There are very strong ties between Barcelona and Messi.

PSG would love to have a chance to have Messi on their team, but as everyone already knows, Messi's partnership with Barcelona could easily go far beyond the two-year contract being renewed.
Unfortunately, we don't know what the values of the deal are, but I think this is the least of Messi's problems.
Good to see a player loyal to a team that doesn't jump from place to place just for financial gain.

However, without doing such a thing, he will have no trouble finding clubs that will pay much more than his current salary. One of these clubs could be Manchester City and another could be Paris SG.
I don't think so, a couple of years ago City or PSG could prolly have gone all out to sign Messi notwithstanding his wages, but right now, considering Messi's age, I don't think they'd be willing to pay wages that are too high for him. Messi has also turned down offers from this clubs in the past, thus this could also have made them lose interest in him, Messi is best suited in Barcelona, and if he wanted to leave, he should have done that seasons ago, since he has stayed in Camp Nou till this time, it's much better if he just finishes his career there, or move to a lower league when he's above 35.

The option to reduce salary should be the ultimate decision. I believe Barcelona will try to fulfill his salary fully if they can.
Now, it is all about the capacity of Barcelona financial currently. Even the option is to reduce Messi's salary, I think Messi won't refuse it as long as it is reasonable.

I believe a lot of top players already are accepting that this is the case for everyone and I believe Messi will make the sacrifices,,, god knows he has already sacrificed a lot in the past, money is not everything for this guy. And we all know indeed he is reasonable. I would not even say the same about my own player (Bale).

^  Daniel Levy is probably picking up the phone as soon as he heard the news.  Lolol.  They’re desperate for a manager.  No one wants the job!  Cheesy  Jokes going around that Neil Warnock turned down the job and Tony Pulis is thinking about it.  Cheesy Cheesy

Anyway..  La Liga fans.  Who is Junior Firpo and is he any good?  Bielsa seems to have convinced him to join Leeds.

Messi looks loyal player but we can see will extended on Barcelona or not
No one doubts his loyalty. Messi won't leave Barcelona if he has no big reason. I am sure he actually consider staying in Barcelona till the end of his professional career. As there is no big reason for him to leave Barcelona now, surely we will see him again in Barcelona for the next season because he will sign his contract extension.

Many club reduce giving salary for their player and we know Messi salary on Barcelona very fantastic, can Barcelona pay full for Messi

I think he is loyal only to money and a high salary.
if Messi is seriously loyal to Barcelona, then it should not be a problem for him to reduce his salary. He has already earned huge money there, also he is not in the best years of his career.
Barcelona is forced to sell off players and cut wage costs, but Messi killing them with his demands.
I remember some other "loyal" players, but there has never been so much speculation about the contract extension. (Giggs, Scholes, Gerrard, Totti...)

There are very strong ties between Barcelona and Messi. In fact, Lionel Messi needs to make some sacrifices so that these ties do not break. However, without doing such a thing, he will have no trouble finding clubs that will pay much more than his current salary. One of these clubs could be Manchester City and another could be Paris SG. If Barcelona are having financial problems, they can solve it by trying to convince the most important player in the team. There have been excellent relations between Barcelona and Messi in the past.
It seems that Messi and Braselona have already agreed on a contract extension and rumors about this appear constantly, but for some reason it has not yet been officially announced and the timing of these announcements is constantly shifting, which leads to some reflections that not everything is as smooth as they are trying to present to us. In any case, Messi will be forced to take a salary cut and he agrees to it, because Barcelona's financial resources are not so brilliant and the League rules about club budgets are already coming into force here, so most likely the delay is due to these nuances. Therefore, most likely a new contract will be signed, although I would love to see the Argentine in another championship, when he would have to leave the comfort zone of his native club  Wink

I just think Lionel Messi won't dare to go to another league because what he is afraid of is the dimming of his career.
Being loyal to a one club does not mean one is afraid of failing, we've seen many one club players in the past who also got great offers from different leagues but all of the choose to stay back and retired, Measi has more goals against English top 6 clubs than any other players outside the league. If messi has chosen to stay with Bacelona the rest of his life despair the eye watering offers from PSG and Mancity then he deserves to have a statue outside Camp noun for his loyalty... Messi will shine in every league.
I'm just measuring the tension between Barcelona's management and Messi if it's still going on then I think it's still worth it to leave, but I think it's resolved and now it's improved by extending his contract, I know Messi still has a love for Barcelona which has now made a name for itself. his even the best player in the world was at Barcelona at the time so it was only natural that he stayed until his career with Barcelona because of that loyalty that was inseparable.

Just like Thierry Henry who has a statue outside the Emirates Stadium and now Messi is a must have at Camp Nou
Messi looks loyal player but we can see will extended on Barcelona or not maybe with reduce salary get by Messi, almost club got pandemic crisis and they try how to manage financial right now. Many club reduce giving salary for their player and we know Messi salary on Barcelona very fantastic, can Barcelona pay full for Messi or City will try to get Messi free transfer.

Everton fans have continued to voice their opposition to the imminent appointment of Rafa Benitez as manager, with a threatening banner left close to the home of the former Liverpool boss.

The sinister message, which read ‘We Know Where You Live. Don’t Sign’, was hung near to Benitez’s residence on the Wirral.

Threats from Everton fans don't play around, they look very serious about this. I think he will think twice about getting into Everton.

Really foolish from them, Liverpool - Everton was never that kind of rivalry. He is a Liverpool legend but he left more than 10 years ago, these kind of threats should not be a part of football.

