I just saw a news that Chelsea have agreed a deal sign 18-year-old Mamadou Sarr from Strasbourg but that the teenager will remain at his current club till the end of the season. I think Chelsea have signed too many players in recent times to still be signing a young defender like Sarr. They recently recalled Trevor Chalobah and also have few other top center backs including Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo Wesley Fofana and others. These are all young players who I think have the ability to help Chelsea conquer the world. What could be the club management's reason of going for another defender again? Let me read your thoughts about this move by Chelsea

The management of Chelsea under the current owner of Chelsea football club Todd Boehly is both into entertainment and another level of business with Chelsea, which is basically into buying of young players and grooming them to sell when their values must have have increased thereby targeting to make huge profits from selling these players at their pick time. Now Chelsea is filled with number of young players.

What Manchester United are doing terribly right now is their defense, or maybe it's not right to blame one of the lines if the team is playing badly. Amorim understands how bad everything is, he himself mentions it, that there has never been such a bad MU, I admit that he may even regret leaving Sporting, everything was great for him there and they were moving towards becoming champions again, and here he has huge problems that he doesn't know how to solve.
To be fair, even the manager came out and said they are terrible, so it's clear that they are not really doing that well, we are all aware of it and they are aware of it as well. At the very least, the biggest difference between Amorim and ETH is that Amorim at least said "WE", if ETH lost this game, he would just go out and said "well I am the manager that won 2 cups with this team and beat City to get FA cup, so obviously the players are playing terrible and I am not the issue here" or something, trying to save himself, whereas Amorim actually says WE, meaning that yeah things are terrible but Amorim puts himself in there along with the players as well, that's the most important part and as long as that happens, the team will recover, because Amorim is taking blame too.
I really like Amorim character in the interview after the defeat to Brighton, he looks very genius in positioning himself as an inseparable part of the players who experienced defeat. The statement contains many meanings, which can be interpreted differently by people who follow Man United development. And in essence it can be concluded as a form of recognition that they need to work harder in the future.

Amorim gives what the media crew wants, and indirectly the message will reach everyone involved in the team through the headlines. I think Amorim statement will be incentive for the players so that they give their best to rise. I agree with people who assume that Amorim is playing his cards. While Ten Hag has a different character, he likes to find a scapegoat to blame when his team suffers defeat.

Yes, Arsenal need a much sharper striker. Goyokeres has long been associated with Arsenal's transfer market, but the rumor is still not real.

However, this time we hear a rumor that Arsenal is now targeting Benjamin Sesko. and they are assessing him. However, RB Leipzig has denied the rumor and stated that there has been no discussion about it. It means that this transfer will no probably for this January, whereas, Arsenal needs it as soon as possible.

Source: Arsenal assessing striker options for January.

Arsenal's attitude towards this transfer window might end up disappointing the fans because from the look of things, it doesn't look like they are going to sign any player. We keep seeing heavy rumors of links with Arsenal and different players, but still, nothing concrete.

From my observations, players are still very much available in this transfer window, and almost all players can make a move only for the right amount. Sesko's agent, sometime last week said that his player (Sesko) can not go for a loan, and they haven't received/started any discussion with other teams concerning the player, which still proves that Arsenal hasn't taken any step at all.

Like I said, every player can leave for the right amount, so there is a big chance that sesko might leave this January for the right amount. If arsenal wants to splash, they need to do it now at all cost.

This is good news and it will be really exciting if Arteta can finally seal this deal for good. Arsenal have suffered in recent games to maintain winning ways, the team has suffered injury woes this season including losing their key player in attack Bukayo Saka who is injured and sidelined for weeks. Hopefully this signing will improve the squad and their performance level going forward if the deal can be realised.

When a coach sees what will bring good for them they make sure they go extra mile to make sure the good remain and not just on seasonal basis but constantly, so for Arteta to notice Sesko means that he has seen the good he can bring for them, however not just only Arsenal that should be happy but also Sesko because I no that a lot of players would have wish for Arsenal to see them as there first choice but they did not, so I'm glad that Sesko will be leaving his current league after several season, however I noticed that this wasn't the first season Arsenal wanted him because i think they made an effort last season but maybe because of rival they did not get him.

Sesko can be a very good option for Arsenal because after all he is currently one of the young players who has very good potential so that when in the end Goyokeres cannot be used as a target player for several reasons, Sesko can be a very good option.

Arsenal currently still have several attacking players but indeed they still cannot contribute well and it seems that the presence of this new striker will also make some players like Gabriel Jesus could lose their position later.
Their midfield is actually quite good for Arsenal especially until now Odegaard is still very able to maintain the condition of the midfield but Arsenal are still troubled for finishing problems so Sesko can be an option even though in the end this is also not easy and will definitely be very expensive to get by Arsenal.

Incredible how Antony from a potential phenomenal player became a meme player.
What went wrong?
His move to Manchester United was a mistake because Antony's performance in the end became very bad and even seemed to be ridiculed for now because he was at Manchester United.

