All wallets stick from time to time. Best to just restart them. However, if you're not getting connections, go to the block explorer(s) and get some peers.
novaexchange also posts their most recent peers.

You can add them to your configuration, or manually. If you need further assistance on wallet setup, PM me. I'm running the same wallet, no problems.
