I was actually thinking about activating the spree at some rough morning hour (on my end), in an attempt to favour waking someone up, over them getting distracted from the road. Left it as is for now (maybe next time, but I killed the fun by mentioning it now).

Note: I used to run Source Merits down, and the sprees did try to nibble into the personal merit allocation. With the last merit allowance increase I seem to only be able to do so budget the spree with Source Merits. They are now low enough though to, perhaps, start depleting the personal Merits in a week or two though regular usage (let’s see) …

For the records, my Merit band is muted between 1:00 AM and 7:00 AM (you all know which timezone I am referring to), so doing a merits spree during these hours wouldn't activate it. You won't be able to wake me up in the middle of a night and make me tush to the keyboard to beat @neuroticfish to it!

As a hint, I will say that DdmrDdmr made a lot of posts in his merit spree  Shocked

One may need certain knowledge to get it.  Smiley

The pun level is high on this.

It appears that DdmrDdmr is getting so efficient at sending merit that he doesn't even have to visit the send merit page.
Ever heard about the Internet Of Things? Looks like it finally was able to connect itself to the bitcointalk source code
I have a pretty good idea how DdmrDdmr was able to bypass the send merit page, but I don't want to ruin the fun.

Spree caught me driving and I did have to sort of stop coz I jumped a bit thanks to so many notifications out of the blue... if 1000 ways to die was still a thing, getting showered in merits could have some potential for it

I detected a spree of 489 merit sent in 284 transactions in 4 minutes 35 seconds (240 seconds), or 2.0375 merit/second 1.183 transactions/second.

You guys are making me nervous:

Here are my findings:

EDIT: had to manually check that  4 minutes and 35 seconds are actually 275 seconds.
Yea, that is my bad. I forgot to add in the number of seconds to the total.

It appears that DdmrDdmr is getting so efficient at sending merit that he doesn't even have to visit the send merit page.

According to my calculations, the spree lasted about 4 minutes and I can only say that @DdmrDdmr is definitely one of the most effective merit sources, of course along with all the other deserving members of the forum. Thanks for the merit rain Wink
IIRC, the merit DdmrDdmr sends in these bursts is not even his merit source sMerit, it is his personal merit that he sends when he runs out of source sMerit.

This time I'll try to be here before fillippone and tell that a new meriting spree has just ended.
And if when DdmrDdmr reads this: maybe the posts from Archival should no longer get merited though  Wink

You must be fun at parties...

Don't get fooled, He is not using a script; He is simply programmed that way by some higher power
I am plenty fun at parties.

I think it is fair to say that aysg76 was genuinely interested in how DdmrDdmr sends merit so quickly. So I explained it to him.

Everyone knows that in this simulation we are living in, LoyceV is the superior AI, who then programmed ddmrddmr and other confirmed AI's.

Post Mortem Analysis:
This represents an average of 2.04 merits per second and 1.07 TX/S
How in the hell is he that fast like seriously 2.04 merits per second? It usually takes me 4-5 minutes to find out a good post on the forum which is worth meriting

He uses a script to actually send the merit. He also uses a database query to get a list of posts he has previously sent merit to that meet certain criteria. The output from his database query is used as input for his script.

How in the hell is he that fast like seriously 2.04 merits per second? It usually takes me 4-5 minutes to find out a good post on the forum which is worth meriting and I have to go through ton load of shitposts to find them hiding under that pile. But speaking of @DdmrDdmr he has surely some sensing nerves on the forum like an AI robot who detects the good posts on the forum and press the merit button hard on it.The pattern which i have detected for him is like giving 1-2 merits on the quality posts and guides whether on any board and then after few time re-meriting them with 1-2 making total merits in this manner at last 3-4.But i was not aware of that speed.Even Buggati Veyron takes a little longer to reach 100km/h but that's surely that he is some super human when it comes to meriting the members.

Going to make an digital illustration on his speed like the one above for his speed. The one like Flash @DdmrDdmr with lightning speed of merits given.

Appreciate you also @fillippone for taking out this detailed results for his merit spree.

Post Mortem Analysis:

345 merits sent to 181 different posts from 115 unique users in 146 different threads from 11:58:50 AM to 12:01:39 PM, or 2 minutes and 49 seconds.
This represents an average of 2.04 merits per second and 1.07 TX/S

How does it compare to the last meriting sprees?

For all the details check this thread: 181 posts merited (by me) in just under 3 minutes – What’s got over me? (v 13.0)
