It depends about bitcoin because people selling own alts to get or sell bitcoin. In my opinion if bitcoin die people will find new coin which will be changing all prices

With the recent decrease in value of Bitcoin, the value of almost all the altcoins dropped too.
Now BTC is rising again and so are the altcoins.
I am thinking that if Bitcoin ever crashes, I mean completely drops to a very low value and when doesn't increase anymore.
Then the altcoins are going to drop too and won't have a high value anymore too, which means the cryptocurrency world will die.
Is my statement just nonsense or can it be correct?
I'm curious of what you all think will happen to the altcoins if BTC crashes for real.

if we suppose bitcoin will be no more then we will trade other coin with USD pair or ETH pair ! Eth will be the next to stand but i dont think so bitcoin can be eliminate from the crypto ! so dont worry happy trading

Bitcoin is already recovering now and it seems that this will continues to rise even until a month or two. Being the king of all the cryptos, i can't imagine how cryptoworld will look like without bitcoin although there are altcoins that are legit enough to be its successor.

Every altcoin reacts with Bitcoin so the whole crypto filed is dependent on Bitcoin market capitalization and Performance of Transactions and Positive news in the market so while ecosystem moves with Bitcoin
Altcoins are best option for investment as we know that Bitcoin is too expensive every can not afford it.Currently many coins are cheapest you can easily and hold them for long term.

Heard the theory that Alts prices are related to the momentum of change in BTC price. When BTC price goes up or down with great momentum, Alts prices drop. When BTC price moves sideways / stagnates, Alts tend to go up.
The cryptocurrency still has a long way to be recognized in the world. The most adverted coin is BTC many holders are people who bought this coin on the wave of hype. They don't understand the market and sell their BTC immediately when the price is dropping. So, for now, as long as cryptomarket doesn't have trust and understanding from common people , all other alts are very deeply connected with BTC. When the market will be more developed connection will be not so dense.
these are two things is either, altcoin supersedes bitcoin or bitcoin supersedes altcoins. whatever an individual will say now is bascially speculation based on the previous trend in the crypto world.
First of all, I don't think altcoins will exist without bitcoin. But it doesn't mean that if bitcoin crashes, the alts will never get back on track again. All the crash that happens are just temporary and the coins will be back on green days again.

i think that the altcoins is just a temporary coins. i always trusted in the bitcoin because it is more secured for the information of the bitcoin user.
Bitcoin is the basis of cryptocurrencies. However, altcoins are developing quite well and I do not think that they are only temporary coins. Maybe not all will survive, but the best for sure.

In my opinion BTC will only crash if there will be no demand on the market. As we all know BTC is very in demand now so it'll take more years for us to see if BTC will really crash. For now let's not think about BTC crashing because we've invested so much in crypto (unless you did not) and I am not ready yet about turning my investment to zero soon
the future of bitcoin can not be predicted because bitcoin is very fluctuating when meamng peminat from bitcoin also big I think bitcoin will still survive until whenever
If you actually take note of the crypto-currencies trading market chart, you would notice every times when bitcoin price starts to drop, I could say at least 90% of the altcoins in the market would get into the red zone too, there would only be a few altcoins that stands to rise whenever bitcoin values starts to drop.

Temporary for what? even ethereum can be considered as the main competitor to the bitcoin. Bitcoin is the same with altcoin. What will be happening if satoshi give ethereum name to the bitcoin and not bitcoin? Altcoin is improvement version of bitcoin protocol which majority of them already did a lot of improvement from the bitcoin protocol to create such new protocol that was even better than bitcoin.

You are wrong in the fact that some coins do not depend on bitcoin, and the most important advantage of a coin will be this quality in the future. After all, bitcoin is not eternal, and there are a lot of altcoins and I hope that the most reliable and promising will survive.
