Daily mail has revealed that Manchester United has been in talk with Xavi Hernandez over 10 days now. It appears that it is more obvious that Manchester United needs a new coach after ETH has gone 7 matches winning only 1.
The Catalian legend is among the top priority of Manchester United. While many argue that Xavi is not a better coach than Erik Ten Hang, I have a huge confidence in Xavi. He really did some nice job inCamp Nou even with limited funds. However, he has his own weakness which is inability to play well in European competition. But the introduction of a new coach in Manchester United will change many things for the club.
When I saw this report earlier today, I felt Manchester United management doesn't actually know what they want. Xavi Hernandez during his time at Barcelona did amazing job but I feel he's not the kind of manager that's needed to improve Manchester United current form. There are a lot of available managers who I think are more experienced than Xavi Hernandez at the moment and are more tactically fit to handle the club. But if at the end Xavi Hernandez gets the job, it'll be a better option for Manchester United than their current manager Erik ten Hag

This is something often seen with Manchester United management with some of their coaches, though Ten Hag own has been much special, I guessed they have been blinded by his past two trophies and couldn't realised that Ten Hag socks in the Europe and EPL.

Nobody did really pressure him until now when he had been the one choosing the players he signed and till now there haven't been much changes. Though the fact that he's still backed by the Management, if humble himself and try to do better maybe he can turn things around with time since we can agree that there have been a notably improvement in Onana and Harry Maguire.
It's not enough, the improvement is small and not yet enough to fight against top teams. Onana and Maguire are currently in their prime ages, so I don't think they will make a big change if Manchester United keep them. Manchester United still need to find better players to replace them.

Ten Hag need to be sacked ASAP or he will ruin the team more.
While they need to be thinking of replacement for Harry Maguire, who's currently age 31,Andre Onana still has many more years to spend at Manchester United since he's still 28 years and may even be able to remain after a decade if he can be consistent and continue with his form, just every other top goalie in their late 30's now.

Ten Hag has ruined the team most especially from the fact that, he has spent a lot on players and still nothing as change , while majority of the players has failed to meet up to expectation, not forgetting they were often bought with a high fee, they don't really worth. This is the part I think the next coach coming to replace him will suffer from more, since I wonder where they will see funds to get the players he wants or team who will even sign some players in a cut off price of a loss.

Ain't that obvious for you to see from the time of Van Gaal, Jose Mourinho,  Ralf Ragnick and Ole? Being a Manchester United player and manager comes with a lot of pressure and responsibilities,  you don't know this until you're in the club. Right now all these you're spreading should be seen as complete rumours, Manchester United hierarchies have not communicated such a news or strory, and if they was to sack Erik Ten Hag, Thomas Frank will not be a good upgrade and replacement  for him. The last game they played saw how EtH outplayed Thomas Frank tactically.

Wow, I see you still believe in Ten Hag  Grin I remember you defended him last season, but it seemed impossible to continue doing so now. Whatever local "victories" he may have, it is obvious that United are underperforming.
It seems to me that literally any replacement will be no worse than what we have now under him. Even if we fire Ten Hag and put Nistelrooy in until the end of the season, it won't be worse.

So far there has been no official decision from Guardiola whether he will leave or stay at Manchester City later, but instead the speculation that circulates as if claiming that he will leave Manchester City later, many names that are considered suitable to replace Guardiola are certainly starting to come to the surface at the moment and Alonso is one of them, I don't know where the source who associates Alonso with Manchester City at this time,  Even though as we know if previously he has said that Liverpool, Munich and Madrid are the top priorities for him when leaving Leverkusen later, in terms of game, tactics and also philosophy Alonso indeed has similarities and will facilitate his transition in coaching Manchester City, but now Manchester City should also have an alternative other coach if they fail to get Alonso.
Guardiola's contract with Manchester City will expire in the summer of 2025, so this season is his last season if you look at the existing contract. Speculation about Guardiola leaving is actually something that I myself am not surprised about, because from several names of clubs that he has handled, he will soon leave the club after he feels satisfied with the achievements he has presented. During his time handling Manchester City, he has presented many titles, and among them is the Champions League title that Manchester City has always wanted. So this is a success that may also be an achievement that will end the cooperation between Manchester City and Pep Guardiola.

In terms of quality both of them are nothing different, both are always enter Champions League and have a chance to become a champion.

I guess he would join Real Madrid because he was once a player and he's a Spaniard too, so it's a win-win situation.

