Technology is the source of the modern world. It has changed our civilization. Technology makes the world comfortable and more powerful. Man can do a work or his personal job very quick and securely. It's a great opportunity to lead a gorgeous life now a days only because of technology. We can't think the future without technology. It's a part and parcel of our live. Atomic power, robots, construction equipment etc there are lots of items we have to make the world easy.

In my opinion technology is getting obsolete very quickly. For example just few years ago people were using GPRS in their mobile, then they shifted to Edge Technology then now a days people are talking about 3G and 4G/LTE Technology.
Same applies to all kind of technologies. First people were watching TV, then LCD, LED now OLED, Curve, 3D and 4D.

Perhaps on the contrary technology is our future? I want to see a lot of electric cars. I also want to see a teleporter. Well, free wi fi is already very close! Many genius people are still searching for the better future, as we observed a lot of changes in this world by developing the computer technology. Almost powered by electronic system to make faster and easier proccessing for improvements.
In the digital age, communication is very practical. Humans no longer need to wait for days to get an email reply (email). In addition to emails, phones, video calls, short messages, pictures, videos, everything can be sent directly from A to B without any time difference at all, no matter the distance between the two. It's enough to look at films from the 90's, the technology shown at that time seemed to be a distant future. Now it's everyday for everyone. What the future will bring ... who knows.
Might get obsolete but other better technologies appear instead.

Since people likes innovation, technology becomes obsolete very fast. They discover and improve things quickly to improve the quality of life, to make life convenient and easy for everyone. However, I really think that this has some effect on people, people will become lazier and less sociable because everyone will depend on technology and gadget.
I think technology in the future will be much better. Because remembering the more advanced technology in various aspects of human life. With the development of technology, new things continue to emerge, people continue to innovate freely so as to bring the latest innovation, greatest, and very creative.
I think OP is right and tech is advancing faster and faster. It actually advances exponentially, it just doesn't always seem so as we are still pretty far down on the exp curve, but as we move forward it will become more pronounced that we are advancing significantly.