To be honest, in the end, the performance on the field is not only based on one player but indeed the poor performance of Mancehster United makes Antony's condition also follow which makes him unable to develop in the EPL.

In addition, he does not seem too suitable to be in the EPL even though as you said he was at Ajax is one of the players who has very good talent and even quite promising as a player but his desire to reunite with Ten Hag in the end destroyed the performance that had been very well established in the Eredivisie for Antony.

Finally Arsenal is getting a striker and I think that is good news for them if the deal is successful. Arteta have been fooling around for too long relying on Havertz and thinking he can win the league but it’s high time he stops deceiving himself and get a goal scorer to help the team. Sesko is not a bad striker and I believe he can help the team so now I am looking to see how well Arsenal will perform when the deal is done. Barcelona have eyes for good players but their financial situation is weighing them down so I don’t think they can challenge Arsenal for his signature.
I can’t believe this until the deal is sealed because I know Arsenal and how they are doing when signing players especially if the player is expensive; you can remember how Declan Rice deal went last two seasons transfer window.

If the deal of Benjamin Sesko is successful, then we can hope for Arsenal to try their best in winning the Premier League this season, but if they fooled their fans again, it will be difficult to trust the process again because it is obvious that Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are not reliable for big team like Arsenal.

A loan move will not be bad for Antony at least he will have more playing time and an opportunity to prove himself and improve his game. We are all surprised how Antony became a laughing stock since joining Manchester United, he was a talented player with prospects to shine but no one knows what went wrong. I hope he can redeem himself with this loan move.
A great move for Antony, he should even consider leaving Manchester United on a permanent deal because Manchester United fans don’t like him and his performance is below standard considering the huge sum of money they signed him back then from Ajax.
However, he can gain more experience to fight back for his position, but I think Manchester United is letting all these players just to raise money for a better player.

He was going to say it be because he didn't form that squad in the first place. No manager will say bad about what he form with his hands because there is going to be a lot of criticism simce he was the one who pick them from their respective club and brought them to Manchester United, this is why even when the team were worse under ETH, he has never made a bad comments, he always believes in the players till his last day as the manager of the club.

If Amorim thinks this combination is bad and worse, there is no problem, they should atleast finish the season in a good place so they can come back again next season in the Premier League. Where there is going to be problem is if by next season he is unable to do a better thing with his next signees, that's where there is going to be a big problem. I never expected how he was going to coach team that beat his previous team twice in a row but time will tell.

Napoli and Chelsea both are pushing for Garnacho by the way. Manchester United is ready to listen to reasonable offers. Napoli offered 40 million pounds first but the Red Devils expects a sum around 60 million.

Chelsea doesn't need him, there's no place for him in the club as Chelsea already has too many players and are already finding it hard to give all of them quality playing time. Some players are deciding to leave Chelsea to other clubs to get quality playing time. Chelsea only needs a striker but I don't see any strong news about them going to look for a striker that they can depend on to keep their hopes of a top 4 finish high as it's not looking good for them. Garnacho is a very young player and need alot of playing time which he isn't going to get at Chelsea due to the depth of the squad that they already have. His career is going to slow down if he goes to Chelsea.

Garnacho is a good prospect with load of raw football talent but he's yet to get to his peak, i believe with the right manger that suits his pattern of play he'll excel, after watching him on several occasion in this 2nd section of the league i figured out that it would be quite tough for him to pick up, however Amorim is aware that patience would bring success in the future but he needs quick result, he only got few years left on his contract and Manchester United board might not be merciful if it gets to a point where he requires sacking, it would be sad if it gets to that point  cause Amorim is loved by lots of fans, they want him to succed and it would hurt them. Anyways I've heard rumores about Chelsea gling after Garnacho and it makes me wonder if they really need another wonger instead of a striker, Napoli are leading the chase for Garnacho, they've tabled two bills and Manchester United are yet to accept the offers unless they top it up. If there's any club to sign Garnacho it's most likely Napoli.

Khusanov Abdulkodir of RC Lens have been welcomed to Manchester City after a successful transfer was reached with a contract agreement which lasts until 2029. This news have been made official across several quarters and when the 20 year old defender was asked about this new development, he showed his gratitude to have gotten the opportunity to play under the Manchester City top team, appreciating the rare opportunity of being trained under the tutelage of one of the world-class manager like Pep Guardiola.

I think it was a fair deal for both the club and player to have secured a $40 million + deal with Manchester City under the age of 20 and to become the first Uzbeki player to land a Premier League deal and play in the Manchester City. He's the first to be signed by the City this year on the January window and will be playing Jersey No. 45 as a defender.

I have spoken to some Manchester United supporters and many of them seem to be excited about this move, for them it feels like a heavy burden dropped off their shoulders. This is a good move and beneficial to the player who has struggled to get playing time. Lol I will miss Anthony, who else will be spinning 360 with the ball.

