Squad depth will be very important when they are in several competitions and perhaps the reason for maintaining the physical fitness of the players will be a challenge for the coach because of the tight match schedule. Lyon are in sixth place in the standings and only four points behind Marseille in the top three and if they want to fight to save the season in a better position then one of them must focus on finishing the match with a more satisfying result.
Just one point separates 5th placed Nice and 6th placed Lyon heading into their league encounter this weekend and for both teams, a win will be crucial if they really want to finish the season in the top three of the league table. It'll be a home game for Lyon which is why I think they have more chances of getting the better of Nice but I expect the game to be a difficult one for both teams. If I'll be staking on the game, I'll go with the option of BTTS as I strongly believe they'll the two teams will find the back of the net

For this season Lyon still has the opportunity and ability to try their game as best as possible, but on the one hand Lyon sometimes also struggles to be more consistent so it will still be quite difficult to win the top three positions this season. The only thing that Lyon must maintain apart from the fitness of their own players is a more consistent performance in every match that is still there this season. Because that is what can bring them to a better position this season.

Lyon attacking play was really boring, it should have been game where they could have taken all 3 points but Reims managed to equalize and share the points, after the score became 1 - 1 it was clear that Lyon game changed significantly.
Maybe they are taking better care of their players to stay fit for the next very important match in the Europa League against Qarabag FK and there Lyon performed better than in Ligue 1, I think they are really focused on the Europa League and trying to stay in comfortable position until this phase of the standings is over.
Maybe what you said is true because a team like Lyon also really wants to be more competitive in the Europa League besides Ligue 1 because here PSG's dominance is always difficult to break by any team and that is already clearly seen from the number of PSG points and also the number of points from all other teams. So it would be good if Lyon also considered the fitness of their main players for other competitions so that they can be in a much better position during the standings phase.
It will always be difficult for Lyon to compete and break PSG dominance, it will be impossible as long as Lyon is still small team that does not have big support behind it to develop, in terms of players Lyon has clearly lost and so the quality of their game is still far below PSG.
Sometimes for some team that always fail in the domestic league, they can only have the opportunity to succeed in other competitions, there are examples of team that have proven all that and they are Sevilla from La Liga who have many European League titles considering they will not be able to break the dominance of Real Madrid or Barcelona in La Liga.
Maybe Lyon wants to do the same.
Winning ligue 1 is a difficult thing for other teams other than PSG to do, even if a few times we see other team that has managed to win the trophy like Lille did season in 2021, but it is only a lucky factor because of PSG performance slump at that time, this season we hope that Marseille can become a challenger for the league title considering their activities in the transfer market, but it does not happen at all,  when Marseille can not able to do so, then how can we expect for Lyon can do it?

To be honest, for now I don't expect if there is a team in Ligue 1 that can succeed in European competitions, considering the depth of the squad and also their very bad mentality, so we can't equate them with Sevilla or other teams which played in competitive leagues so far.

In every match, all teams want to win and make them champions every season, like what Luis Enrique is doing at PSG currently. The strongest team in French League 1 is still maintained by Paris Saint-Germain, who is at the top of the standings and has a big difference in points with the teams below.
The rows of teams at the bottom are competing with each other to get points to be in second place, which is what makes the matches interesting in League 1 this season. I think PSG is a bit burdened in winning matches in the UEFA Champions League, not as easy as the French League 1.
Yesterday, PSG lost directly when facing Bayern Munich so that PSG can only be the ruler in Ligue 1 without being able to do anything outside this competition. That is a fact that all PSG fans must accept right now because PSG only has more Ligue 1 trophies but has not had a UCL trophy during his career until last season and the possibility for this season will be the same. Now PSG's position in the UCL standings is very worrying because if the team continues to be in that position at the bottom of the table, of course PSG will not have the opportunity to qualify for the last 16 in the UCL.
I had predicted between these two, due to which my prediction has come true. I don't consider PSG to be strong enough because it is impossible for Bayern Munich to lose such a strong team match. Bayern Munich has a great record and style of play and PSG doesn't even come close.  But many people had hoped for PSG, but their hope was shattered. But one thing to watch in their match is that Bayern Munich could only score 1 goal. If PSG had scored 1 goal, they would have made this match dependent on a draw, then Bayern Munich would not have won, but in addition Bayern Munich is strong, which did not allow PSG to score due to pressure and that match lost. The way PSG have weakened themselves they need to play well and win matches and improve their position.

PSG is getting further away and difficult to catch up with, but at least the competition between the teams below PSG is still quite interesting with the points gap still close. But yes, Monaco should also be able to make its position quite safe if in the next match Monaco is able to beat Marseille. Because after all, Marseille is still a team that has bad  results for home games and thus, Monaco who will play away should be able to maximize the chance or moment  like this to create and make a six-point gap with Marseille if in the  next  match Monaco really manages to win.