I really love Benitez but it remains to be seen how good is he anymore - he spent his last 5 managerial years in Newcastle and China. There are probably better options available for Toffees, Rafa is surely past his best.
I do agree that Benitez and Everton is a horrible match, not only because Benitez is a Liverpool legend and he should not be part of a club like that, it is like seeing Mourinho managing Barcelona or pep managing real Madrid one day, to add into examples and those type of stuff should not happen in football, fans do have a say in these things and even though it is not 100% and they just let it be, when you get someone that the fans literally HATE instead of just disapprove then you are going to get in trouble.

However even with that in mind I would have to say that its really impossible to understands how "we know where you live" is acceptable in any terms, that is not only a bad thing to do as a football fan but that sounds like a crime at the very least, like whoever did that should be definitely jailed and questioned and put on court, not a big punishment of course just a small fine or something but that is seriously bad.

I have heard some rumours like Bayern Munich are very interested in signing Romelu Lukaku this summer. It looks like Lukaku doesn't have any intention to go back to the English Premier League. He may be eyeing Lewandowski's place. But Lewandowski had much better season than Lukaku. It wouldn't be easy for Lukaku to replace him that easy.

Besides, Lukaku was saying that he didn't want to leave Inter this summer. So I don't expect a transfer like this to happen honestly.

Where is your source? Lukaku already said he was very happy where he is plus he even admitted he spoke to the new manager before the news was even let out as rumors,,, and he was very much wanted there.

Bayern always needs a target man though and it does seem to fit what Lukaku is able to provide,,, but yes, agree. He will never go back to Premier League after United experience.

It’s a pretty sensitive spot for Benitez imo.  If he signed with Tottenham, I think it’s fine.  But with Liverpool’s rivals Everton and especially United?  Lol.  He’s going to get a lot of sh*t for it.  It’s like if Wenger signed with Tottenham which would he hilarious or Ferguson to City.

There's nothing between Liverpool and Mbappe, that has been confirmed by many legitimate sources already. Liverpool doesn't have nearly enough money to do that kind of deal, and Mbappe would break the complete wage structure currently set up within the first team.

A transfer for somebody like Malen seems more likely, he fits both the budget and wage requirements and has potential to grow.

After Messi contract's finish this year not any new negotation so far about will Messi extended for Barcelona or looking foe new challenge with other club maybe Manchester City or try on Serie A league.
Messi contract has been extended to 2024 I guess he so STAYING!!! Messi only dream of wearing the Barcelona jersey forever and that's what a legend of one club players do, Barcelona is not doing well in terms of players recruiting for the past 3 seasons now but with the new leadership, things could change a bit to make it easy life more comfortable again to play for the club he loves.
I didn't think that messi would stay and spend his career in barcelona, as a professional player it seems like messi is comfortable in the barcelona uniform so he doesn't want to seek new experiences to play outside spain, and i think now messi is one of the footballers who stays with one club quite a long time, if we count the start of messi to barcelona in 2003-2004 and the end of his new contract in 2024, messi's total playing for barcelona is 21 years....!!
I think lionel messi will be like liverpool legend Jamie Carragher who spent his football career at only one club.

Transfer rumours:

Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Paris St-Germain and France forward Kylian Mbappe, 22, who has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid. Mbappe's contract at PSG is set to expire in 2022. It seemed to me that an agreement on Mbappe’s departure to Madrid had already been reached? Are there any more possible surprises here?
Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku has all but ruled out a Premier League return - with the 28-year-old Belgium striker has instead been tipped to succeed Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich. Another surprising news today. Is there a chance for this deal?
Manchester City's hopes of convincing England winger Raheem Sterling, 26, to sign a new deal have been hurt by the club's move of offering him up as a makeweight in a potential deal for Tottenham striker Harry Kane. Is Kane really coming to Manchester? I think there will still be a lot of talks and negotiations here.
Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho, 29, dreams of a return to Liverpool, but the Reds do not have any plans to bring the Brazilian back to Anfield. Another option for Coutinho is either Inter Milan or Leicester, who are managed by his former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, but the Foxes are only interested in a season-long loan deal. I think Coutinho definitely made a mistake when he came to Barcelona and now he is trying to revive his career.

Interesting rumor with Mbappe and Liverpool.  But I don’t think that’s happening.  Will Liverpool really do a City and splash the cash on Mbappe?  It’s not like them.

Best move of Lukaku’s career if he transfers to Bayern imo.  He’ll def win the CL there.

Supposedly Mbappe is a big Real fan and wants to play for that club so I guess you’re right here.
I believe that Lukaku, like Kane, wants to go to a club where he will be able to win the European Champions League and therefore Bayern would be a very good choice for him.
In fact, I think the German league would suit him given his style of play and physical strength.
However, none of this has yet been officially confirmed.

Here we go!! Messi is likely gonna sign contract extension with Barcelona until 2023. Guess all that drama we had about Messi leaving was all due to him being unhappy with the management back then. Sorry for those who wanted to see him in different league for a change. I also deep down wanted him to switch for a change.

(Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1409174172023066629)

So Lionel Messi wants to stay with Barcelona and extend his contract until 2023, maybe Lionel Messi doesn't want any changes in other leagues means they want to stay in barcelona with the current situation, I just think Lionel Messi won't dare to go to another league because what he is afraid of is the dimming of his career.

From what I have observed before about the speculation about Messi's departure because it doesn't fit with the management, it's just an emotion but in fact he still wants to be with Barcelona
I completely agree too much drama fro basically nothing! I remember I've defended Lionel Messi so hard after what happened last year to him but I guess, as usual, money's the best thing to use to allow the temperature to cool down and relax the relationship. Good for him, but I expected some guts form him in this situation.