If Manchester City not able to get Xabi Alonso, don't worry, at least they can get Ten Hag. Cheesy
I also think that if Xabi Alonso leaves Leverkusen he will definitely go to Madrid, because it is his first team. In fact, the other day he said that if Madrid needs him he will go immediately, and that is something he would not think twice about. Therefore, I think that it is unlikely for City. If Pep leaves City, wow, it would be difficult for them to get another coach as good as him. In the case of Ten Hag, lol. Don't wish people ill. Lol.
Xabi Alonso once played for Real Madrid and achieved success there, Real Madrid was not his first team because he started his career with Real Sociedad then moved to Liverpool and at the start of the 2009-2010 season he moved to Real Madrid. Manchester City and Real Madrid are big clubs with various achievements, it is an honor for him because he is being fought over by big clubs from different leagues. He has yet to decide where he will go after leaving Leverkusen, with Manchester City keen to sign him as Guardiola's successor, but if he goes to the Premier League he will be facing a club he once played for and that would be a crucial moment for him.

Xabi Alonso has made a big name for himself in football, not only as a player at big clubs but now also as a coach and he has just started, he will be one of the young generation's big coaching names with time. He started his coaching career just a few years ago as a Real Madrid youth coach in 2018 and has built a good name in coaching. The guy must be exceptional and lucky judging by how many good retired footballers are failing as a coach and no doubt that every club wants him now. His move from the Real Sociedad B team to Leverkusen in 2022 was an excellent choice and he was able to win the Bundesliga after coaching a full season to beat the likes of Bayern and Dortmund. I pray he is consistent in this coaching journey, but he might want to spend more time in Leverkusen than people thought even though Leverkusen is now in doubt but his contract still extends to 2026.

It would be natural if Alonso's name was associated with Manchester City, Alonso only has to continue the legacy left by Pep Guardiola. Yeah, that is if Pep does not extend his contract with Manchester City. We believe that even if Pep has chosen his future, he will not say it that quickly. Just because of some of his statements regarding wanting something new, many sports media reported that Pep will soon leave City. In addition, Pep has also expressed his desire to coach a national team. So, wild speculation in many news reports has become a rumor in the world of football. If there is a rumor or issue that reports that Alonso will be Pep Guardiola's successor at City, that is natural. Because, he was able to bring Leverkusen much better. Although Alonso once made a statement that the former team he once defended would be his next destination. However, if the offer comes from City and Alonso is ready, it could happen. It's just that, for now we just assume it's just an issue. After all, Pep Guardiola never made a statement before this season ended. perhaps, he will extend his contract even if only for one season. what is certain, Pep is focused so that his team can defend the Premier League title again and maybe they are serious about prioritizing the Champions League trophy.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Rumor has it that Man City are also preparing a possible replacement for Pep Guardiola, and the right person right now is Xabi Alonso. He has a game with a clear system and is quite capable of identifying the abilities of the players as he did with Leverkusen. The problem is that Madrid is also interested in Xabi Alonso, so I hope the hunt for a coach must be taken seriously, especially Madrid who seem lazy about the future of the coach. I don't doubt Ancelotti but we also need to see with quality players like Vini, Mbappe, Rodrygo, Valverde, Bellingham etc. there must be a coach who is able to provide an effective game system.

Manchester City will need a replacement for when Pep Guardiola leaves the club. I think it is wise that Manchester City is preparing for the possibility that Pep has had enough of the Premier League and may be leaving the club next year. The only problem is that Manchester City are not the only club interested in Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid are also in the race for the manager. And I don’t think Xabi will pick Manchester City over Real Madrid for obvious reasons.
With this rumor, it is likely that Man City has monitored several coaches on their radar, if for example Xabi rejects the offer then another option must exist if Pep Guardiola really leaves.

Until now we don't know the list of coaches chosen, and maybe Xabi is the top priority if there is really such news, but the Premier League is a tight league so Xabi must be able to adjust in this league.

Guardiola's distinctive feature is that he is completely focused on what concerns his team in the near future, now he says that De Bruyne and Walker will not return to the game this Saturday, according to Keevan, it is not even known when this might be possible. By the way, if City do not lose the game with Southampton, they will celebrate two years without defeat in the Premier League. And Guardiola does not comment on the possible departure from the team in the summer, I think that he himself has not yet decided on this.

Xabi Alonso would be very happy if he is called upon by Real Madrid to manage the team, because that is every coach dream.