Anthony Santos is one of the transfers made by Ten Hag that took some bucks out of Manchester United pockets but saw little effect at the end of the day. Anthony was bought into Manchester United on a deal worth over $100 million and while his stay in the club he got a couple of goals, but now the club needs more money and also needs to offset some burdens while it tries out on new players to come on board. I don't see the decision made by Amorim as wrong unless if he doesn't make better decisions thereafter.

Barca is also interested but their financial situation slow them down.

Finally, it's now being confirmed that Manchester United and Brazilian winger Antony will join Real Betis on loan till the end of the season. Personally, I think this is a good move for the former Ajax player because at Real Betis, he'll likely get playing time to prove himself so I expect him to use the remaining months of the season to improve himself so he can either be recalled by Manchester United at the end of the season or join another top European club when his loan deal is finally expired. What do you make of this move? Let me read your thoughts
True, this will be a very good decision because after all for now he will be very difficult to get a chance with Amorim so rather than being forced it would be better for him to seek new experiences in a different league because in the end the EPL seems too hard for Antony because he cannot develop better at Manchester United.

But at Sociedad also for now he still has to compete harder because after all in the same position for winger they still have several players including for Kubo who can always be relied on with his speed.

But indeed hopefully this will be a good choice and there is indeed such a possibility if you see from previous colleagues where Greenwood can play well in La Liga then hopefully Antony feels the same for his current loan period.

Let me read your thoughts about this move by Chelsea

Chelsea's strategy is to keep young players on hand and use the multi-club ownership plan to their advantage. Mamadou Sarr wasn't just signed at random; he's part of a bigger plan to build value and secure long-term choices. BlueCo owns Strasbourg, so this deal isn't just about adding to Chelsea's defensive strength; it's also about making money and giving players more game time in a place where they can grow. Keep an eye on the numbers: He went from being bought by Strasbourg for €10M to being sold for €14M in just one year. He's already made €4M before he even kicks a ball at Stamford Bridge

Plus, Chelsea's defense is strong with Fofana, Colwill, Chalobah, Badiashile, Disasi, Tosin, and many more. But injuries do happen. Fofana has a history of getting hurt, and Chalobah hasn't exactly locked down a spot. Sarr could be the next Colwill. He is being trained at Strasbourg while Chelsea decides who to keep and who to sell. Remember that this club spent more than €600M in one window; it's clear that they're planning ahead

in what would be described as one of the strangest transfers of the January window, como have finally announced the signing of former Tottenham Hotspur and England star dele alli. The 28 y o midfielder, once rated among the brightest talents in England, is about to start a new life of his own amid the beauty of Lake Como, Italy.

how did Alli end up at como it’s a remarkable journey. the talented midfielder has been without a club since June 2024 after a turbulent spell that included lack of form and game crash at everton and besiktas. but como who are now managed by ex-Arsenal and chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, have handed Alli a chance to revive his career.

como’s contract details reflect his belief in Alli’s potential revival. the club offered him an 18-month contract until June 2026, with an option for a further year based on appearances.

this construction allows some degree of security for Alli as well as the incentive to regain his best form.
I’m surprised to learn that Dele Alli is just 28 years old, I have always thought he was 30+, what a surprise he still has some years left to play then. Good thing the former Arsenal player has discovered him and offered him a chance again to revive his career. I hope this signing helps him revive his career as expected. He is one player I admire so much in his time with Spurs, it’s quite unfortunate that things went bad for him. I really hope he comes back stronger and better.

So much speculations about Arsenal's intention to get a good striker because depending on Kai Havertz has proved to be unproductive. He lacks confidence which might be the cause for his constant misses and the ACL injury suffered by Gabriel Jesus has complicated the matter.

The January transfer window opens from January 1st and closes by February 3rd, time is running out for the Gunners. There have been named like Nico Williams, Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak, Victor Osimhen and Liam Delap as transfer targets but none have materialised.

Benjamin Sesko will be difficult to get except Arsenal is willing to break the bank. The Slovenian professional footballer is also under the radar of Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona.
That happens even since last summer window. Arsenal often linked to the many strikers, but there has been no concrete movement from them. I just abandon any rumors that linked them to the various strikers. Enough to see how Arteta never had intention to replace Havertz and Gabriel Jesus with a pure and reliable striker.

That's why they're always getting stuck forever. They're not a serious club.

Finally, it's now being confirmed that Manchester United and Brazilian winger Antony will join Real Betis on loan till the end of the season. Seriously a good move for him at moment, he lacks confidence and only more playing time will actually help him get that back. I kind of like the fact that he rejected many clubs offer because he wanted to play in the top league and not some less competitive league. Spanish football is one place I have always think his slicky football can flourish, playing for this less pressured Betis side is also a good guide. This is actually one of the best ways to go the media radar for now, I think if he makes good use of this Loan there is high probability he might FDV himself back again.

Will he be back at Manchester United if he gets a stellar loan performance? Personally i don’t think so because the way Manchester United are looking at cutting costs it will be really easy for them to cash in on him and get other players most especially as he doesn’t looks like someone who fits Amorim pattern of playing
