Everyone expected Paris Saint-Germain to win this match against Troyes. Although they have already won the league but it is important they please their fans that were disappointment by the club's exit from the champions league. Three draws in three matches is not a good result for the champions. Mauricio, the Argentine tactician might be on his way out of the club because of his inability to lift the champions league. There are speculations that the former Real Madrid coach and French international Zinedine Zidane might be the new coach of PSG next season. Meanwhile, it was a fantastic performance from Troyes, a newly promoted side that is battling for survival from relegation. The result has kept their hope of still remaining in the French top flight alive.

They must have been too caught up in the championship celebrations that they drew in the last 3 games. Now they will win the last 2 matches and make the final. The players are on vacation mentally, but their last two matches are against very easy opponents. They will win anyway. Marseille also won and showed that they would not leave the 2nd place to anyone. Lyon lost, which was another surprise of the week. They didn't have much of a goal, either.
Paris Saint-Germain can play their remaining matches with any result at all, but if the club has at least a drop of respect for its fans, then it seems that the team should still win and show those results according to its status and capabilities. Yes, the next match is going to be very important for Marseille and Rennes. And the result is important for Monaco also as they can come out advantageous after this game ends too. I assume that they wouldn't lose any points against Brest in that home game. Monaco can really join the Champions League qualification at worst if Marseille draw with Rennes there. And they will be hopeful about that game to end just like that. I really admire Monaco's recent performance too.

Marseille team did a good job securing an away win against a relegation zone team we all know how dangerous and difficult they can be the game was not easy as it seemed despite the 3 0 score marseille team did not have more than 9 goal attempts but their attack was effective and surgical this win will make them closer to secure the second position.
This weekend will be crucial for Marseille, winning against Rennes will mean qualifications for CL and a defeat will make things complicated for them.For Lyon and Lille they are already out (or almost) from European competitions.
Tomorrow we will see Nice and Rennes winning tho.

And Rennes can take the third position from them also in case they defeat Nantes in two days. Monaco are the most attention getting team nowadays in the league. Because they have had a lasting winning streak like eight games recently. I wonder if this will help them finish the season at a better position. They deserve to be in the Champions League next season I think.
Marseille played very well by beating Lorient with a pretty convincing score. Victory against Lorient is very important. Because this makes Marseille
go back up to 2nd position, and makes Marseille's chances are very big to qualify directly for the Champions League. Now Marseille just need to focus
on winning their remaining two games to ensure they are in 2nd place. The problem is that the two teams that will be faced by Marseille in the remaining

to be honest, what currently catches my attention is the race for 2nd place between Monaco and Marseille. yesterday monaco are still ahead on goal difference from marseille (29 goals) but now their goals are the same because marseille managed to win 3-0 against lorient. only 2 matches left ahead, and marseille opponent in the next 2 matches are quite tough (rennes and starsbourg) so I doubt that marseille will get position 2 comfortably and quietly, they must be very worried

Strasbourg team was able to get important three points against brest in a difficult game because brest team is hyped at the moment they had good results lately the first half was somehow equal but in the second half strasbourg team was more dangerous and they had more ball possession and they managed to score thanks to gamero Which put them on the fifth position for now.
Brest performance in their previous matches was quite outstanding. I wasn't expecting them to lose yesterday. But, the match was indeed very tough, that both teams really struggled in the first half, but couldn't score any goal. Although, Strasbourg were lucky enough to secure a goal in the second halves. And played the rest match defensively. However, Strasbourg been at the fifth position is just temporarily. They will overtaken if Nice probably wins their next match.

AS Monaco most happiness team because waiting until 35 matchday can back to second position standing but Marseille back to their position on second place after success defeated Lorient 0-3 and right now become competitive for 2nd place finish. Marseille have 3 point left from AS Monaco on 3rd position with 2 match left. But I don't guarantee with 3rd position permanently for AS Monaco because Rennes on 4th place have chance back to 3rd position if success win against Nantes on this week matchday.

Most important game of the week for me will be Marseille versus Lorient. I mean it's obvious that Loreint is a much worse team and they will end up not being that good and they will lose.
But, the fact that Marseille needs this win order to stay at second position, otherwise going to third means a lot, that's a ton of money lost if they do that and I am pretty sure that manager and the team office would want them to win this game for sure, just so they can keep most of the players and not earn less. This stress could maybe cause them to lose? I am not sure if they would or not, but I am sure that they will want to win for sure. Just a which about them not having an easy game.

am I the only one realizing that pochettino is trying a new formation (4-2-3-1). I agree with you that this match (against Troyes) is just a new strategy experiment by Pochettino because PSG have officially won the league, there is no more pressure
but for mbappe this is a very important match, so he can stay strong as the top scorer

I highly doubt it! These new managers try out new stuff every time but at the end of the season its all wrong timing, let him do this during friendlies or preseason games, maybe he will string something up that works...for now let them enjoy their championship victory!
I think it's too late for Pochettino to experiment with PSG now, apart from they have already won the league this season, anyway it looks like Pochettino future at PSG is still unclear at the moment, other than that what @woodie said is quite true if now isn't the time to do is experiment, because there will be changes to the squad next season due with players coming and going, so if he applies new formation now of course he will have to make changes again next season.
The 4-2-3-1 formation is not a new formation for Pochettino, if I'm not mistaken this season he has applied that formation several times such as against Saint-Etienne in week 15, other than that as I remember 4-2-3-1 formation, is actually Pochettino mainstay formation that was often used when he coached Tottenham.

I think PSG didn't take their last match seriously that was why the match ended in a draw, today's game against Troyes will be all about the entertainment of fans and other supporters because PSG is champions already. Will may see goals in the game but a win or lose for PSG means nothing again.

PSG was the champion for the current time.They had huge background and they had nothing to prove here.The had played many game very well and proved themselves to many of the team.It was the reason for them to participate in the many league.Their was move on to the focus of the CL.When the game was played with the new way of the techniques and motivation is needed.

I really liked Marseille's performance against Lorient today. They completely deserved that 3-0 win by not giving so many chance to their opponent in this away match of them. And they are once again three points ahead of Monaco in the standing currently. The balances can still change on the remaining two weeks too but Monaco have a really difficult job against them to get the second position. Rennes v Monaco match on next week could be their biggest chance to do so.

Of course this match will have a more relaxed approach to it and I am expecting not less than 5 goals today as our Paris giants can't defend and the boys will be out to have fun:

They are already champions, don't have to prove anything anymore, so why should they still try their best? too much effort could only lead to injuries in the long run, that does not make anyone happy. However, they will not be happy with this season, the focus is on the CL and there they failed again for the umpteenth time.
