Thanks guys for your help

@64dimensions
Onboard display adapter is disabled on bios
+ I made a test with SMos instead of Win10 and all GPUs were recognisez. So it is a windows issue I think

@Aries
+1 for what ? you have a similar issue ??

Another RIG built on a similar small SSD 60gb is working fine with 7 GPUs , so I don't think it is a SSD size issue.
I'm open to any suggestions.

Talking about legendary z97 Gaming 5 , I have a little issue with it and maybe someone could help.

It is ETH mining only with claymore , and 7x rx470 and windows 10.
But no way to get DAG created for GPU one.
It's not GPU or riser related. I've changed both.
Every time I launch claymore, dag are created for n°1 to n°6 gpus but not for n°0
If I remove the gpu, I have 6 gpus plugged , and N°1 become n°0.
Well in that case, N°0 DAG is still not created and only 1 to 5 work , not the 0 one.

I don't know why , and don't what to try .

Any idea guys ?
At the moment I'm forced to plug a GPU in 0 slot and disable it with -di 123456 setting in claymore.. so Rig work fine but one GPU is not used..

I don't know this MB, but my 1st thought would be to check the MB settings, specifically anything to do with a on board display adapter.

Anyone ever get that itch to buy mining gear?
It's about to kill me waiting for vega!!!

I know what you mean, I've been waiting also to refresh all my rigs. Space/Power is limited for me so I have to go with full density all the way. If Vega doesn't turn out to be all that, then 1080's for all my rigs.

I had a chance earlier today to purchase multiple 1080's from newegg for only $369 each, but passed on that deal because Vega is sooo near!

the 1080 ti's do a lot of hashing.

I am at the point  that I will do the katana build
with four of them  and then have all  3 card 1080 ti rigs.  which are about 2000 sols for zec  at only 550watts at the k-watt-meter
I may do a 2 card 1080 ti with a katana as it will fit in the case and stay cool.

I set virtual mem range : from 16k to 32k
This is a small SSD (60GO) but 32gb are available.
Could it be the issue ?

4gb DDR as in my every other RIGS

Didn't try another driver as this one always worked for me in many rigs.

The strange part is I can only have 5GPUs working instead of 6 , but the system seems not overloaded as I can do 6 working GPUs instead of 7.
(the first one , GPU0 never display DAG done, and show of course 0 hashrate)

Skein or SIA or ZEC ?

I just bought one of these in the hopes that it can push 7 GPUs.  Thanks for the link!

if this is as good as the legendary MSI's 7-slot Gaming 5 older 1150-socket board... then I think we have a killer board here - a bit high end though... since you need DDR4 and 1151 CPU.

Mine for a Bit
three three card  rigs

I just bumped intensity up a notch to 26 on all three.  the i5 6400t cpus can do this  easy.

I  now do   140 core  0 memory 68% power  75% fans

7.7 to 7.9 gh for 9 1080 ti's  which is over 865 a card

The 1070 katana build is doing   some eth coin .

I am earning about 100 usd a day  on 2.3 kwatts of power

if I were all s-9's  I would have 23000 th   of hash for the same 2.3 kwatts

and I would be earning about 23 dollars a day

23 vs  100 = amazing

I think its time to keep a stash of ETHs .... at the way things are going... ETH (now 164$) ...rumored 1500 this time next year before POS thats a cool 10x.

ZEC aint too bad too at 215 bucks now.

IMHO, all this bad BIP148 talk is giving weight to the other BTC contenders especially ZEC (215$), XMR (35$), DASH (126$).

Btw, I tuned the 1080Ti and 980Ti 's Powerlimit all the way down in Afterburner -- these cards in multi-algo mode runs very very hot.

I believe in the short term ETH is a good investment; although, it will have a big drop off as soon as they stop the hard mining of ETH.   I think that a good longterm investment would be ETC.  I am invested in both.  Thanks for your insight.

Your choices can be,

Double mining with ETH and SIA with Claymore (You shouldn't lose speed at double mining) most profitable right now, and sell SIA on bittrex since price is kinda superior compared to polo. That's caused because polo closed SIA withdraws and yesterday bittrex added SIA.

Skein or Myr-gr

Zec

Choice is yours since all coins got pumped lately and are really profitable, hard to say.

yeah that board can do 3x 1080 ti's and 1x 1080  but needs 2 risers.

I prefer   3x 1080 ti's

note the foruth one is to the board on the right

this is now 3 cards 1 riser

after all my hyping up skein;  the hashrate on zpool has over tripled in the last week.... (just looked, actually more than 5x)  So I am glad that some people are finally coming around to seeing that everyone jumping on the same horse slows down the ride for everyone aboard.

Im curious on how profitability will flux because of the increase in hash.  I have always maintained the belief (though my own findings over the last year) that if pool hashrate grows beyond a certain point;  you don't feel the luck spikes near as much; and in the end;  overall profitability deltas down a bit.

but then again, the markets are in such a flux recently, that it's hard to distinguish ATM.  I did however love it when I was 10-30% of the pool hashrate for only 1Gh....   Those were some damned good profitable days.  And everyone was screaming about ETH and ZEC value dropping/diff rising.

DGB almost broke 1000 satoshis... which is unheard of.  a week ago it climbed to 100.....
AUR has been garnishing buy and hold support as well, so Skein keeps maintaining its high profitability.

When I start trying to max out the wattage I can safely consume at my home (power included free with my with rent), Ill be looking to underclock my machines just so I can fit more cards in play;  I think it should make it a little better to have more cards running slightly underclocked; than to have less cards running full-ham.

Phillip;

As a test, maybe take that 4 card rig, and split it into two instances of ccminer for 2 cards each....   I wonder if it would give you a little extra on the pool-hashrate-calculation side of things and increase profitability a little.

I.E.
First instance:
ccminer.exe -d 0,1 -i 26,26 -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:5033 -u BTC ADDRESS -p  Miner1Instance1,c=BTC,etc.....

Second Instance:
ccminer.exe -d 2,3 -i 26,26 -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:5033 -u BTC ADDRESS -p   Miner1Instance2,c=BTC,etc.....

In a few instances I was able to get a little more out of some rigs.  It also helps for shotty or high latency internet connections sometimes.  More data out sometimes helps push packets through the ISP's systems.  It was a big problem for me previously on my cellular connections.

YMMV though.

they are all 3 card rigs and I am running some sidehack usb sticks and some xmr on the cpus

Power is not the issue I can provide up to 48 amps of 240 power.
I am doing only 9-10 amps.

heat is a killer
and my power bill jumps from 9.7  cents net  to 18 cents net from june 1 to sept 30

but I may run one rig with 3 instance as 1 rig has 3 different 1080 ti's

Super sick been reading all your stuff!

Are you using risers in your 3 card rigs? If not what mobo is able to fit 3 cards with no risers? My asus I can only mount 2 gpu's in there currently have 2x1070's in there but I ordered 1080ti's because reading all your posts.

I use the biostar z170 with better cpus i5 6400t i3 6100t etc

no risers
1 galax katana
2 1080 ti's

June 5th correct?

Should be announced at Computex, May 30 - June 3rd Smiley

But then...

""Frontier Edition will ship with 16GB of HBM2 towards the latter half of June. You will see the enthusiast gaming platform, the machine learning platform and the processional graphics platform very soon thereafter. And so, we will be launching Vega across all the market segments over the next couple of months. ""

So...some time over the next couple of months...but is this a soft or hard launch with availability in stores in June?

I'll be buying a few more 1080 ti's while we wait Cheesy
