So far PSG has not recruited a striker to replace Mbappe or indeed PSG is not in a hurry in this matter and may think of trying to survive with the players they have by looking at the tactics that Luis Enrique will do in building a club without a goal-hungry winger, PSG has several wingers but yes they are not as great as PSG maybe this will be their chance to show their abilities that do not only rely on Mbappe.
Well at PSG they have a team that I don't see much potential in , to be honest, they have a coach who has had to change a lot of things, and for me a team like PSG needs to make a lot of Changes because their biggest star is gone, is there someone like Mbappé to look for? It's difficult, but they have to do something to make them perform. PS has always been first in Ligue 1, but in Ligue 1 , in the UCL, not even when Messi was there did they Manage to win the UCL, so this is one of the goals they have to set themselves.
One of PSG's problems is the incompatibility between the squad and the manager. Mbappe's departure to Real Madrid is an important loss for PSG, but the technical director's inability to match the squad is a bigger problem in my opinion. A team like PSG should have had a coach like De Zerbi, a high tempo coach who pushes the players to their limits, but they wasted time with coaches like Pochettino and Tuchel who stuck to their own tactics. Even Luis Enrique couldn't cure this team. Those who come to PSG are trying to rediscover football.
The obsession with winning the Champions League has put a lot of pressure on the team and I think everyone in the team has lost their identity. Also, the efforts to build a team on Mbappe have failed PSG. They couldn't find a top class striker and the team's confidence dropped. Maybe it would be better for PSG if Mbappe leaves PSG.
Now is the time when Luis Enrique should be thinking the most about how to do things better, because it's obvious that it's not easy, things will get more Difficult and every time there are more ways to do things right, I personally think that PSG will not be that overwhelming team that everyone thinks it will be, on the contrary, it may be that now things turn out for the best if you consider that any or all scenarios for the team can be relevant in Ligue 1 Considering that they are without star players, now they have to move as a team.
Paris Saint-Germain was one of several clubs interested in Athletic Club’s star, Nico Williams. However, the UEFA Euro 2024 winner reportedly turned down their offer this summer, a decision that reportedly surprised the Parisians.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Barcelona, and PSG are all reportedly eyeing Williams at one point this summer transfer window.
According to a recent report from Diario SPORT, Williams has officially turned down PSG’s offer. Manager Luis Enrique and sports director Luis Campos have been informed, and they believe he’ll be staying with Athletic Club.
RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins spoke about PSG’s confidence in its pursuit of Williams, which has reportedly fallen short.
“The strategy of more bling-bling seems to be confirmed,” Hawkins said (h/t Le10Sport). “Despite everything, I had heard about a star profile. Nico Williams, I had mentioned a figure of 70 percent. PSG was quite confident about this file. But no. He should stay in Bilbao.”
