I do understand the Messi part, it is understandable because that guy played a whole season and then copa america and won that, it was a tiring season, he needed his body to rest a lot, after such a horribly tiring season, you just want to go to a beach and relax all day everyday (or yacth, I don't know how rich people do vacations ) and that means that dude was slacking off a lot during that period and if you take a guy who worked his body beyond limits, then suddenly stopped like suddenly and then get him back to crazy levels again all of a sudden that is a recipe for a horrible injury for sure, there is no reason to do that at all.

Their defence is not bad anyway. I would only change Kehrer to get more experienced stopper, he sometimes make simple mistakes. Kimpembe, Diallo and Hakimi are better than most sides.
