How do we choose which exchangers to add to the listing?

We receive quite a lot of requests for adding exchangers to the monitor BestChange. We, in turn, put forward strict requirements that the service must meet. Users’ safety is a priority.

Here are just a few key parameters that BestChange pays attention to when making a decision.

✅ Long term of a successful work — six months minimum. There can be exclusions, for instance, if the exchanger was launched by a famous exchange or another service.

✅ The functionality of the website must include an order form available without registration, an affiliate program, and a full-fledged English version.

✅ Total reserves must be no less than 10,000 USD.

✅ Protected HTTP connection.

✅ Specified contacts of the website creators.

In some cases, we ask the owners for identity verification.

✅ Design or name must be unique and not copy the already listed exchangers to not confused the users.

Every listing application is thoroughly manually checked. We do not work with exchangers that have a bad reputation on the internet. You can analyze them yourself — click on the number of reviews in the table for selecting an exchanger and you will get on its page and learn more detailed information including the term of work and the country of registration.

this discussion https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.60898308 started me thinking about another potential misuse of your trust rating system.
coinshop24 exchanger has many positive feedbacks, sound fine for them. but as far as possible, are all reviews in Russian? even those from Germany, England, Sweden or Poland (at least that's what your IP detection says). Honestly, I'm sure a VPN is used for this, and probably all feedback was made by their coinshop24 team.
do you have a way to manage this kind of fake feedback?

Of course. We track about 20 different parameters for the left reviews in order to eliminate the majority of possible violation. It’s a closed list for everyone except our team, and it is quite problematic to find the connection by random guessing. Moreover, in separate cases we can conduct a linguistic analysis if the moderators get suspicious while not having direct proof of the review having been ordered.
We don’t exclude that a small portion of relatively
We do not exclude the possibility of some small share of relatively reliable commissioned reviews getting into publication, we do have over 1,13 million reviews in the database, it is impossible to thoroughly check them all. But any evident lie will be fully removed by our moderators very soon after finding out suspicious regularity, rest assured.
As for the suspicious activity due to the usage of VPN, unfortunately, this is a negative trend in the countries where most of the Russian speaking users reside. But we will continue to track a dozen of other parameters which are hard to fake simply by proxy or VPN, that’s why all the new reviews will also be as thoroughly checked as before.

coinshop24 exchanger has many positive feedbacks, sound fine for them. but as far as possible, are all reviews in Russian? even those from Germany, England, Sweden or Poland (at least that's what your IP detection says).
It looks like a feature, not a bug. Try changing the ".ru" into ".com": https://www.bestchange.com/coinshop24-exchanger.html: it shows mostly English but also some other languages.

Thank you for clarification. Indeed, English-language (and other ones) are collected on .com version of the website, while Russian ones (and a part of other Slavic languages) are collected on .ru / .net versions of the website.
Although examplen’s question was more to do with a large number of Russian-language reviews being published with IP of other countries.

I tried the faucet and they use hCAPTCHA as anti-abuse protection. I tried it with Tor Browser and i got really difficult CAPTCHA (i need to draw bounding box around an object). I give up after they showing 3rd image.

yes, I tried it, seems very complicated for the 2 satoshis I got  Cry
I still think that a faucet is placed on a website just to boost visits and traffic in order to influence a better google ranking.
After reading here about faucet I also try in last four days and strange I have only 36 Satoshi from my 34 tries, surely just waste of time if they are giving only 1 or 2 Satoshi.

Are you using some kind of cookies for this, or we can use different browsers including Tor to solve captcha and receive sats to the same bitcoin address?
There is no need to use the same browser, the linking is specifically to the address. But bear in mind that we use advanced algorithms of tracking suspicious activity for protections against the scripts of autoclaimers, and a frequent change of a browser is one of the factors because of which the system will automatically reduce accruals to minimal possible – 1 satoshi.

On a different subject, what is happening with improving your feedback system and negative reviews? Any changes or you are still using same stuff like before?
I honestly don't see any changes on my end.

