Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of Jadon Sancho likely to end after signing of Desire Doue

Quote
Paris Saint-Germain have won the race to sign French starlet Desire Doue and the move is likely to “end their pursuit” of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

Doue, 19, emerged as one of the hottest prospects on the market this summer with a host of Europe’s elite clubs expressing an interest in the Stade Rennais academy graduate, including United. A report relayed by The Peoples Person in May revealed Old Trafford executives had “initiated contacts” with the Ligue 1 side over a potential move for Doue following extensive scouting by the recruitment department.

Source: https://thepeoplesperson.com/2024/08/12/paris-saint-germains-pursuit-of-jadon-sancho-could-be-over-after-the-signing-of-desire-doue-283957/

What else can be expected from Sancho despite playing well for Dortmund for half a season and I think it is right for PSG to secure a deal with Desire Doue. I know PSG still have to look for other options for the attack line and I think they can recruit better players than Sancho with the financial strength they have.

Now at least PSG has no other problems and it is up to coach Luis Enrique to formulate the right strategy for the readiness of the future competition. Maybe there are still some adjustments because so far PSG has depended on Mbappe and now it is time for PSG to change the role of each player into an important part for a victory and not always depend on one particular player.

I used to not be a big fan of Luis Enrique, but I know that he has been through difficult times and that has made him a little more human, he sees things Differently and he sees the true value of his Players, not only in technical and sporting terms, but he also sees them in a more human way, and that's good, because now he gives them the true value of the players, he sees them, then from that point of view that many do not value, he sees experience, he sees youth and he puts them on a scale, yes, perhaps the best player has left him, but he has a team, one player does not do what an 11 does, so this is what the coach sees with more Sense.

Luis Enrique sends message to Manuel Ugarte after Manchester United transfer talks

Quote
Manchester United target Manuel Ugarte is one of three Paris Saint-Germain players who have been left out of training matches by head coach Luis Enrique, according to reports in France.

Erik ten Hag is keen for United to recruit a new central midfielder before the end of the summer transfer window and Ugarte has been identified as a top target.

However, United have been unable to reach an agreement with PSG this summer as the French club had initially held out for a €70 million (£58.9m) transfer fee.

Ugarte is also said to have made it clear to PSG that he wants to join United and has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League side.

If their target is limited to the France league then there is no need to sign any new players because with the team they currently have they will definitely write France and win the championship. But if they plan on Champions League tournament outside of this tournament then they must recruit good quality players. Earlier they wasted a lot of money now if they spend some money then that money will not go astray because the manager they have now will not hire any wrong player to their club. If the management gives Luis Enrique financial freedom then the current manager can make this team much stronger. But if there is a limitation in spending money then it will be very difficult for Luis Enrique to take this team to a good level.

Every teams ambition will not only be limited to the domestic league trophies only, but they’ll also want to fight for other competitions they’re participating in. Thinking or assuming that PSG should only sign good quality players because of the champions league may be wrong because even the players they have now, if not of the good quality they have, they might miss out of the domestic league title fight when they least expect just like what happened to Bayern Munich in he Bundesliga last season. So quality players should be signed and trained immediately in order to be used for the long prospects of the club because fighting to win the champions league is also an achievement for them and they should not joke but fight for it every season, they never can tell their lucky season to win the title.

PSG's pursuit of Osimhen seems to be over and they prefer other targets than Osimhen. Indeed, recruiting Osimhen until today is very difficult and that is why PSG seems to have given up and no longer wants to continue their interest. Long ago PSG repeatedly communicated for Osimhen's move from Napoli but Napoli's owner was very greedy to sell him at an unreasonable price.

So if PSG is out of the competition to win Osimhen, who will they target next to fill the main striker position? We know that even though there is Goncalo Ramos and Kolo Muani, PSG is still not satisfied and they want to continuously strengthen the depth of their squad so as not to lose results.

It's the same way they have no such plans to chase Jadon Sancho of Manchester United who we have recently seen different rumours about. I don't know if there'll be a shock transfer happening during the last days of the transfer window though, but right now? They do not have any interest going all out for Sancho. Victor Oshime right now toois most likely going to end up as a Chelsea player but we don't know yet, since Chelsea management are not even straight forward about what they want. They've just been beating around the bush when the main figure needed is Victor Oshime in the number nine position.

