In terms of quality both of them are nothing different, both are always enter Champions League and have a chance to become a champion.

I guess he would join Real Madrid because he was once a player and he's a Spaniard too, so it's a win-win situation.

I also think that if Xabi Alonso leaves Leverkusen he will definitely go to Madrid, because it is his first team. In fact, the other day he said that if Madrid needs him he will go immediately, and that is something he would not think twice about. Therefore, I think that it is unlikely for City. If Pep leaves City, wow, it would be difficult for them to get another coach as good as him. In the case of Ten Hag, lol. Don't wish people ill. Lol.
Xabi Alonso once played for Real Madrid and achieved success there, Real Madrid was not his first team because he started his career with Real Sociedad then moved to Liverpool and at the start of the 2009-2010 season he moved to Real Madrid. Manchester City and Real Madrid are big clubs with various achievements, it is an honor for him because he is being fought over by big clubs from different leagues. He has yet to decide where he will go after leaving Leverkusen, with Manchester City keen to sign him as Guardiola's successor, but if he goes to the Premier League he will be facing a club he once played for and that would be a crucial moment for him.

Yes, of course, he would rather go to Real Madrid, after all, Real Madrid has always been the most successful team. I do not doubt that Xabi Alonso will manage Real at some point.

Now the race to win  Xabi Alonso is almost down to only two giants Real Madrid and Man City. However, this still depends on how the two teachers Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola will calculate their future. Among them, champions Man City showed “real interest” in the 42-year-old former Spanish midfielder due to Pep Guardiola’s uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium. Real Madrid are also quietly monitoring Alonso's situation. Because Carlo Ancelotti still has a contract until 2026. If Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola still want to continue their careers with the team. Then we should not rule out the possibility that Mu and Bayern Munich will compete for Xabi Alonso's signature.

If Manchester City not able to get Xabi Alonso, don't worry, at least they can get Ten Hag. Cheesy

Wow, Ten Hag. MU is trying iMU best to keep him. It's really difficult to get him out of MU. Grin

I feel that performance and contribution level to the team is what decides that a coach has to go and not necessarily the age. So long as a coach can keep a viable technique on the pitch and produce good outcomes, age bias will disappear, apply to Ancelotti at Real Madrid. However, the scenario when Guardiola can wait until the non-renewal of Ancelotti’s contract, is not reasonable since the coach of Guardiola’s caliber will always attract the interest of many clubs who would be ready to approach him when he is available. As the schedule in the contracts in two teams are not corresponding to each other, the possibility to see such change remains low, more so if the topcoaches tend to seek new projects according to their goals and without waiting for the change of other coaches.
In other words, age is just a number, but the most important thing is the final result of his tenure which always gives positive results or at least can be seen consistently and can always maintain the stability of the team's performance.
From my prediction, Man City is very proud of Guardiola contribution and Man City has felt a lot of positive impacts since Guardiola joined the team. Surely Man City is trying to retain the coach to continue to get the best record in history.
And regarding Ancelotti, I think he will still be maintained and I am sure Ancelotti still has challenges with Madrid.

Since Manchester United is still about to get Ten Hag fired from this team and they are trying to find a new coach for this team there are some coaches linked with Manchester United to start working there in the next season.
Tuchel was their first option for Manchester United but this didn't happen however even Tuchel was interested in it.
Now it seems Thomas Frank the coach of Brentford is the next coach linked to Manchester United. However, he said he is not instead and he wants to stay in Brentford. It seems Working in Manchester United is more challenging for any coach to accept the risk for it.

As much I want Erik Ten Hag gone, this news is only speculations and is not concrete. Bloggers and other media outlets know Erik Ten Hag is a hot topic and how much people want him to be sacked so they use it as a clickbait to increase their views. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS have been very supportive of Erik Ten Hag and his process. It’s obvious that Erik Ten Hag has a great relationship with Manchester United hierarchy and they actually believe in him.

A very sensible choice and will certainly ensure Real Madrid becomes a worthy place for Xabi Alonso to lead. Because Madrid really needs a young, creative coach, who has a game system that can utilize the quality of great players. Ancelotti must eventually be able to let go of Madrid someday, let's say next season is also quite suitable to be replaced. Not because Ancelotti is no longer relevant, it's just that Madrid must continue to develop with the era of younger coaches.

