Marseille have taken their position back from Monaco by defeating Lorient today. It was a very comfortable win for them by 3-0 also. Lorient didn't have even any shots on goal. But Monaco are still the most impressive team to me these days. They are still on a huge winning streak now and I really wonder if they will be able to maintain that until the end of this season. It might be for the benefit of them too as they can achieve the best position they can.

Monaco really has a great chance to finish in 2nd place than marseille, even though their points are the same but in the last 5 matches, monaco has always won while marseille in the last 5 matches suffered 2 defeats and 3 wins

Marseille itself will just play tomorrow and Marseille play away against Lorient as the bottom five teams, on this occasion I personally believe Marseille will win and put themselves back in 2nd place. Likewise with Rennes who will play away but unfortunately, Rennes gets a more difficult opponent like Nantes. Sure, the Monaco team has done so well in their last few games so I think with these outstanding performances they deserve to be in the champions league next season. Their victory against Lille yesterday was not a surprise to me because they have been in prolific form.

I also think the same as you, Marseille deserves to be second in the Ligue 1 standings. There are only 3 games left. there is no opposing team that could possibly be a strong opponent for them except Rennes as I have mentioned before.

The reason is because Rennes are also still fighting for the top spot until the end of the season. Currently they are in fourth place in the standings and have points that are not far adrift of Marseille and AS Monaco.
