spain midfielder Juan Mata, 32, has been offered a lucrative deal to leave Manchester United for Saudi Arabia. The right time for a good retirement?
Real Madrid have ruled out signing Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba, 27, after he said it was his dream to play for the club one day. The story about Pogba is slowly becoming not a tragedy or a comedy but a farce.

@Daniel91 I feel it’ll be really foolish to let Mata leave, because he’s performed exceptionally well in the cup games, and he should be kept until better player’s can be brought in January transfer window. Also I feel that Pogba is itching to get out of Manchester United, and of course Real Madrid are now going to say no, because they want to lower his valuation, and then next year they’ll smartly submit a bid for him, and purchase him for a cheap price.

Yeah they never considered him. They were searching for defenders with certain parameters and Koulibaly never fell in those. So kinda like it was out of radar. However they got Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias and they were the ones which were the top targets of City in defensive areas as according to club's football operations chief Omar Berrada.

Spain midfielder Dani Ceballos, 24, says he was determined to return on loan to Arsenal despite Real Madrid asking him to wait a month. He seems to care about playing rather than sitting on a bench.

Real Madrid has lot of players and it would be really hard for him to find playing. Hakimi did a good move going to Inter Milan and is happy about the chances he is getting. Ceballos also did the right thing.

There is one more potential midfielder Odegaard who recently returned from loan from Sociedad to Madrid back. I am wondering how will his future go now he is back at Madrid. He is at a very young age and is really creative midfielder. I hope Madrid try to at least develop him.

Totally agree and not just saying this as a Spurs fan or a United hater (which I am not hehe) but Pogba playing is so lazy I am surprised he managed to last in EPL until this day. Kane also looks lazy but you can see him saving up his energy for bursts,,, but Pogba is all around jogging even when losing.

Kane is a great finisher, all of his good work is done in & around the 18 yard box so it’s a bit different. If I’m his manager I’m not asking him to do so much work without the ball, his job is to score goals.

Pogba is a bit different, he’s supposed to be an all action midfield player. Kane is winning Spurs games scoring goals. I’m not really sure what Pogba actually does well.

The Guardian has just published a very interesting article: ''60 of the best young talents in world football''
It is very interesting to look at this gallery of footballers, and these players are certainly already being closely monitored by the biggest European clubs like Real, Barcelona, Manchester City...

In the meantime, I read that Bale has been reborn since he left Real and that he has become an example to his teammates in Tottenham.
This transfer seems to have been a winning combination for everyone involved, for both the club and him.

Damn!! We are not talking about a game!  Cheesy
Well, maybe after reading your message above, Real Madrid will try to forget him as they finally know who Pogba is.

Pogba is one of the most lazy and overrated players in world football. He has an occasional good game followed by 15 horrible performances and I doubt it that they are waiting for him in Madrid with open arms.
Do you think he is almost the same as Balotelli?
I'm not sure to claim he is a lazy player or nor because of what he showed in Man. United was quite different then what he did in Juventus. I doubt if the way to handle him is different. Juventus may do the right way to handle him, but Man. United cannot do the proper way to handle him. Yeah, that what I guess.

To me Pogba is so arrogant and felt he is among the highest transfer market that had occurred, but that's not only the problem, he is actually a lazy player that thinks he is more better than all, I don't really think pogba will have a significant play at Real Madrid, he has already played in Serie A at Juventus, so I see him finishing out to Inter milan side when transfer market opens.

Life, Love and Laughter...
Pogba can play well with Juventus, but he can't seem to be part of Manchester United. Early in his career with Manchester United could not prove his talent, with Juventus he became a predator. Returning to United was like repeating the bad history with the team that introduced him as potential players. Now he is rumored to be going to Madrid, whether he can show this talent the same as when he played for Juventus or not. If Pogba fails to show his best again, it will become an ineffective transfer for Real Madrid  Huh

Pogba is a joke these days, he came to the PL with massive potential & a huge transfer fee. He’s failed imo, he hasn’t justified his transfer fee or reputation. I challenge anybody to convince me he’s a world class CM.

Prolly cos EPL is tougher than Serie A.  Smiley  Kidding.  Grin

Now we know why SAF got rid of him all those years ago and sold him for cheap to Juve.  It's Mou and Woodward's fault.

Real will probably go hard for Mbappe next year, if Pogba goes there he will go on much smaller wages and will definitely not come as a superstar. I see him more in an Inter squad than in Real one.

It is good news for Madrid fans like me. Real Madrid can have a high chance to sign him
Madrid, please buy this overrated player and ends MU's misery. You know, "arrogant" players like Ibrahimovic, CR7, Robben usually deliver the result. But this guy cannot make a difference as he played like crap when the team was losing. Grin

And he is as young as Lingardinho Grin (aka not young anymore).

I cannot understand why this transfer never happened as pogba himself a lot of times sends a clear message that he wants the real madrid move.
Nobody can reject real madrid charm , it is too hard to leave it behind and so do with pogba feeling now.
The next transfer window will be opened again within 8 weeks which yes manchester united need to take an action as soon as possible to reduce the damage as letting pogba on free is a huge loss.

He has a contract he can't leave when he want and for sure he can't trhow sh*t in to Manchestery still he is paid by them otherwise he risks his own salary.

It is good news for Madrid fans like me. Real Madrid can have a high chance to sign him if Man. United fails to extend his contract. Pogba is a talented young player, he is perfect to play together with Modric or Kroos in the midline of Real Madrid. As he is still young, he also can be targeted to be a successor of Modric or Kroos someday. Well, I hope Real Madrid management will be interested in this news.

Maybe they have a few big reasons like contract agreements or family advice. Pogba can have a high interest to join Real Madrid, but it doesn't mean the transfer will always happen easily as we expect. However, personally I really support if Pogba will come to Bernabeu as his next career destination.

I think Man. United has planned the solution for Pogba. AFAIK, Man. United isn't like Barcelona which can let their top players to go with a cheap price. Let's see how Man. United and Pogba to deal with this situation.  Cheesy

Paul Pogba's position has shifted a bit to become a defensive midfielder under Bruno Fernandes so that this is a bad step for Pogba in developing his playing career, I think Pogba will not reach a good level if he continues to be behind the attacking midfielder. Maybe Solkjaer wants to provide a good position for Paul Pogba so he can get a brilliant performance and continue to be the solution for Manchester United this season to win the title.

Paul Pogba opened a door to a possible tranfer to Real Madrid, he can signs for free in 3 months if Man United can't extend the contract.

They should have an unilateral option clause for the extention of 1 year on his contract but we are getting close to 1st February now...

Liverpool has signed Marcelo Pitaluga, A 17-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper from Fluminense. While Liverpool just made the announcement a couple of hours ago,  I think the deal took place days ago before the transfer window officially closed and got delayed maybe due to paperwork or some other  issues. The transfer fee wasn't disclosed  as well.

The premier league is tough but I think he'll make a fine stopper for us since he'll have the reliable Allison to nurture and help him grow. Also, I'm glad we have someone to compete with Adrian for the second choice spot. Adrian hasn't done so well in the absence of Allison - cost us one too many opportunities like crashing out of 2019/2020 champions league.