So far we has been presented with rumors that say that Manchester United will look for a new coach, but in fact in the last few seasons INEOS has said that they still believe in ten hag and fully hope that ten hag will continue to coach Manchester United until the end of the season, if indeed what you say about Manchester United desire to replace the coach is true,  Of course it will be very good news for Manchester United fans right now, many of the coach's names have been linked with Manchester United before, Zidane, Rangnick, Pochettino and now Thomas Frank, but I think it will only be a desire and hope that is only fun but looks difficult to realise in the near time.
The rumours about Ten Hag and Manchester United is mostly came from media speculation that if Manchester United lost from the paricular matches then those media has starting to speculate Ten Hag will be sacked but in fact until today Manchester United management is still fully trusted to Ten Hag and about Thomas Frank he has been refuse the possibility to replace Ten Hag position and train Manchester United

Why Thomas Frank saying that because he was very comfortable to train Brentford and indeed probably he would find new challenge and moved from Brentford someday but in the near future Thomas Frank don't have any plan to leave Brentford besides that i think Thomas Frank is not suitable to train Manchester United because he is lack of experience to train big team

I think you forget that Messi is now 37 years old and plays in the MLS. Even if Argentina wins the Copa America, I don't think Messi will have a significant contribution to it.
In fact, Messi had contributed a lot by helping his club to qualify for the World Cup. He has even carried his club against Bolivia, that's also the reason for Scaloni to always put him in the main squad. And if he doesn't contribute, he won't start for Argentina.

Look at Inter Maimí's results without Messi - with the current squad, his absence was completely unnoticeable. A league like MLS can be dominated by a few top players from Europe, it's just a fact and Inter bought one such player for each line.
And let's not pretend that in a sport like football, shows and brands don't matter. Messi is a big brand and will be milked for a long time, although as a player (top level) he finished in Barcelona.

Hmmm, agreed, but Messi still contributes a lot to his club. His name boosted the reputation of clubs and attracted some great players to join. I don't think inter would be as good as now without him. And in game performance, he made 20 goals in total, which is a lot, and he has only a 7-goal gap toward Suarez's total goal. Inter could do better if he was not absence due to the injury.

Despite his big brand, we can't deny he's among the best, and his big brand came from how smart he was on football. At his age, he still sets new records.

Ain't that obvious for you to see from the time of Van Gaal, Jose Mourinho,  Ralf Ragnick and Ole? Being a Manchester United player and manager comes with a lot of pressure and responsibilities,  you don't know this until you're in the club. Right now all these you're spreading should be seen as complete rumours, Manchester United hierarchies have not communicated such a news or strory, and if they was to sack Erik Ten Hag, Thomas Frank will not be a good upgrade and replacement  for him. The last game they played saw how EtH outplayed Thomas Frank tactically.

A good emotional relationship with his former club may influence Xabi Alonso decision in the future. His chances of joining Liverpool seem to be closed, because Arne Slot performance so far has been quite satisfactory. Real Madrid still looks quite comfortable with Ancelotti, and the Italian manager contract will only end in June 2026. Manchester City is a promising prospect, but so far Pep Guardiola has not given any signs regarding his future at the Etihad.
In my opinion, Bayern Munich also seems to be considering Xabi Alonso, where last season they failed to recruit him, especially if Kompany fails to achieve the targets set. Xabi Alonso himself is still under contract until June 2026 with Leverkusen, it is possible that he will continue to stay at BayArena until his contract ends.

MU will have a problem when choosing a coach. Many coaches don't want to train MU because the official is hard to compromise. they just obey their will without thinking how to development the club. They are just businessmen, they just think for profit and don't know how the football industry works. they impose their will without hearing their fans. I think what MU should do right now is how to replace and change the owner.

