I understood that when he laid down behind the wall to defend a free kick. For him, I don’t think whatever is transpiring in the PSG squad matters too much. He is determined to keep doing what he loves, playing football at the top level. And for someone who has achieved so much in his career, being on top of the most goals scored list is not a priority in my opinion.

If you look at last year, Messi prepared very seriously this year both for the league and for the world cup. We miss this form so much. They became a great duo with Neymar. But I think there is a problem with Mbappe situation. All opportunities are offered to Mbappe, so Messi's number of goals was low last year. Messi wants to score, mbappe wants to score, neymar wants to score. So, each of them can't score 40 goals. Therefor, the opportunities are offered to Mbappe. That's why Messi couldn't score many goals. They are much better without Mbappe's selfish football.

Marseille played well and won 4-1. But it cannot be said that Reims played badly. Reims players also played well enough. But Marseille's defenders were able to successfully block every attack from Reims' players. Young Luis Suarez played very well and managed to score two goals. Marseille's next match is against Brest. Ligue 1 is theirs, and its uncontested. The issue has always been their run in the Champions League. Club's ambitions are to win the Champions league but they seem to be failing every time, early after the group stages. If all 3 superstars up front stay fit throughout the season. They might have a chance, finally. Their ambition should be at least to reach the finals of Champions League, if not winning it.

Last season PSG management spent a lot of money to build their team. Their only aim was to perform well in the Champions League. But even though the team had many star players, the understanding between the players was not good. So, despite performing well in Ligue 1, their performance in the Champions League was poor. If Galtier can improve the understanding between the players then PSG will be able to do well in the Champions League next season.

In this case, I think it's quite reasonable because apart from Messi being the focus, the absence of Mbappe's name makes him the only targetman.
A pretty good performance from PSG in this first match although indeed everyone doesn't seem to be too surprised by PSG's victory because almost everyone believes it will be like that.