In sports, nothing is certain. Xabi Alonso might be having a good time in the Bundesliga and have nightmares in the English Premier League. I also do not know the source of the rumour that Pep has plans to move out of Manchester City. The only news I heard was that the English FA wanted him to take over the Three Lions. And he turned down the offer. For now, he is focused on winning more trophies for the Cityzens. I might not be correct, but Pep might be enticed to coach a country because he has won everything at the club level. Maybe winning the Euros or the World Cup might be a better motivation.

Meanwhile, the Bayer Leverkusen coach is enjoying his stay in the club after turning down job propositions from Bayern Munich and Leverkusen. The next moves of these two great coaches will become clearer after this season.

After Bayer Leverkusen stated that they are ready for Xabi Alonso's departure next summer, there has been a lot of speculation about Xabi Alanso's future. Currently, Alonso is a strong candidate at Real Madrid and Man City, but what is most visible at this time is that Man City has shown real interest and is preparing for the possibility of Pep Guardiola leaving next summer, although Pep Guardiola has not yet decided his future with Man City.

From now until the end of the season, anything could happen to where Xabi Alanso will land. Maybe right now the issue is pointing to Real Madrid and Man City, but at the end of the season there will be a surprise that Xabi Alanso will go to Man United. So that possibility will definitely happen. Moreover, currently Xabi Alanso has become a top coach candidate, he has made an epic record with Leverkusen, and his decision was right to stay at Leverkusen for one more season to try the Champions League before he moves to another club.

Every coach will have more focused and clearer considerations when the end of the season approaches because at this time all coaches are preparing their focus and strategy to continue to bring the team they coach to the peak of better achievements. I also think it is very reasonable for Manchester City to recruit Xabi Alonso as Guardiola's successor because Xabi Alonso has also brought Leverkusen to become champions in the Bundesliga last season, which was quite a brilliant achievement for him as a coach.

Xabi Alonso also has strong ties to Liverpool which makes it even more difficult to consider a move to Manchester City. I’m sure Manchester City will do everything they can to convince Pep to renew his contract to avoid falling down the pecking order like Manchester United and Chelsea did. If Manchester City cannot get Xabi, they may turn their attention to Mikel Arteta. It’s a safe bet that they would be interested in a manager that has worked under Pep. But I don’t see him leaving Arsenal for Manchester City.

Since Manchester United is still about to get Ten Hag fired from this team and they are trying to find a new coach for this team there are some coaches linked with Manchester United to start working there in the next season.
Tuchel was their first option for Manchester United but this didn't happen however even Tuchel was interested in it.
Now it seems Thomas Frank the coach of Brentford is the next coach linked to Manchester United. However, he said he is not instead and he wants to stay in Brentford. It seems Working in Manchester United is more challenging for any coach to accept the risk for it.

As much I want Erik Ten Hag gone, this news is only speculations and is not concrete. Bloggers and other media outlets know Erik Ten Hag is a hot topic and how much people want him to be sacked so they use it as a clickbait to increase their views. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS have been very supportive of Erik Ten Hag and his process. It’s obvious that Erik Ten Hag has a great relationship with Manchester United hierarchy and they actually believe in him.

I think you forget that Messi is now 37 years old and plays in the MLS. Even if Argentina wins the Copa America, I don't think Messi will have a significant contribution to it.
In fact, Messi had contributed a lot by helping his club to qualify for the World Cup. He has even carried his club against Bolivia, that's also the reason for Scaloni to always put him in the main squad. And if he doesn't contribute, he won't start for Argentina.

Look at Inter Maimí's results without Messi - with the current squad, his absence was completely unnoticeable. A league like MLS can be dominated by a few top players from Europe, it's just a fact and Inter bought one such player for each line.
And let's not pretend that in a sport like football, shows and brands don't matter. Messi is a big brand and will be milked for a long time, although as a player (top level) he finished in Barcelona.

I partly agree, but for me he ended his career in Qatar in the World Cup final in 2022. Messi was a great player, but I don't think any team would be scared to play against him now. I would be surprised if he even plays in the 2026 World Cup.

Pep is very careful to answer questions about his future without giving the slightest hint, leaving only rumours to talk about, which in the end are not confirmed. After so many years as MC coach it seems to me that either he will extend his contract with the team in the end or take a break in his coaching career to take a break. Coaching such a big team all the nerves will be spent for such a long time

Pep has been coaching for many years and I think he might want to take at least a year off like Klopp. I truly hope that Pep will take charge of the England National Team and win the World Cup. Only a genius like Pep can lift the curse on the English. If he can win the Champions league and Premier league with Manchester City this season, I think Pep will leave the team and go on vacation for 1 year Cheesy
