I just saw the fixtures for next week, there is one big game that we will be able to watch and that is the meeting between Marseille and PSG which will take place inside the Stade Velodrome, this is Marseille home ground.
PSG got win this week them to match Monaco and go top of the standings but with next week match against Marseille maybe things could change because Marseille are also strong team after taking advantage of the previous transfer market to bring in some great players.
I think there is chance for Marseille to share the points by holding PSG to draw and this is big advantage for Monaco.

Since Marseille brought in Greenwood, his performance has been very different and has had a positive improvement. And now Marseille must face the challenge of PSG which is known as the strongest team in league 1 and also has a strong defense.
However, from the previous 5 meetings Marseille was able to beat PSG 1x and this could be a consideration.
If in that match PSG will only get a draw, it seems that Monaco must return to the top of the standings because Monaco will face Nice which I think is easy for Monaco to beat.

This is a match between two top teams in the current standings and Marseille who are playing at home will of course try hard to win the match later but on the other hand we also have to look at the overall strength of both teams and in my opinion PSG is still better and stronger than Marseille and if PSG can bring out their best performance then playing away I think will not have a big impact on PSG being able to get a win.

PSG seems not terrible at league these days, trying to keep the lead obviously and battling with Monaco, and even Marseille is looking very close, so PSG is barely doing fine at the league, but if they are barely fine at the league that is a bad look.

Not only that, but they also look terrible at UCL this season so far as well, not entirely sure if extending the contract for Luis Enrique made any differences, I felt like that was good because they needed him to do better and they didn't want him to have that contract in his mind when coaching, but looking at the result right now, I can say this didn't went as according to their plan, they are looking not that great and could have some different results. I believe they need to do much much better, what they are showing right now is terrible and Louis Enrique shouldn't feel comfortable with that new contract, because he could very well be fired if they keep playing these type of games as well.

Last season we saw PSG have the same confidence and consistent performances that we saw this season but we don't see the same confidence and consistent performances from them. A player has moved from their team to another team and here is a huge gap. Before the start of each season PSG do not worry much about their local league tournament but there are doubts whether PSG can win this league. PSG themselves realize that their team has obvious weaknesses in some positions and if they don't overcome these weaknesses they will never win the local league. Maybe they would have been better off if PSG had recruited some players after Mbappe left.

Yes but what can be said is that PSG once again couldn't win in the Champions League against an opponent that under normal conditions they should be able to beat. It's close to obligatory to win that game since they played at home. But no, again the same problems and the Champions League is a different competition that they still have time to adapt to out of nowhere after having played against all these mediocre opponents from Ligue 1.

They had 18 players that newly joined them, but about as many players who left PSG. What's true is that they didn't buy a heavy weight that could have replaced Mbappe, but the team is full of great offensive players and they should be able to beat PSV Eindhoven. They barely beat Girona 1-0, then lost against Arsenal 0-2 and now tied the game against Eindhoven 1-1. That's a pretty bad outcome in the Champions League so far.

If Marseille want to fight for the title or qualify for the Champions League, they need to perform consistently well in every match. If there is no consistency in performance, Marseille will gradually fall behind. I am looking forward to see how the Marseille players perform in the upcoming match against PSG. If Marseille can play well in this match then I would say this team will be able to finish second in the table.
Today PSG will prepare their players to compete in the Champions League before they all meet Marseille this weekend. And I generally have no doubts about the level of consistency of the Marseille team players because so far Marseille have made so much progress in their own performance compared to last season. Ligue 1 fans are indeed waiting for the PSG vs Marseille match in Ligue 1 because it is a match between two teams that already have almost equal strength this season.

I also think PSG vs Marseille will be a very competitive match. There is no chance to call the team weak in Marseille this season. PSG's players have scored 25 goals in 8 matches, while Marseille's attack is also quite strong. Marseille's players managed to score 21 goals in 8 matches. Moreover, this match will be played at their home in Marseille. At home, of course, Marseille's players will be more confident. The fight for the Ligue 1 title will become more intense if PSG drop points against Marseille. Marseille, Monaco and PSG are fighting for the title this season. But if PSG continues their winning streak then we will see only PSG dominance in Ligue 1 this season as well.
We will watch the match between Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and Olympique de Marseille. Both teams are good teams of this tournament . PSG is top team of this tournament and has 1st position on points table and that is not small thing.  It played 8 matches and has 20 points on points table and  Marseille played 8 matches and has 17 points and that stat is not  bad . If we will see recent performance then we will see that Olympique de Marseille is favorite for that match because they won 3 matches out of 5 matches and one was draw and they lose only 1 match.

PSG not having a notable star is for their own good because depending on just one player is very bad and would not make the players to have that confidence in themselves when that one player is out or injured and can’t play with them. After Mbappe left PSG, we can now see the true strength of PSG and how they’ll perform in their matches henceforth. So far so good for them now and I think it’ll make them to be well situated in some positions they feel they can’t attain as a team. PSG will have higher chances in this match but they should still beware of Marseille because they’ll try their best to win this match also as they want to make some significant move up the standings.
This is how things work, we are talking about star filled teams that gets a good result. Back in the day you were right, teams were built in a way where everyone on the team played very well together in chemistry and harmony.