The task is already with our developers, and it has been described, but not implemented yet due to a large amount of functions it will affect. We will certainly inform about the changes when they happen in a separate publication/

— From 1 to 100 satoshi will be credited to your internal balance. You can try again in 60 minutes.

And if we are talking about the real state of things, then from 1 to 10, I tried to farm yesterday and got the following results: 1-2-4-2-2-3-1-2. I think this parade of numbers will continue. You can't even dream of any double-digit values. Faucet gives out very little satoshi.
We never mentioned “normal distribution” for the system of satoshi distribution, but the chance to receive double-digit accruals is still very high. There are lots of topics on the internet where users share their success. For example, https://mmgp.com/threads/bestchange-com-btcfaucet.475808/page-64

Of course, they receive such amounts not at every claim, they stably receive them. The thing is there are lots of claimers and at some point, the system can debit small amounts only because of the fact that accruals of all participants are linked together by the common formula. That’s why, even if you bring an army of bots to our faucet, the unscrupulous user will not benefit from this.

On the other hand, we don’t ask for anything in return. We don’t have ads, re-directing, trojans or hidden miners – all you need to do is to come, click and receive.

After you collect 2000 satoshi, you can withdraw them, clicking the button «Request a payout».

A classic of the genre, a huge minimum amount for withdrawing funds with meager hourly payouts. The whole point of this faucet is only to attract referrals, without them there is absolutely no point in pulling this faucet for 1-4 satoshi per hour.
Alas, we have set this threshold due to specifics of blockchain. More frequent and small transfers will cause a DDoS-attack to the mempool and can paralyze not only the work of our faucet, but also harm the eco system as a whole.
As a compromise, we consider an option of integrating Lightning Network in our faucet to have an opportunity to send all accruals to the wallets and not accumulate them on the balance. But at the time being this idea is at the stage of discussions of conception, we are not sure that it will be implemented due to the low popularity of this Layer2-solution among the users of our faucet.

I tried the faucet and they use hCAPTCHA as anti-abuse protection. I tried it with Tor Browser and i got really difficult CAPTCHA (i need to draw bounding box around an object). I give up after they showing 3rd image.
Unfortunately, we have to set as hard as possible tasks for scripts, sometimes they annoy real users, but otherwise we will have to completely close the faucet, because abuse of it is enormous, and we want to give our bonuses away only to real people and not to bot army owners.

Bitcoin-faucet on BestChange.com

The world of cryptocurrency offers a lot of ways to earn. The easiest and the safest one is bitcoin faucet, one of which is placed on our website.

You don’t need to register, the address of your wallet is your account.

How to use it?
— In the bottom left of the page, select «Bitcoin faucet».
— Enter your Bitcoin-address.
— Solve the captcha to prove you are not a robot.
— Click «Claim bonus».
— From 1 to 100 satoshi will be credited to your internal balance. You can try again in 60 minutes.
— After you collect 2000 satoshi, you can withdraw them, clicking the button «Request a payout».

Select the wallet attentively — make sure the service doesn’t have limitations for crediting. Some popular service have limiting commissions — if you transfer an amount less that stipulated in the service rules to these wallets, then the service will take up the transfer. It won’t be possible to cancel or return the transaction, you will lose your savings.

I'm interested in the new policy of some of the top exchanges that exchange for Qiwi wallets. I myself use only this exchange direction in BestChange, and for several months now I have been observing strange behavior of exchangers. Let's say I change a certain cryptocurrency for Qiwi, exchangers even small amounts (for example, $ 200-300) are divided into several transfers (sometimes up to 5) and sent from different accounts to my Qiwi wallet number. Moreover, the breakdown amounts are absolutely random. Of course, the Qiwi security service does not like this and they begin to block such transfers for 48 hours. I haven't seen this before.

BestChange, you don't know why the exchangers presented in your aggregator started doing this?

Thank you for your question, Ratimov!

Exchangers can pay in different ways, we do not put limitations as to the number of transactions. Before an exchanger, you can find out on your own in the exchanger’s support how specifically the payments are made.