His contract will expire in June 2026 it is still too early to talk about it now because we do not know what decision Carlo Ancelotti will take later, but I think if he leaves Real Madrid maybe he chooses to retire and take a break because he has achieved a lot so far as a coach and his age is also getting older he certainly does not want to be under pressure all the time, indeed he has never coached a national team but last season he was offered but he preferred to continue serving Real Madrid and I think at this time he is not so interested in coaching a national team.
Actually, at the end of last season, there were also rumors that Ancelotti had reached an agreement with Brazil, but the rumors were broken after he signed a one-season contract with Real Madrid. Now we don't know what his future will be like, especially since the league has just started and it will still be a very long journey for him to finish the rest of his contract. However, I think maybe he will really join Brazil after his contract ends, because Brazil itself is in need of a figure who can bring them back up after they have been slumping in the last few years. Ancelotti has good capital to coach Brazil, because he also knows very well several players who are currently his players.

I'm sorry, but how do we expect to see Ancelotti leave Real Madrid for another team like Brazil? Ancelotti is happy in Real Madrid, and he has the chance to earn many achievements there. Also, they will give him enough money to hire any player he wants, just like they hired Mappe for Real Madrid.
Now people think Ancelotti will work in Brazil but they fact about Ancelotti is he cannot even join Brazil because they want to have a Brazilian coach, not Ancelotti.

Age does not determine the level of performance of a coach in managing a team, but Real Madrid need to think long term to secure a coach with the best quality. Ancelotti could be able to handle Real Madrid for the next two seasons, but Real Madrid also need to think about how to get a coach like Pep Guardiola. At the moment it is difficult for Pep Guardiola to become the coach of Real Madrid because he is still focused on Manchester City, but who knows for next season because he also did not rule out the possibility of leaving Manchester City.
No doubt that Carlo ancelotti has proven to everyone that he is made for real madrid and only the way he has been successful at the club speak volume of how good and suited he is for real madrid, but right now, it's very much true that retirement of his glorious coaching career is very close, which I believe might come at the end of his present contract at the club, but the question here is who is suites to take real madrid forward?

Though you made mentioned of pep guardiola which truly is the kind of top manager that can handle real madrid, but his affiliate with Barcelona will definitely not bring this deal to reality, so in my own opinion, I think that the ideal person that can take real madrid forward after carlo ancelotti is xabi Alonso, the current manager of Bayern Leverkusen, he has already proven in his short coaching career that he has what it takes to lead a top team, so I believe that he is the ideal man to take real madrid forward after carlo ancelotti.

Well, now think about it, Ancelotti is now 65 years old and if his contract at Real Madrid ends in 2026 he will be 67 years old, I know that age does not determine a coach to stop but doesn't a coach also need time to rest in his old age? and too much pressure is also not good for health, coaching big clubs has very big challenges, coaches will always be under pressure in all situations, even during big matches, he does have great tactics as a coach and I like his coaching style but I don't think he will spend his old age as a coach, yes if he will give good results in his old age but if he can't give good results until the time he retires it will only make the reputation he has built will decline it would be better if he retired when he achieved his last achievement as a coach then he will be remembered as a great coach forever.

It has nothing to do with being stupid on Liverpool's part. The only thing they can do is offer him more money than Real Madrid will offer him.
I think my previous post makes it clear what I refer to by "being stupid". But yeah, if they fail to get any money out of him then it's a huge mistake. I wonder if their transfer team failed to account for interest from other clubs hence why they don't sort out his contract situation asap. While we don't know the full details behind the scene I think it's fair to say they're being stupid if such things happened.

He is world class and he has the attritubes that Real Madrid is watching out for. Could be a promising change for him.
Yeah, it's hard to see him fail in another club. That being said, good players who want to win trophies and move to other clubs aren't always successful. Let's see where he will end up.

Sorry but I still don't get it. If a player signs a 5-years-contract and that contract one day is due to expire and the player refuses negotiations altogether or rejects any offer being made, what options do you have despite being the smartest club in the world perhaps? If Alexander-Arnold's dream is to play for Real Madrid, smartness doesn't get you anywhere. There is only one way and that is the Saudi Arabian way: offer him 50 million a year. But they won't do that because that would entail a lead by example situation that teaches other Liverpool players how to squeeze the club like a lemon in the future. You have to have thresholds that you are not going to cross, no matter who the player is.

