Lens hasn't found their perfect rhythm yet. They have had this amazing game in the Champions League, but they are still in the midst of some issues to get back their consistency from last season. I like the team because they are the typical underdog that can surprise the big teams, which is something I like a lot in sports. I thought when they had their victory over Arsenal that this could be the beginning of a great phase for this season, but it didn't last very long. It's often surprising how much volatility there can be for a team when one week they can beat Arsenal and the next week everything is different again.

At the start of this season PSG was the only team with quite warm talk but not about their greatness as French giant team but as big team that experienced significant decline in performance.

We don't know what Luis Enrique was thinking so he didn't immediately make some improvements to overcome the problems experienced by PSG and there will be quite lot of negative talk about him as coach.
Even though PSG is slowly starting to stabilize who knows whether this will continue or is it just a surprise maybe in the future they will experience another decline in performance.

There will be competitors at the start of each season but remember it still early so there plenty of time to see who is actually the strongest here.
Of the 3 teams above I still not sure they will have consistent game so there isn't much hope for them.

What they have achieved is inseparable from their internal problems, which have made them what they are today. Inconsistency has been a problem for them for a long time, even last season they also felt the same way, and it's just not what we see now. Now will they continue to be in this state? Who is responsible? maybe here is not a big problem, because they can still compete for the title, but the problem is when they are in the Champions League.
There their players can't perform like they did in Ligue 1, because it's very different there.


If other leagues compete competitively because they compete consistently, while here we compete in inconsistency, right? lol
You're right, when I look at other leagues, the passion is different than when I look at this Ligue 1. Actually this is not something new here, because the past few seasons they have also shown something similar. Even a club like Paris Saint Germain who is labeled as the strongest club here is still inconsistent in their play. Well at least the competition is still here even with a different situation.

It's a shame that Lens failed to win at home in the match against Lille last night and made them only draw 1-1. In fact, Lens have a full chance of winning, especially since they are the hosts and their previous victory against Arsenal in the Champions League or the previous week when they beat Strasbourg is expected to increase their confidence in being able to win again.

But unfortunately it didn't go quite smoothly because after all the opponent was Lille and from the start this was a match that was quite balanced in terms of squad depth. Even so, at least Lens can still secure one point to continue advancing to a better position and for Lille they have to be thrown to 7th place in the standings after only managing to get one point in this match.

Lyon have good chances to won the match especially after they leading the game with scores 3-1 in the first half but unfortunately Lyon players seems lost to focus even 3rd goal from Lorient is pure from Lyon player mistakes and after 3 matches with Grosso Lyon only able to collect 1 points which this is poor records since Grosso handle this team but there is a hope for them because if we see from Lyon upcoming opponent Lyon only will fight against weak team Clermont and we all know Clermont had worst statistics if we compared to Lyon so in my opinion Lyon have to utilized this match to bounce back and return to winning ways and i am sure Lyon can able to do that

Despite their recent performances and results from previous games, Paris Saint Germaine is the strongest French club at the moment and that's why I've never doubted their strength as team and what they're capable of doing when playing at their best.
After the goalless draw with Clermont and the defeat in the UEFA Champions League last week at Newcastle, I know PSG manager Luis Enrique would definitely have a change of tactical approach that'll help them best Rennes yesterday. Kylian Mbappe didn't score in that game but was instrumental to his team's victory

Yes, unfortunately Lyon match ended in a draw result, bad enough Lyon couldn't maintain their lead. The fans I think very disappointed with that result, anyway Lyon gave good hope in the first half, but disappointed in the second half. But yeah, a draw is not too bad rather than a loss. Lyon performance is still unstable, but we saw the difference in the match against Lorient at first half. And I think there is a possibility that Fabio Grosso can improve Lyon performance in the upcoming match against Clermont, but I'm not too sure either.

To be honest, with the way PSG performed in their previous matches I didn't expect them to win against Rennes especially away from home, but I was impressed and I hope they've rediscovered their form with this current win, i love the way Hakimi plays he a very talented player and has contributed alot to PSG'S success this season and I'm not really suprised he scored in the match.

 PSG are the title defenders and therefore they shouldn't be dropping points and I love that they claimed all 3 points against Rennes yesterday and have moved up in the table to the 3rd place, and 2 points behind the current league leaders Monaco, the gap is not very wide therefore they need to win Strasbourg in their next game to close in on Monaco and probably top if they carelessly drop points,  PSG would be playing at home and have more advantage to win the game.

Every league in Europe except Ligue 1 is very competitive. In the Bundesliga teams like Bayern Munich, Leverkusen and  Dortmund are fighting for the title. Both Manchester City and Arsenal are chasing the title in the  Premier League.

In La Liga, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will fight for the title.  Only in Ligue 1 do we see every team's performance erratic. Even PSG's performance has also been erratic, but what makes PSG ahead of other teams is that they have a strong squad as well as a  very experienced coach. This is why they have the highest chance of winning the title in Ligue 1. And maybe in the next few weeks we will see them at the top of the Ligue 1 table.

Mbappe was not a pure striker and he was feeling better to play as winger instead of striker. This is why his performance was not as good as when he was playing at winger. Mbappe feels so hard in adapting himself to be a striker.
I would prefer to see PSG used that scheme instead of put him as a centre forward to replace ramos but the won against rennes still nothing but this can be used as a way to boost the confidence of PSG in league 1.

I expect the match to become even harder than before.

As I said in the previous post, PSG will win this match, especially if Enrique doesn't do strange things by experimenting with systems, patterns and rotating his players. as far as I know, Enrique relies heavily on his 4-3-3 system. and it was proven, they won this match. IMO, PSG have actually found their rhythm, but their problem is in their attack line. Apart from that, sometimes PSG's defensive line tends to underperform and often makes mistakes which result in blunders. I think as a coach, Enrique is very aware of the squad of his team. also, which system is appropriate for his team. Unfortunately, he always insisted on trying to do experiments.