But indeed, there is still Lille who will only play against Montpellier, and of course Lille can be sure to win because Montpellier is only a team at the  bottom of the standings. If the scenario is Monaco wins and Lille wins, then Lille will overtake Marseille and have a four-point gap with Monaco, interesting  to look forward to.
Yes PSG are determined to dominate the league this season. Their consistency and their squad depth set them apart from the other teams in the league. And as for Monaco and Marseille, it will be a tightly contested match. While Monaco has a good squad, Marseille’s strong form and current position makes them a formidable opponent. Both team have much to fight for, and the match could go either ways. The race for the top four remains intense, with teams battling for Champions League qualification.
PSG has dominated ligue 1 so far so without the need for determination they has actually done it, not only this season but we can see how they continue to be able to outperform every rival that exists, so far we have not seen any fierce competition happening in the league, because of a significant difference in quality and that is why they have been able to run alone to continue to win the championship trophy in ligue 1 so far,  but unfortunately we can't seen PSG can do the same in the Champions League so far, Marseille and Monaco have made improvements to their squads, but they are still not able to break PSG dominance in the league, and I think it's not because of PSG greatness, but because so far Marseille and Monaco do no have the mentality and consistency to be able to break PSG dominan in the league.

I don't know how long Paris Saint-Germain's poor performance in the Champions League will last, but things are going their way in the French league. They are currently in the lead and will probably finish the season as champions. However, one thing we forget is that for Paris Saint-Germain, the French League championship is not a goal, it is a tradition. When they don't fulfill this tradition, it becomes a problem, just like Bayern Munich couldn't become champions last year. The real goal for them is the Champions League, but they are doing really badly there this year. They were defeated by Bayern Munich last. Now they only have three games left and they will want to make it to the playoffs at least after these three games.

After Reims managed to equalize to 1-1 early in the second half, both teams started to play it safe because if one of them took the initiative to play openly, the opposing team would take advantage with a quick counter-attack. Lyon played very disciplined in the first half, they also managed to make it difficult for the home team to create chances, Reims were very lucky to equalize, a draw is very fair for both teams because they both played cautiously in this game.
Looking at the statistics of yesterday's match, what you said is very true that both teams actually do not want to lose points and getting 1 point is a satisfactory result for both teams to secure their respective positions. But Lyon could have actually gotten 3 points in yesterday's match if they dared to make a quick attack at least 1 time and continued to put pressure on Reims. Unfortunately, Lyon as the away team did not dare to take the risk so they preferred to defend stronger after scoring 1 goal.
I expected that the result of that match will be draw and we collected the same result.  Both teams could not do goals more than one . The shots of both teams were not attacking and the shots of Olympique Lyonnais team were 13 in number and 7 were on target  and shots of Reims football team were 14 but 6 were on target . The possession percentage of Olympique Lyonnais football team was 60 percent which was brilliant as comparison to opponent team and opponent team possession was 40 percent . But Olympique Lyonnais team should try to do second goal in this match but they didn't take risk which was bad decision according to my point of view. They could win this match but they could not do that because of lack of confidence.

Yeah, it should be like that, but I remember that Lyon is struggling in a difficult challenge when they have a tight schedule. Lyon also has to fight in the European league, on the one hand Lyon will not be able to put pressure on players to continue to exert more energy in league 1 just for 3 points and it will have a bad impact on the UEL. So Lyon experiencing a few draws is a very good result and it is the best way to maintain performance stability in several competitions.

From the previous six matches that took place Lyon were only able to win one match, lost one and the rest ended in a draw so that their position did not move in the standings. So efforts to play consistently need to be increased so that Lyon can more easily pursue a better standing position.

Finally, the end of the circus. The owner of Lyon must sell his club to the new owners who wanting to acquire the club and pay its debt. I do agree with you to sell this club to the Saudis, but the only problem is that no commitment has came from Saudis to acquire Lyon.

I think no billionaire investors in europe wanna acquire this club caused by it will be relegated at the end of season as per the DNCG's statement, and got a transfer ban as well. It's hard to find the new owner for this club in this situation.
I agree with you. It's imperative for the current owners of the Lyon to sell the club to a wealthy individual that will be willing to settle it's debt, probably an investor from Saudi Arabia will be a good idea for them to sell the club to. Saudi owners have a reputation of being big spenders. But like you said, the news from DNCG'S read that Lyon will be relegated at the end of the season and will also be giving a transfer ban, it will be really hard for them to see an investor who will be willing to buy the club for the price they would want.
Lyon is still given time until the end of the season if its finances do not improve then it will potentially be relegated, there are several ways to save the club selling its players but their condition will decline or selling the club to Saudi Arabian investors and paying off its debts of 500 billion euros and that will keep the club from being relegated this season, but I see Lyon owner Textor is quite calm in facing this situation and he is very confident that his club will fix the problem before the end of the season, I don't know what he will do because paying off that much debt is quite impossible in a short time.

