Lille - Monaco game started and so far Lille have been the better side. It seems to be really interesting to me because I would have waited for Monaco to perform much better than this as of the beginning of the game. Because this is an important game for them as they are fighting for the second position in the standings now. And they wouldn't like to lose their spot for the Champions League also. But if they continue to perform like this against Lille, they might even lose this game. And Rennes - Marseille duo might benefit from it nicely.

Monaco has the perfect form right now because they have had five wins in the last five matches. Meanwhile, Lille has only one win in the last five matches and they are also coming back on the back of a loss in the last match. I really believe that Monaco is going to win this match and that should take them to third place in the league standings. Only 3 matches are left and it is very possible.
This is a very important match for Monaco, it is very important to win in order to gain a foothold in the Champions League zone, but I see that Lille started this match very actively and they do not allow Monaco to do anything in attack. It seems that Lille is determined to take away points from Monaco very seriously. But Monaco is really in very good shape, they have won the last seven matches and there is only one thing that is alarming - no winning streak can last forever. Lille vs monaco is an interesting game today monaco team seem to be the favourite which is true considering the ranking and the recent results but i think this game is tricky lille team always perform well against top teams and they usually don't lose i think we will see a draw.
Lille is also a balanced team and they have ability to beat top teams. Though Monaco is favorite if we do compare with Lille. But it is football and any team can score goal for winning the match. I hope Lille will try their best to beat Monaco in this match.

Monaco has been playing very well in the last few weeks and continues with a pretty good performance. Obviously, if Monaco wins this they will jump up to the second spot in the league standings but that will also mean them playing one match more than the other teams and for Monaco to stay in the second position, The other teams above Monaco surely need to lose.
I think they have the potential to end the season in third place at least.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't there tomorrow's match between Brest and Strasbourg too?These two teams are not the top teams. But it looks like Strasbourg will have to win the match if they don't want to be overtaken by Lyon or Lens? The competition for points is very tight.

Tomorrow there is only one game which is between Lille and Monaco. In this away game, I still think that Monaco can beat Lille. And they need to do it if they don't want to be left behind by Marseille and Rennes more by this week. These are very critical weeks as there are three weeks only left. Monaco have improved their effort and form a great deal so far and reached the third spot. From now on, they have an important job like maintaining their current spot in the worst case. But they would attack for gaining more positions.

Marseille may have missed the chance last week, but they are not going to give it up so easily, they will probably get it this week for sure. There is what, 3 games left? I believe that in that 3 games they won't lose more than 3 points to get caught, they will probably get like a draw or something eventually when they guarantee it, but they will probably guarantee it this week when they win and if Rennes loses.
It's very weird feeling however to see Lille nowhere at the top. They are at the tenth position and barely at that as well, this is the team that won over PSG last year, they really crumbled apart after last year and when they sold most of their players.

Monaco are definitely going to be favoured in their match versus Lille away. Whether it is away or not, Monaco would be very close to winning it anyway. Lille are really aimless now and it wouldn't be easy for them to resist Monaco. Monaco need to continue winning matches to keep their chance for the second position. They mustn't lose their focus even a bit to continue doing this. They are already on a superb winning streak.
Monaco is a very consistent team. On the other hand, Lille is a good team but their performance is not stable. Monaco has won all the last 6 matches. And so Monaco favorites against Lille. Monaco's players are in very good form and they are still very confident. If they can maintain this winning streak, they still have a chance to move up to second place in the table.