I also wonder and ponder when they'll let go fo Manual Ugarte. The lad has been pushing for a switch to Manchester United and had also rejected other clubs in the process. Paris Saint Germans are just being greedy and wouldn't want to slash down the price. Besides, he has been a player more on the bench than on the pitch. He would be a long term Casemiro replacement in Manchester United. Having together ahead of the new season would be a great idea.

Not only PSG, other teams are backing up with Osimhen’s bid because the Napoli managements don’t looks serious about the deal; they are putting too much money on player that was not in good form last season, although he is a good striker that have the ability to score plenty goals especially if he is playing for teams like PSG where the competition is not intense as the EPL, Laliga and Seria A.

If Napoli management wants to sell the player, they should be open for negotiations by cutting down their demand for the player because no team is willing to pay such huge amount for the player unless of any team from Saudi Pro League will come for the player. And going back to Napoli is not an option because Conte will not use him.
Osimhen performance declined drastically last season due to being affected by injuries, and overall Napoli also experienced a very severe decline. PSG seems to be worried about Osimhen injury history, therefore they are reluctant to meet the price set by Napoli for their striker, I think that is understandable. Financially, PSG can easily realize Osimhen transfer this summer, especially after their expenses decreased drastically after Mbappe departure. However, it seems that PSG also does not want to spend too much money on just one player, who may not be able to meet expectations even though he looks very promising.

The transfer window is still open for the next 15 days, PSG certainly has alternative plans to deal with Mbappe departure, either by recruiting new players or wanting to utilize the players who are already available. If we analyze it simply, PSG really needs a replacement for Mbappe on the front line, which can increase their chances of going further in the Champions League. However, if Enrique prefers to maximize the potential of Ramos and Muani on the front line, then the new era referred to by Nasser Al-Khelaifi is really underway. Changing the tradition of building a star-studded squad, then trying a new approach by building a collective squad with even talent within the team.

[...] Marseille is going to have first game tougher as they will be visited Brest who was at his best in last season and having spot into Champions League things could be entertaining in this game because this will give prediction about Marseille how their season will be.

Brest is not a terrible opponent for Marseille, their long history of meetings can be proof that Marseille is more dominant than Brest even though Marseille is playing away. Odds on this match are @2.8 for Brest & @2.49 for Marseille, not that far, last season was too scary for Marseille, but with new players coming in, Marseille can definitely win against Brest.

Although in head to head Marseille has a good winning record against Brest but at least, if only considering about their last five meetings at least Marseille is also not better than Brest. Moreover, last season also Brest was clearly better than Marseille but indeed, although Brest last season had good results compared to Marseille at least it cannot be used as a reference also Brest will be able to beat Marseille.

Because of course, with the players leaving and entering will make their performance also likely to have changes. Therefore, it still cannot be a guarantee for the home team to win and although Brest is still able to beat Marseille, it will certainly still be a difficult match for them in an early match like this.

When Napoli rejected PSG previous second offer for Osimhen, of course at that time PSG had decided to withdraw from the competition for Osimhen, PSG had very strong finances so far but it seemed like they were too selective and didn't want to be careless in buying Osimhen for more than 100 million euros, PSG squad has of course experienced a slight improvement after they brought in several new players in defense but instead their move to get strikers is very passive at the moment, Ramos and Muani are good players but I don't think if they will be able to replace the role who will be left by Mbappe next season.
Currently there is no definite news about the new striker that PSG will buy after they failed to get Osimhen, but in my opinion before the transfer market closes of course they will most likely still buy several new players, including strikers.

Messi has left PSG, Neymar has left, Ramos has left, Mbappe has left this season and I still consider this team to be one of the favorites in Ligue 1. So far, there is no team in this league that can overtake PSG in the title race. As in other seasons, next season too PSG will be at the top of the points table and they will secure the France League title.