Single-handedly dominating Ligue 1 is something of a tradition for PSG. They have been doing this for many seasons and other teams in this league have not been able to produce a team that can beat PSG and win the league title. Every season PSG wins their domestic league but PSG's points difference with the second placed team is huge. PSG has played 12 matches in France league this season and second placed Monaco has played twelve matches but the difference here is that PSG has 32 points while Monaco has 26 points. There is no room to tell how many points difference can be made between these two teams at the end of the season if such a difference of points has been made in the first 12 matches.

We can say that it was a neck and neck fight. Lyon also fought well despite being away. Lyon, who had a hard time away, could have come close to 3 points but could not do it. They should win as many 3 points as possible before the big changes that may happen in the team during the break.

As far i know financial condition cannot be solved in the short term and it took time for the particular teams to solved these situations and for an example since several years ago Sevilla and Barcelona had a problem from their financial and until now these teams cannot be says health from the financial even Sevilla has no money to bought the players this summer so from these teams we can see financial conditions is serious problem and hard to be solved

The current solution is sell some players but it would be effect to the performance of Lyon and rely on the youth players also is not good because usually they have unstable mentally and lack of experience so i think Lyon has facing very difficult situations and not impossible at the end of this season France Football Federation will decide to throw them to the Ligue 2

It is definitely going to take time for them to dig themselves out of this whole. I think they should take time and try to bring in some young players who are less known relatively and also not going to cost them a lot of money. At the same time, they will also have to let those players go who are actually taking a lot of money as wages. I understand that the performance is going to deteriorate a little. I think the target is currently for them to finish in the 6th position somehow. But the way they are playing right now, they might not be able to do that though.

It is indeed fitting that Luis Enrique builds the PSG team and focuses on the Champions League stage because so far PSG has not had a strong competitor in Ligue 1 and there is even no team that is able to match their quality so that several teams in Ligue 1 are currently only able to be a shadow for PSG.
Luis Enrique has so far been making a process with PSG and I think what Luis Enrique has done is not that bad, he managed to make the PSG team not only depend on one player so that slowly Luis Enrique will be able to make PSG much stronger, it's all just a matter of time.
PSG is an unbeaten team in Ligue 1 this season, obviously this shows the ability and depth of the squad they have although they are no longer strengthened by players such as Messi, Neymar and also Mbappe, the performance they showed is of course Enrique hard work in forming a solid squad without relying on any of the existing star players, but unfortunately Enrique seems to forget if mentality is the main problem of their squad at the moment, including when playing in the UCL, currently there is no trophy that is most expected by their management and fans other than the first UCL trophy, so I am very sure if they will even sacrifice 10 domestic trophies if it is necessary to get 1 UCL trophy,  this season is Enrique last season at PSG as a coach, so let's see how his story will end.

Yes, there are so many teams in each league otherwise the two teams would have been compared because having more teams means more matches and winning more matches then the title match then the championship title. In this way, every team wants and hopes to be the strongest and best team.It is because of their hard work that they would have joined these teams if they had not played this role in it. In every league there will be one or the other team which will be at the top and with good performance. Along with this, other teams are also strong. If it also works a little harder, it will also be in the title of this league. The matches will be interesting because there are many teams who play with equal performance so there is more interest in these matches.

Looking at the French league standings, I think it's very safe to say that Paris Saint Germaine are mostly likely to retain the league title at the end of the season. The reigning champions are currently six points above second placed Monaco but considering the performances of both teams in the league this season, I strongly doubt Monaco will be able to catch up with them and that I think means that the dominance of PSG in the league is ending anytime soon.
Do you you have a contrary opinion? If yes, let me read yours.
Well lest not forget he point difference from Monaco is just six and that means it's very possible that any possible slack from PSG end, would be an advantage for Monaco, rhya haven't gotten the point difference that can be really reassuring enough for them to really relax, they can still be left behind if they loose two games in a row, I know the dominance of PSG is strong in ligue 1 but don't underestimate what can happen just like Manchester City in the premier League.

To achieve consistent victory, a team must have quality players to compete and dominate the league and what PSG did will be much more difficult for other teams to do because they do not have quality players and also their management does not have good finances to recruit players needed by the coach. It is difficult to stop PSG's dominance in Ligue 1 because there is no quality for other teams to achieve more satisfying results and they are also not supported by the club's finances.

PSG's burden is only one, they have not been able to do much in the Champions League and maybe this problem must be overcome by Luis Enrique in order to become one of the teams to be reckoned with because now when talking about competition in the highest league, PSG is not included in the category of strong teams to compete.