Things you need to check before exchanging your money

You’ll agree that you can only trust your money to such services that deserve this trust. We would like to elaborate on the criteria for choosing an exchanger and what role the monitor plays in it.

BestChange checks thoroughly every exchanger before adding it to the website and continues to watch its reliability and reputation. That’s why the risks for the user are minimal. To ensure their relations with the large monitor are smooth, exchangers try to solve the problems described in reviews timely.

Several lifehacks how to choose exchangers through BestChange:

If you see negative feedback, you can check whether the exchanger has reacted and if the situation is solved.

* Pay attention to the exchanger’s work duration. Usually, we do not include in the monitor services that have been working less than six months, but the longer the service has been working, the better.

* Pay attention to the available reserves — a large amount of money for all directions guarantees that the funds will be enough for everything.

The quality sign of an exchanger is it having passed through an additional check and is in possession of official registration. Please study this information, together with user reviews, the working state of the website, and the current rating on the monitor.

If you are choosing an exchanger yourself, without our help, we recommend you study at least three factors. Firstly, check if the service is listed on blacklists and read the reviews on them on independent platforms. Secondly, check the registration of the domain name on https://who.is/whois/. If the domain is only several days old, you should give the exchanger a wide berth no matter how attractive its rates are. Thirdly, the domain should not be placed on free hosting.

Be attentive, and have a great exchange!

How does the monitor help you save up?

If you exchange cryptocurrency and fiat frequently, then you must have chosen the one trusted for you. It makes sense, especially from the viewpoint of convenience. However, this approach does not always give the best results possible.

And if you don’t have a favourite exchanger yet, it is even more important to make the right choice. What do you need for that, first and foremost? Exactly, relevant information.

With time, any information becomes old, but with cryptocurrencies, this happens in an instance. The prices in exchangers in exchangers are made up of the current market exchange rate and the margin of the service itself. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, that’s why we can see such fluctuations of rates in exchangers.

!Using the monitor, you will always find the most profitable option to buy or sell, and as a result, you will significantly save up!

BestChange monitors and updates rates for all exchange pairs every second (there are more than 200 of them) and for all exchangers (currently there are around 250 of them). This guarantees that at any moment of time you can visit the website of the monitor and see the most profitable options for the currency that interests you.

We guarantee that all exchangers that you see in the list are working ones. We have strict requirements and after the listing, we carry on checking the services for compliance. We also recommend that you read reviews.

It is enough that the exchange could reply "Resolved!" to that comment. And if that response is fake, then the user can also reply.

This is exactly the principle they are working today, but the only thing that part of the users don’t like is the removal of the “red color” together with the writing “Resolved”. We are looking for a compromoise around this aspect.

I guess I'm with these users. Let the color remain to somehow remind other users of the track record of the exchange. If they wish to check further, they would know whether such issues are already resolved or not, and how quick.

By removing the red color altogether it would appear as if the exchange has a stellar track record. It could be misleading. An exchange that never had a red and an exchange with a hundred 'resolved' reds may look the same. That would be unfair. That would somehow defeat the idea of a transparent and honest review or feedback system.

obviously, the rating system is not well resolved, and the removal of comments by exchangers is not the happiest solution. maybe we could discuss here the possible best feasible solution for that.

You are misrepresenting the information a little bit. An exchanger cannot remove comments, they have a right to “lift the relevance” for a claim, and it will no longer be red, this is only it. But we are working on improving even this mechanism.

For example, I would introduce orange marks for conflicting but resolved trades. Also, maybe the red mark can have a time limit, so if the exchanger does not make any more negative "mistakes" within years or two(just for example), he will be removed. in theory, it can be considered accidental.

This is the creation of redundant entities, moreover, the way you are suggesting it, framing from competitors is very likely. In the future, we will fully renovate the systems of reviews, they will be created, considered and lifted based on completely different principles. But it will take a lot of time, the new mechanism will be launched together with the renewed design.

what you should definitely think about is the ANN thread here on the forum for all of your exchangers. So, in addition to all the conditions you set before them, force them to have a thread here as well as a communication channel. (I remember that it used to be a condition for every coin that wanted to be listed on CMC)
it can get you out of the awkward position of an intermediary.