Several players left PSG but we feel like maybe PSG will not plan any more with their team but they will definitely plan with the team. Earlier they used to build teams without thinking but now they think twice before making a deal because their club now has a quality manager.
Looking forward to a big deal from PSG, the deal will be a successful one.
Yes, it seems that PSG will no longer make a breakthrough by bringing in a number of big players like the last few seasons. PSG is still the favorite in League 1 and it seems difficult to compete with them even though they no longer have a player as great as Mbappe. Luis Enrique will also be more free to manage the team because there is no longer major intervention in the team like when Mbappe was still there.
If their target is limited to the France league then there is no need to sign any new players because with the team they currently have they will definitely write France and win the championship. But if they plan on Champions League tournament outside of this tournament then they must recruit good quality players. I don't think PSG will even find it easy to win their domestic league next season if they don't get a good striker in the team, may be overconfidence because of how they have dominated the league but looking out their performance in the league last season you could see a lot of errors which led to the losses they encountered in the league.

They will definitely want to win the champions League because they are participating in the competition and the coach needs to get more good players not like what they had in the past but Luis Enrique knows the quality of players he needs to have a good performance and competition in the champions league the management has to give him the finance to do a good signing if they want the club not to be knocked out in the the group stage.

I agree because looking at what is in the current PSG squad with their strength in terms of financial and individual players actually for Ligue 1 they are still quite luxurious and will still be difficult to compete with even though there is no Mbappe for next season but some players still have skills above average so for Ligue 1 actually it is very enough.
But of course the hope is not limited to that, PSG is currently one of the clubs that is still considered big, especially with its financial strength so they definitely still want more in terms of recognition and the Champions League is one way for them to be recognized.
With their strength now although it is still very good but I am quite sure it will not be enough because apart from players and coaches, there is experience which is another factor if you really want them to be in better condition. By looking at that, of course there must be several players who must enter in the transfer season this time which unfortunately they still haven't done.
Even I have to be agreed about this but PSG is never been work for their domestic workout usually they are having target to win Champions League but now in this season what is their tactics it's fascinating because no one having any idea about them with mostly their players are quality and can give them good results in early rounds of the Champions League but in last rounds they need to have good quality without this it's never been easy for them to go through for the good results.

But here maybe we will have some changes in January transfer window because currently things are not going as they are looking for so they can change their strategy in coming days after having good results into early rounds of this season with in domestic league no team will be challenge them.

Paris Saint Germain never has pressure every season, unless they are unlucky. I don't hope that with Marseille's strong squad they will win the Ligue 1 title, look at how they performed in 5 previous seasons, let me recap:

2019-20: Second place
2020-21: Fifth place
2021-22: Second place
2022-23: Third place
2023-24: Eighth place

From the data above we can see that there was chaos in their performance in their last season, even though previously they were at least in fifth place. And with the new structure & composition of the Marseille squad, i hope they can return to their traditions, well at least they will have to play in the Champions League in the 2025-26 season.
French Ligue 1 is mostly having unpredictable results even many big clubs are having troubling time as mentioned Marseille they have never been stable with in last season they are having troubling time and finished eight now in this season they are doing good work for having better performance even this all is looking promising but still we can expect anything solid from them because things can take changes without any prior notice.

Even we are having PSG on their weakest level but still no French club is able to challenge them and having create problems for winning title Marseille is going to have first game tougher as they will be visited Brest who was at his best in last season and having spot into Champions League things could be entertaining in this game because this will give prediction about Marseille how their season will be.

PSG has been confirmed that they will not pursuing Osimhen anymore because the negotiation between them and Napoli has been deadlock and seems PSG will switching their target to other players but until now i didn't see any news that they were linked to the striker from other clubs and the rumours about Osimhen now has been change that he was linked to premier league clubs Arsenal and Chelsea but i am not sure this could be valid news or not because we all know Napoli owner always set unreasonable price to Osimhen and this makes many clubs who interested to him has withdraw because too expensive

The latest rumours about PSG is currently they were attempts to gets Jadon Sancho from Manchester United even there is possibility Jadon Sancho will be swap to Manuel Ugarte but this is also still not certain and most likely only a rumour

But it turns out it's not as easy as you said, because PSG has to evaluate their team's performance. moreover, Mbappe has left. if PSG doesn't target the Champions League trophy, they will still bring in some players to fix their squad. either for team deficiencies, or to deepen the team. what is certain, PSG's goal is not just for one season ahead. that's why, some of the players they bring in are young players. in other words, they will plan for the next few seasons. while building the foundation of the PSG squad to be more solid, in the end their goal is to form a PSG that is much more ready than the previous PSG. as for the steps that PSG is currently taking, IMO, they have done it right. it doesn't mean that PSG can't afford to pay Osimhen's clause for example, but now they are more calculating before making a decision. after all, if Enrique is given financial freedom and brings in expensive players, there is no guarantee that PSG will immediately be able to win the Champions League competition. well, it seems like they have learned and may follow the style applied by Manchester City management. before targeting the UCL trophy, City made sure their team was worthy to compete in the event. proven, City has always been one of the favorite teams. the point is, PSG must reorganize their team before they are really ready to target the Champions League trophy.

