The next version will support X16R/S and CryptoNight-Light as well as Raven, AEON and Sumokoin with default pools.
Stay tuned.
What about best straps for hynix MJR memory?
Can you add parsing timings from strap in string?

While I can understand that you don't want trouble supporting weird mod of cards, Branko and the other  guy trying to test GGS just reported a legit bug in the software:
if you select OPTIMIZE & select Criptonightv7  you get a thread  exeption: the given key isn't present in the dictionary.

And because I'm writing on bugs:
Fan: minimum is supposed to be 0 % and not 20 %
Fan2: if you modify it and click on copy to the same cards, ggs crash and restart

Custom pool: can't be selected for CNv7

Missing algos: CN7lite

Quote from: Branko
Is memory strap optimization done dynamically, or handpicking from already premade straps?

Relevant question about straps, Branko. I think it tests the timings one by one, according the all-failed tests.

Does anyone know a guide how to modify the straps on RX580's for better cryptonight/cryptonight-heavy performances? I am currently with a BIOS mod for ETH and it seems that weaker cards are having far better results in terms of hashrate in comparison to my card! I would really love to use the max potential of it!

Hi, zawawa! Are you still fighting with windmills? I repeat my old question. When are you going to release competitive miner for any card or algo?

Please come back after you carefully study the latest version of GGS. Cool
can you publish some speed results, e.g. for sapphire nitro+ rx480 8gb samsung or reference vega64 or vega56. Let's say ... for cryptonight v7 and cryptonight heavy. Or maybe some other algos you feel GGS is doing good

Zawawa, could you please advise what kind of intensity should I be using for Cryptonight-heavy algo? I have tried to mine it with the same settings, that I use for the normal cryptonight algorithm, but it seems they are too high for the heavy algo. I am not really experienced into these algorithms, since I am mainly mining ETH, but I would really like to try and see what my profits would be on the heavy one?

I just need to write the following in the bold print somewhere...

1. GGS does not support Blockchain drivers.
2. GGS does not support modded BIOS'es.

I just don't have time to support discontinued drivers or hardware that is way out of specifications
as GGS itself does some pretty wild stuff under the hood. Hope you understand.
1- So do you recommend the lastest Adrenalin drivers in compute mode, okay?

2- Of course, 'cause you can't guarantee the stability of a modded strap. But, the Optimize button fails at all if a modded bios is used?

1. Yes.

2. That entirely depends upon the modded BIOS and which algorithm you choose to optimize.

As far as I understood in my limits its that the optimize button work at the moment only on default pools.

1. I used it on default pools
2. I thought its optimizing hardware (GPU), not something specific to the pool, but
someone correct me if I'm wrong...I mean, why would miner hang if its optimizing
the way it works with pool?

No luck for me with this miner, back to command line

(continuing where miner last time stopped/crashed is bug, not a feature, when it hangs on
"optimize" button)
Same here. All tests failed.

I'll try with just one GPU to see if works.

It's a tool with huge potential.

In x16r not all the algos are created equals.

So, if you wish to optimize, you may think to start from the one that are not so equal

Well, some algos are already more optimized than others, so it is hard to tell at a first glance which algos are most optimizable.
Optimizations should be pretty straight forward, though. We will see...

@Nitrobg.
Go stock, acefawn sg-miner and then tweak sg parameter. I got 7.x . Average, I mean
Cheers mate, perhaps after the cryptonight boom I'll recheck aceneun/sgminer-gm-x16r. So far I've tried brian112358/sgminer-x16r and it gives quite low results even at a high intensity. Haven't tried running on custom threads/worksize but even at 7MH/s it is not really worth it over ethash.

My first impression is that I should be able to increase performance quite a bit if I really put myself into it.
I will push initial support for X16R today and work on optimizations thereafter.
Awesome! What hashrate can a 580 achieve?
Is it possible to include those optimizations on X17 as well? Right now, Verge-X17 is about as profitable as Ravencoin(X16r) and it's a shame that the RX cards don't have a proper miner for it.