This is a really cool idea! Our requirement to the exchanger has an item about having topics on some local Russian-speaking forums, but we need to widen this list by the local community. We will think about what sections we need to ask them to post their threads and will implement this rule in the future.

It is enough that the exchange could reply "Resolved!" to that comment. And if that response is fake, then the user can also reply.

@Best_Change, May I make a suggestion.

On the website, you may create an announcement section for exchanger listings and delistings just like what you see on exchanges (announcements for coin listings) rather than making partnership announcements only on Bitcointalk. This would be very helpful in knowing and tracking when an exchanger was listed and delisted not only to members in this forum but also outsiders who may not know about the partnership announcements here.

I see so many exchangers bearing the BestChange logo, but it's hard to know whether they were listed or delisted before. Some could just be scams using your logo.

Like in this example (Crypto-go.com), the exchanger even has a link embedded under bestchange logo, but it just leads to the homepage of bestchange
Link
Code:
https://www.bestchange.com/crypto-go-exchanger.html

If an exchanger was sometimes added to our monitor, even after its exclusion, its page will be available with a special mark “disabled”, for example:

Code:
https://www.bestchange.com/btcstaff-exchanger.html

Very rarely, in some exclusive cases, we can fully destroy the page of an exchanger in the listing (only our internal notes will remain), and the visit will lead to the main page of the monitor. But your case does not fit for this exclusion, we haven’t ever created a page for the specified exchanger, that is why you don’t see a record about it.
Regarding a separate list for the excluded exchangers or the websites awaiting the listing, we will think how we can implement it, and if it won’t damage our reputation or SEO. We will try to implement it, but can’t promise it.

I believe that all non-existent pages lead to the home page.
here there will always be exchangers who will present themselves as Bestchange's partner. I believe that few users check the truth of this statement before the exchange itself.

Exactly so. Although it’s hard for us to talk about the agenda of these services. Some services add a link to our monitor before listing and this is normal, this is one of the requirements to review the application. Another thing is if they openly proclaim partnership as if it has already happened, in this case this is certainly evil intention.

Hey bestchange is it possible to get our service added to your platform ? Thanks

Of course, we are always happy about the new partners. The details for minimal requirements and technical details can be found on the page https://www.bestchange.com/wiki/add.html
This page also has a link to the contact page with which you are advised to send your application. For the email subject, select “Adding a new exchanger” from the list and specify your website’s address so that the application lands in the relevant department.

For transparency's sake, why put expiry on negative comments? It is enough that the exchange could reply "Resolved!" to that comment.

as far as I have noticed so far, it is more than important for all exchangers to have a good reputation there. "Expired" as the possibility to clean up their biography will perhaps force them to work more carefully and treat new customers better within that certain period of time.

Of course, that's common sense. Exchanges will always try to have a good reputation. Their business is more or less founded on it. What's at stake with a good or bad reputation is their customers themselves, therefore, their revenue itself. That's why there should be a great transparency system. Reputation is that important. Exchanges would probably even go as far as take a negative comment down even if it's real just to make it appear that they have an untarnished reputation. So this feature shouldn't be there because it's against transparency. The same goes to expiration.

Let me bump this thread.

What do we conclude from the Openchange drama? I would say that BestChange needs to think about two much-needed improvements on its platform.

I think this isn't the first time that BestChange's review or feedback system is put into question. There must have already been a discussion on this sometime ago. It's just that I cannot remember if changes or improvements were made after that. But if the exchangers still have that ability to remove negative comments until now, then I guess not much has changed.

For transparency's sake, why put expiry on negative comments? It is enough that the exchange could reply "Resolved!" to that comment. And if that response is fake, then the user can also reply. If the exchange has greatly improved through the years, then that negative comment would be buried in positive comments. If nothing has improved, then similar comments would surface and a pattern is formed. But this is always good for the welfare of BestChange's clients.