But these days, every team tries to get a star, and that is why it's important to have some stars on your team. Too much, or bad chemistry could ruin it, look at Real Madrid for example, they added Mbappe and if you ask me they look worse than last year, I am sure he will get used to it eventually, but not so far. But at the same time, no stars would cause trouble, look at results PSG is getting right now, they have no star and they rely on each other every game and nobody steps up and this is why they are getting bad results.

Marseille is competing well with all the other teams in the league this season and while PSG is at the top of the points table, Marseille is third on the points table. This match is very important for Marseille on the one hand because if they win they will move to number one or second position in the points table but on the other hand this match is more important for PSG. If PSG wins this match, PSG's point gap over their nearest rivals will increase slightly, which will put them far ahead in the title race in their league tournament. Since PSG currently lacks a notable star, they will have to try to perform well as a team and move forward in that way.

One thing i like about Marseille is the most goals they score in their matches and they are they second team that has scored the most goals in the league after PSG. I think the match between Marseille and PSG will be a very tough game because Marseille are just 3 points below PSG because PSG has 20 points while Marseille has 17 points so the match will be more important for Marseille knowing very well that they will equal same points with PSG if they win and considering the fact that they are playing at home will also give them more confidence of home advantage. For the fact that PSG struggled to a draw with PSV in their Champions league match on Tuesday will even cause fatigue among some of the players so i don't think PSG can win Marseille.

They might be thriving in the Ligue 1 but when it comes to tougher competition like the Champions League I don't think they're there yet, yes they got a good squad with a handful of word class materials but they're not putting enough effort outside their domestic league and that's why they don't go far in the Champions League, I think you're right in all you said @Majestic-milf, PSG are only dangerous in France but outside the French soil they tend to be very weak that's why you'll see teams like Newcastle that gave them tough challenge last season then Sporting and PSV this season, it's understandable when they give points against a big club like Juventus but drawing with Sporting and PSV is not enough if they want to be the Champions of Europe, I feel PSG are really satisfied on being the Champions of Ligue 1 and not nothing else.
Luis Enrique knows that he might lose his job if PSG fails to make an impact in the UCL. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is an ambitious man who desperately wants PSG to win the European competition. The game with PSV was painful because the host dominated the match. Call it superstition, PSG might be under a spell because they have done almost everything possible to win the UCL and failed.

They are also facing a strong opposition in the Ligue One this season with both Monaco and Marseille closing the gap on them. The match against Marseille is very important because a draw or loss might make them drop to the second position if Monaco can beat Nice. And with the performance of Monaco in the Champions League, where they bashed FK Crvena Zvezda 5-1, Nice might not be a problem.

PSG does not have any progress, but you say PSG has great progress in Ligue 1 because basically PSG only has good dominance in Ligue 1 from season to season but not for the Champions League. So, no matter how good PSG's previous squad was when they had Mbappe, Messi, Neymar and some other luxury players, the reality is that PSG still failed in the Champions League. So, the poor results that PSG got at this moment in the Champions League are not at all surprising because such poor results have at least often happened also in previous seasons.

But about whether Luis Enrique's career at PSG will be in danger of being fired or not, I personally don't really believe about it. Because after all, PSG also did not bring in any players after Mbappe's departure in the last transfer window. Thus, maybe if Luis Enrique brings in new players in the January transfer window later, it might make PSG have improvements which seems like Luis Enrique's position I think will still be fine.

If there is any team in the Ligue1 that might surprise PSG this season in the league then that team would be olympique de Marseille, I think they are in a very strong position to challenge for the title. They are tactical, they play with a very good pace which helps them on the counter attack and above all they have the ability to win anywhere which is one of the reasons I believe they can challenge for the title. They have a squad that is capable of winning big things with players like Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in attack and Mason Greenwood who have been fantastic this season for Marseille and am looking forward to seeing them in the champions league next season.

The match between PSG and Marseille will greatly affect the position of both teams in the standings, so far Marseille looks able to put pressure on PSG although maybe we will not see this happen until the end of the season, because indeed their dominance is too big in ligue 1 so far, with the tight standings situation like today of course gives us hope to see a more competitive ligue 1 and it can happen if indeed Marseille managed to win over PSG like you say, so far PSG is in bad mentality condition after the negative result they got in the UCL and Marseille should be able to take advantage of that to be able to win points later, but even so it may be a bit difficult for us to see Marseille can beat PSG considering the inconsistency that still plagues Marseille this time Cry

Referring to the results of the PSG vs PSV match in the UCL, the results cast doubt on PSG's match when they visit Valodrome, Marseille's home base. However, PSG is still more favored than the home team. Although, there is doubt when PSG plays against a team that is arguably slightly stronger than its competitors in Lique 1. Clearly, the results of this match affect the Lique 1 standings for the time being. Because if the home team is able to win the home game or draw, Monaco has the opportunity to overtake the top of the standings again. Well, we agree that PSG seems to be experiencing a situation that is not in high confidence. The results of the match in the UCL, of course, can have an impact on their performance in this competition. Even so, this match is a challenge for De Zerbi and his team. Can they take advantage of the situation, winning at home and PSG's current condition. Or, PSG is still too strong to be broken by its rival teams in Lique 1. We will find out the answer this week, when the two teams meet to get full points.