I don't think it will happen, at least this season. Barcelona have surprisingly managed to bring in Dani Olmo from Leipzig. It seems like Barcelona are trying to build an Olmo-Yamal-Williams trident. They have already got two players. I don't know what their chances are of getting Nico Williams, but I'm sure PSG won't get Yamal because Barcelona won't let him go even if they want to break the record for the most expensive player purchase in history. Currently, none of the rumors regarding a new PSG striker have come true. Luis Enrique must know that they are losing their best player and it will affect their performance in the UCL. Because I'm sure PSG are still unbeatable in Ligue 1.
PSG only need to think about recruiting the best players before this season starts, but until now it has not been realized because PSG's target itself is to be able to compete better in the UCL, not in Ligue 1 where PSG will actually still be the ruler there. So Barcelona's success in recruiting players like Dano Olmo can certainly provide very good potential for Barcelona and I am sure the team will not release Yamal to any team even with a fairly high offer because Yamal is a young player who is quite talented at this time.

You should look at the summer of 2017, PSG caused a stir when they spent 222 million euros to break Neymar's contract with Barcelona. Barcelona just watched bitterly as PSG snatched Neymar from their hands. PSG believes that only Yamal has the potential to replace Kylian Mbappe. To have Yamal, PSG clearly understands that they need to have an offer that is so strong that their partner cannot refuse, enough for Barcelona to consider. In the context of not yet escaping the financial crisis, is 250 million euros enough? 250 million euros will help Barcelona do a lot of things. I believe that things can change with a lot of money. If Barcelona does not have a reasonable strategy for buying and selling players, I think Barcelona will fall into adversity again. What they need to do now is balance their finances. They need to learn how to make money from players, otherwise they will go bankrupt. Of course, Barcelona's budget is not empty yet, but it is only a matter of time.
PSG made a big mistake when they put high hopes on Mbappe, they believed that Mbappe would continue to stay at Parc des Princes with all the luxuries offered, from a high salary to other facilities. Now they have to bear the loss because they did not get any money from Mbappe departure to Real Madrid. PSG are used to signing big-money players, their bid for Yamal would again break their previous transfer record when they signed Neymar from Barcelona. The offer is very tempting, but Barcelona has no intention of releasing its young star despite receiving a high offer. PSG must look for other targets before the transfer window closes, bringing in quality players needs to be prioritized so that they can compete with other teams in the Champions League.

This season started without striker Mbappe, you will see how influential he is for PSG. Luis Enrique knew that in advance, so he needed to find suitable names to fill this vacant position if he didn't want a difficult season. I still want the rumor that PSG wants to recruit Lamine Yamal to be true. Lamine Yamal is probably the hottest young player on the transfer market this summer, PSG is always willing to spend money on stars like that. I don't know if they are scared this time or want to continue setting the world transfer record.
Like seriously, Lamine Yamal? You know that’s a no go area and Barcelona are not allowing that youngster to go. It was even because of his influence that Nico Williams will be joining them in order to play as duo in the frontline. I don’t see this happening no matter the offer they present to Barcelona to let him join them. They should scout for another young player in the market because they won’t get Lamine Yamal in their squad for next season.

I don't see any possibility of Lamine Yamal joining PSG. Lamine Yamal is a very talented young player. It is admirable that Lamine Yamal is performing so well at just 17 years of age. But at the moment he will definitely not go to a team like PSG. Even if PSG offers high wages to Lamine Yamal, Yamal will not go to PSG.

We saw Lamine Yamal perform well last season with Barcelona. And Hansi Flick is trying to get Nico Williams into the squad. Because we have seen excellent performances from this duo in the Spain squad. In such a situation, Lamine Yamal will definitely not make the wrong decision to go to PSG. Also, La Liga is more advanced and competitive than Ligue 1.