Pep and Ancelotti are two great coaches who have recently been much discussed regarding their future with each team, they are much talked about about contract extensions and for Pep he might still be able to stay with Manchester City but for Ancelotti he is indeed old and is unlikely to last much longer in the future.
For Pep himself, I still curious about how it will continue whether he will be Manchester City coach in the long term or one day leave and be able to coach another big team like joining Real Madrid when Ancelotti decides to retire or leaves the coaching seat there.
Manchester City will have hard time finding coach like Pep if he leaves and when Real Madrid can get Pep then that is good news but what about Zinedine Zidane who is also rumored to be able to replace Ancelotti.
Is age one of the factors for the coach to leave the team?
Now we think again as long as the coach is still contributing to the right strategy and creates good performance, even though he is old, he will still be maintained. So that Ancelotti life will not be a problem as long as it can still provide positive results for Madrid.

And the next statement about Ancelotti who will leave and the empty seats that will be filled by Guardiola, will not make sense.
In logically Guardiola contract will end in the 2025 season, while the Ancelotti contract period will end in 2026. Well, it is impossible for Guardiola after the contract is running out he will only wait for the departure of Ancelotti and of course there is another team that offers Guardiola offer.

I am sure Manchester City will continue to keep Pep on the team. He has a long-standing bond with the team and it does not seem like this bond will end easily. Xabi Alonso is a manager who has a close bond with Real Madrid. He loves them with all his heart and he can leave as soon as an offer comes, but whether Ancelotti will leave the team is a big question mark because he has a contract and I do not think he will leave the team.

The question I asked myself about this Pep replacement is that who is going to be his replacement. Xabi? Where is Leverkusen staying this season or they want to use a season to hype him so he can get to a better place? Nobody, I repeat coach right now in any European team that is good as Guardiola right now because with Haaland or not, his impact can't be forgotten in Premier League and the way that club is, they don't kick players anyhow not talk of the coaches.

If Manchester City keeps winning the trophy even if it's not back to back but win a season and skip a season, they will not change him unless he decides to leave because nowadays it's even difficult to see a coach that can do that, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool are still struggling to win just the Premier League and no Champions league for long time but Guardiola has done that in recent years.

Apart from Pep Guardiola that if he agrees to coach Real Madrid, they're going to be an unstoppable force due to the qualities of players that they have currently. But I don't think Peep Guardiola will ever betray Barcelona to coach Real Madrid therefore Ancelotti can't leave yet although the Brazil teams needs a manager of his quality. He should stay more years at Real Madrid and develop the current squad into a more stronger team. After he has done that then he can decide to pass the role to a new manager. Having a new manager now can make the team to scatter as the new manager will want his own players that he trust to play according to his style.
Pep Guardiola is currently in charge of Manchester City and there are rumors that the manager may leave Manchester City for another club, but it certainly won't be Real Madrid. Pep Guardiola's strategy is different, he changes the team ok but he takes charge of a team that has a lot of potential and a team that is trying hard but can't succeed in a major tournament. Real Madrid is already a big team and a manager who can easily win major tournaments for this team will definitely not want to take charge of this team.
Ancelotti is already in charge of Real Madrid and has been rumored for a long time to move to Brazil but he has extended his contract with Real Madrid.

At the end of the current season, it will be seen whether Ancelotti extends his contract with Real Madrid or signs a new contract with Brazil.
The lastly rumor that is developing Pep Guardiola was linked with the England national team, but the issue disappeared after the FA appointed Thomas Tuchel as their new manager. With his contract at the Etihad approaching its end, Pep Guardiola has not given any certainty regarding his future, whether he will stay or leave. Another option, maybe the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager will decide to take a break. Besides that, in my opinion, because of the rivalry and respect for his former club Barcelona, it seems impossible for Pep Guardiola to dock at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Every manager has their own characteristics and standards in choosing a club they want to coach, in general they choose because of the emotional connection and the suitability of vision, apart from the amount of salary offered. Regarding Ancelotti, his contract will not end until June 2026

Pep is very careful to answer questions about his future without giving the slightest hint, leaving only rumours to talk about, which in the end are not confirmed. After so many years as MC coach it seems to me that either he will extend his contract with the team in the end or take a break in his coaching career to take a break. Coaching such a big team all the nerves will be spent for such a long time