Maybe this will be enough for them to win Ligue 1, because very few teams are able to spend more or less evenly the whole season without slumps, so far Monaco is trying to do this, but they have a young team and I am not sure that they have enough experience and strength to move together with PSG until the very end. And for the Champions League, PSG definitely need to strengthen the attack, because this was their main problem at the end of last season, even with Mbappe, and now nothing has changed, they attacked a lot in the match against PSV, but were able to score only one goal, which was not enough for victory.

This is a very decisive match for both teams, both Paris Saint Germain and Marseille victory is the main thing they must get in this match. For Marseille, victory will bring them equal to Paris Saint Germain's points, of course if they succeed in getting it then it will make the competition even more interesting. Honestly, for me, I want to see the victory can be obtained by the home team. Because as I said before, a victory for Marseille will make the competition even more interesting. In Ligue 1 there are always surprises but if the team meets PSG I think a surprise is a little impossible because PSG's game strength is already very good even though they still have some gaps that need to be fixed. With a stronger game this season I am sure PSG is the favorite to become champions again. Maybe Monaco can spread a lot of competition but I doubt Monaco will be able to maintain its consistency until the end of the season.

Without a doubt, the dominant team in Ligue 1 is PSG, of course one sees other performances of some teams, Marseille, Lille, are outstanding teams that have always been there, but it is a mystery, for example the clear example of Lille, they beat Madrid in the UCL, many will say that that result can be achieved with luck, but come on, Lille has an incredible defense, Madrid could not tie and that is significant, it means that this team if it tries can go very far, so I think there is still a long way to go in Ligue 1, Luis Enrique is without a doubt one of the coaches who maintains his level, I like what he does.

Matchday 9 will present one of the exciting matches that brings together the top teams, both teams are aiming for three points in this match, especially Marseille who acts as the host. Marseille and PSG will field their best squads because this game is not easy, they must keep all lines focused and prevent the slightest mistake in order to prevent opposing players from scoring goals. Marseille must strengthen their defense because PSG front line is very productive, while PSG really needs a win to maintain their position at the top of the standings because Monaco has currently collected the same number of points as them.

I would say PSG was the unlucky team against PSV. I wouldn't say that PSG played badly in this match. With an experienced scorer in the squad, PSG could have won this match by a big margin. PSG's match strategy was good. PSG players were able to create a lot of scoring chances. But PSG couldn't score more than one goal. I would say it is PSG's misfortune.

PSG players made a total of 26 shots in this match. 8 of these shots were on target. On the other hand PSV players made only 8 shots in total. PSG's players managed to have 61% of the ball possession. PSG played very well. But due to the lack of experienced strikers in the squad, he could not score more than one goal.
I said it one of my posts that PSG haven't got the stuff it takes to survive in the champions league, they they're only good in the domestic league. Hey, no need to defend them that they don't have a good finisher else the game would have been in their favor because how then do they net the goals they do in the Ligue 1? The truth is they struggle when they are not on home soil if not I really didn't see any threat that PSV presented. I mean this is the same club that lost to Juventus and drew with Sporting. They've not had any three points and PSG with their calibre should have defeated them instead we saw how they were misusing their chances and it's as if PSV knew they weren't going to get three points, they decided to defend the one they got which made things equally hard for PSG.

Yes, PSG's UCL has ended and unfortunately they couldn't optimize their performance so they ended up drawing against PSV, Even though they had a lot of chances to score goals, so many wasted goals in this match. They really lost a striker who could score goals productively.

I would say PSG was the unlucky team against PSV. I wouldn't say that PSG played badly in this match. With an experienced scorer in the squad, PSG could have won this match by a big margin. I don't think they lack experienced strikers, because they are quite good at scoring goals in Ligue 1, but it is the big pressure of the Champions League. I think they are not well controlled so the mentality of scoring goals is not there. Unfortunately, I don't think it is just the pressure that cannot be achieved. They handle it well, you can see that they only scored 2 goals in the Champions League and scored 25 goals in Ligue 1. It is clear that they cannot handle the pressure of the Champions League well at all so failure comes to them.
I admit that PSG does not lack experienced attackers but it seems that this only applies to league 1. As we have seen several PSG performances since the start of this UCL match, PSG has had more difficulty in getting a bigger score. And all of that is indeed a bad impact from previously relying too much on 1 attacking player like Mbappe and now PSG must work together to rely on all players to create a strong performance but still looks weak. Enrique must be careful if he wants to continue the PSG squad to survive in the current UCL, at least he must look more stable even though he has difficulty scoring but continuing to try to get a draw will be a better result than having to lose points.