In the match against Rennes, PSG played very well and Vitinha scored the opening goal for PSG. 4 minutes later, Hakimi took advantage of a pass from Warren and was able to convert it into a goal. while Mbappe, he wasted several big opportunities that he had. one more thing, I think Enrique should play Gomcalo Ramos more as a supersub player. he would be better off playing as a substitute, rather than playing as the main starter. and the ideal one is Kolo Muani, in fact he is able to position himself well when Hakimi passes and scores.
Furthermore, PSG will host Strasbourg next week. If Enrique maintains his system, and at the same time gives Randal Kolo Muani a chance, I'm sure they will win the match again. Well, one thing I understand based on my point of view. PSG's problem is their center forward, but it's worth remembering that both Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani are not ready-to-use players who always score goals. but as they develop, these players will reach their level of play. and for me, Kolo Muani is more ideal as a center forward. However, it still needs time.
Next, Assensio will return to playing with his colleagues.  He can be relied on by Enqiue and can be a center forward option in their squad. Finally, this match is according to what I predicted, even their odds are quite good at @1.94.

At least PSG were able to get three points in last night's match, I think that's good enough, BTW, it's still too early to say who the toughest challengers are for the title this season, of course we can see that currently there are Monaco, Nice and PSG, all three of which look like they might be competing head-to-head. tight until the end of the season, currently it is still early in the season so it is difficult to say who the toughest challengers will be, because usually the club that is not the favorite can become the toughest challenger, depending on how consistent they are until the end of the season.

Mbappe has more interesting games ahead (for status) - with the Netherlands, and then with Gibraltar. France is leading by a huge margin, so they can play relaxed, and Mbappe can improve his statistics (at least in the game with Gibraltar).
After the resumption of the national championships, it may make sense to bet that Mbappe will score (or even score 2+) since his scoring drought should not last long and the opponent is quite comfortable.

Honestly I wish PSG not to be able to make it to the Ligue 1 title this season. This performance doesn't deserve to win anything. Mbappe has been out-of-form recently as well which makes them even more inconsistent.

But of course they can't rely on only him. Sometimes we see a good team play but mostly we don't. Luis Enrique needs to do everything he can to improve this side of the team. When Mbappe leaves the team I don't know what they will do. Of course they can technically play strongly as long as they make a good improvement in team play. But can they do this? I don't know if this is related to Luis Enrique or the management of the team as a whole.

PSG is highly inconsistent during their games,sometimes they destroy good teams like they did to Lyon some time ago and like they did to Rennes this weekend.Monaco is a strong contender this year but they are not consistent either so it will be interesting to see how it folds out between these two teams as honestly I doubt Nice would be any real danger or any real contender to the title despite being high in the standings just check how many goals they have scored and you will agree with me.Marseille also looks distant from the title fight so far but Marseille is a team that when it gets steam it can be a really consistent winning team so let's wait and see.

I just talked about the Bundesliga where in the end they have a tough opponent for Munich, namely Leverkusen. But seriously, I don't see this in Ligue 1. Other teams are quite strong at the start of the season like this but in the end they become inconsistent which makes it very easy for PSG and very favorite to win the League championship again. Last season they were only 1 point ahead of Lens but currently Lens are slumped in the middle of the standings. I can't confirm whether Monaco and Nice can perform consistently this season because they had rankings that were not good enough in the previous season.

I also think that the champion of Ligue 1 will be PSG in the end. The reason for this is that the performance of any team in Ligue 1 is not regular. Each team's performance is erratic. No team is able to consistently perform well. This is why PSG's performance is a bit weak, but this team has more chances  to become champions.

Table-toppers Monaco have won 5 out of 8 matches, while second-placed Nice have won 4 matches. Last season we saw Lens play brilliantly. But this season they are at the bottom of the table. Also the performances of teams like Lille, Marseille and Lyon are quite poor. Enrique was not able to stabilize the team now. But I think gradually we will see more excellent and stable performances from this team.

The 3:1 divorce win against Rennes succeeded in bringing PSG up to 3rd place and only 2 points different from the 2 leaders, namely Nice and Monaco, but unfortunately I didn't place a bet on that match even though PSG's chances were bigger, but many times I was disappointed by the result of the defeat. PSG in several matches and maybe with this victory PSG will be more confident and confident that they will be successful against more difficult opponents, PSG strikers have difficulty scoring goals but are lucky other players can score goals to achieve PSG victory, so far the PSG player are quite solid they help each other and don't just rely on the main striker to scored goal.

Luis Enrique should not have made many experimental changes to find the best formation tactics because he should really focus on looking for wins and victories. 4-3-3 is quite good because this formation makes it easier for their players to really understand the actual position. Instead of the 4-2-3-1 formation where Mbappe did not play in his actual position which made it difficult for him in the match.

It's possible that Luis Enrique wants to make a big change by trying a new scheme, but this is not the right time to implement a new scheme because PSG really needs a win in order to reclaim the top standings from Monaco. Yes, Rennes victory is good capital for them to continue on the winning path and return to the top of the standings. In the Champions League they also have to focus on winning again after being humiliated by Newcastle United.

In Ligue 1, PSG will not have problems and despite the fact that Monaco and Nice are several points ahead of them, Enrique will be able to correct this over time. The result after the match with Newcastle was important, apparently everything is fine with them, major defeats can happen, but the main thing is that this does not break the team. PSG still have a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League group and also for the Ligue 1 championship.
